After [File - Open] the svg opened in Draw O.K except text area was solid
black.
When example SVG was inserted into Writer the text inside was visible.
Under Ubuntu 14.04

Please note that winXP is endoflife. If you can update to a linux distribution
or at least a newer still supported windows. thx.
