We shouldn't comparde the number of page coming from the database and the number of page of the resulting document. Having the number of page coming from the database as a static information is normal. It is the purpose of merging docs. But having the number of page of the resulting document as static is not good as any further change in the pagination of the resulting document won't be taken into account and would lead to mistake. for exemple, if we add a page on the resulting doc, we would have printed page 3 of 2 whish is a mistake. If this remains dynamic, we would have page 3 of 3 whish is normal. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 42747] EDITING VIEWING max/min values in currency field columns of table controls in db forms are wrongly interpretated
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=42747 --- Comment #3 from Stefan M cluste...@web.de 2012-03-26 02:27:03 PDT --- Before I do that, did you try the example? I think I stated quite clearly, why the simple fields are there. The simple fields are currency fields /outside/ of a table control. There, the min/max values work as defined. While for currency fileds /inside/ a table control they do not. There the currency fields' min/max values are actually divided by 10^n where n is number of decimal accuracy. In the combined form you can even see the effect on the data directly since the fields in the table control and simple fields display the very same data (something that wouldn't be wise in a real application, I know!) and you can see the effect of having the correct data, incorrectly displayed, and once changed in the table control, the data in the database table gets incorrect (as can be seen in the corresponding simple field). If you wish I can of course reduce the number of fields, but it will miss out some aspects of the problem. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

Try this: + open a new document + type some text + click on save button + type a name with .doc extension without choosing a file format and validate So you get the alert on file format which ask you to keep MS-Word 97/2000/XP/2003 format or to use OpenDocument Format. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 46699] Try to open CSV empty (with 0 bytes) writes garbage data to file.
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=46699 --- Comment #4 from Jonathan Kamens j...@kamens.us 2012-03-26 07:20:54 PDT --- Well, that may provide a dictionary definition of what a compound document is, but it doesn't change the fact that what the user perceives here is garbage. In particular, when the empty CSV file is opened and Text CSV is selected as the type for it when prompted, the spreadsheet opens with a row of nonsense, non-ASCII characters in it. If that's the compound document meta-data, then LibreOffice is interpreting said metadata incorrectly. And then if you use Save As... to save the file immediately after it is opened, the saved file has all sorts of garbage in it, instead of it simply being an empty plain-text CSV. So while the root cause of the issue may very well be that Microsoft compound document code is somehow being executed when it shouldn't be, the fact remains that from the point of view of the end user, there is in fact garbage in the file that shouldn't be there. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 47909] New: FILEOPEN: Quoted field as text puts properly quoted text into multiple cells instead of one.
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=47909 Bug #: 47909 Summary: FILEOPEN: Quoted field as text puts properly quoted text into multiple cells instead of one. Classification: Unclassified Product: LibreOffice Version: LibO 3.4.4 release Platform: x86-64 (AMD64) OS/Version: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Spreadsheet AssignedTo: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org ReportedBy: b...@mailinator.com Created attachment 59076 -- https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=59076 Example csv where quoted text is not treated properly. When opening a file containing text that is quoted properly (i.e. double-quotes around it and no double-quotes inside of it), which contains line-breaks inside of the quoted text, the text is put into multiple cells instead of one, like it should be. The char set is UTF-8. The text delimiter is . the cells are separated by tabs. And only Quoted field as text is ticked in other options. An example where this is happening is attached. Basically cell I4 look like H4. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 42747] EDITING VIEWING max/min values in currency field columns of table controls in db forms are wrongly interpretated
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=42747 --- Comment #4 from Stefan M cluste...@web.de 2012-03-26 08:50:39 PDT --- Created attachment 59077 -- https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=59077 test cxase for wrongly interpretated currency fields in tablControls, created with LibreOffice 3.5 The test case contains a simple table with two colmunns (real1, real2) and the corresponding form. The form contains two simple currency fields at the top (outside of a table control). min/max values are set to +/-100.00 for real1 (default) +/-12345.67 for real2 Both controls work as expected The table control below contains two columns displaying real1 and real2 as well (for demonstration purposes, nothing you would do in a real world application) min/max values are set as above to: +/-100.00 for real1 (default) +/-12345.67 for real2 For row 1 of the table I set the values of real1 and real2 to their maximum values. As can be seen upon opening the form, the values displayed in the table control are divided by 10^2 (2 being the decimal accuracy here). As long as the values in the table control are not changed - only displayed, the values in the table are still correct. Once you delete e.g. one digit in the table control column and re-enter that very same digit (in effect not change the value), the data actually gets changed in the table and the corresponding simple currency control field at the top of the form. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
