            Bug ID: 149390
Summary: From Insert Hyperlink... (to Document), search doesn't
                    drill down
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: 7.3.3.2 release
          Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
                OS: Linux (All)
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: minor
          Priority: medium
         Component: Writer
          Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
          Reporter: lblyt...@gmail.com

Insert Hyperlink... (<Ctrl>+K) opens a dialogue.
Select the Document option on the left, to link to a document known to exist on
a local filesystem.
To the right of the Path: textbox, click the Open File button to launch a file
browser in order to locate the document.
The file browser offers a search button (via a magnifying-glass icon at the
upper-right).

The search facility only finds "hits" immediately below the directory in which
the search is launched - it doesn't drill down into subdirectories below that.
So, unless you know the parent directory of the document you're looking for,
the search is basically useless: instead you may as well just manually browse
the current directory for the document.
