Download page on Ubuntu Xenial:
1) Open a new LibreOffice Impress Presentation
2) Go to View > Master Slide

Going through my instructions to reproduce the bug above, I saved off an
".fodp" copy at each step, resulting in "Example_odp.fodp",
"Example_ppt_before_close.fodp", and
