[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 33899] Autocorrection replaces dates with fractions
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=33899 --- Comment #32 from Ian Goddard godda...@hotmail.co.uk --- Maybe we should consider test cases what would be considered acceptable ways of handling. Here's a starter: A spreadsheet describing stock in a warehouse. The columns are (1)product description, (2)put-away date and (3)bin number. Autocorrection is allowed. In column 1 entering '1/2 copper tube' and 'Tube, copper, 1/2' should be rendered '½ copper tube' and 'Tube, copper, ½' if autocorrection is turned on or left as is if it's turned off. In column 2 entering '1/2/14' and '1/2/2014' are interpreted as dates according to the rules of the current locale (remember that for some of us this would be the first of February, not the second of January) and date formatting rules set for the column. Column 3 is more problematic '1/2', '1/2/14', '1/2/14/1234' and '1234/1/2/14' could all be valid bin numbers and entered as is. This implies that all interpretation should be able to be turned off on a column (and, by extension, row) basis. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 48017] Language Modules disappear with Roaming Profile
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=48017 --- Comment #8 from Alberto Ruiz ar...@gnome.org --- It seems like the problem is partially in hunspell, it collapses large file/folder names into old 8.3 file name format. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 77909] Standard button does not reset the style, formatting, ui
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=77909 --- Comment #3 from ak akujb...@gmail.com --- The manual says a new style is created to match its parent (if one is defined using the linking feature), which probably means match on those items for which the parent has been changed from system defaults, but I suspect this point is not relevant, because if there is only one set of system defaults, then the new style will have the same system defaults as the parent for those items. So it comes down to the new style matching the parent, and matching the default, it's the same thing. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

Long after that fix I'm still loosing images in impress - when loading and trying to edit together large slide decks. Nothing reproducible but ... horrible. FWIW: someone contacted me with that very same problem. I could do the job by: - fully loading all slides in both applications (so in Normal/Edit view pgd through all the slides) - then in Sort view copy some 5, 6 slides per time and paste in the other presentation - and save after each paste So this sort of helps to ensure that all in memory copies of the presentations on screen have all the graphics .. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=62038 --- Comment #21 from Uwe Dippel udip...@gmail.com --- Wow, we have a 'solution'!!? ;-) With Ubuntu 14.04 (LO 4.2.3.3) when I open my old .odp files containing eps and svg images, I get an Error: General Error. General input/output error. and that's it. The solution here is, that files showing wrong svg-s and eps-s earlier, by now do not load at all any longer. Meaning, files created with LO 3.6 simply cannot open any longer. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 77927] New: Make Pivot Table much faster: Data fields should be at column, rather than at row
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=77927 Priority: medium Bug ID: 77927 Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Summary: Make Pivot Table much faster: Data fields should be at column, rather than at row Severity: enhancement Classification: Unclassified OS: All Reporter: suokunl...@gmail.com Hardware: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Version: 4.3.0.0.alpha0+ Master Component: Libreoffice Product: LibreOffice Created attachment 97954 -- https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=97954action=edit a ods file which shows how pivot should be like to make it much faster and useful Just see my attached 1-row example. Try to add one more data field, you will see that calc takes a long time to draw the data. Currently when you insert a pivot table, data fields are placed at rows. This makes pivot table freeze and useless in large spreadsheet files which contain a large amount of rows. For example, for a pivot table with 1 rows in the row field, when you add 2 data fields you get 2 rows, when add 3 data field you get 3 rows The most importantly, data fields at rows is not good for data analysis. I guess very few people like this layout.
