Bug ID: 146950 Summary: clarify difference between "screen" and "on-screen show" in slide's paper format Product: LibreOffice Version: 7.3.0.2 rc Hardware: All OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Impress Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: stephane.guil...@member.fsf.org Description: Following the fix for Bugs 142286 and 142288, we now have two slide sizes for the aspect ratios 4:3, 16:9 and 16:10. ("screen" versus "on-screen show") It would be good to clarify why there are two variations of each. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open Impress 2. Go to "Slide > Slide properties > Slide tab > Paper format 3. Click on Format dropdown Actual Results: Two variants of each aspect ratio 4:3, 16:9 and 16:10 Expected Results: Explain how they are different, e.g. with "MS Office compatibility". Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: Yes Additional Info: If clarifying the name itself in the dropdown takes too much space: - Is a tooltip in a dropdown possible? - If not, adding the information to the documentation should be enough (and in that case, we can change the "Component" of this bug report to "Documentation".) But it should be added to the help pages in any case.
