Example file now working

I could fix the problem by double-clicking the problematic formulas and exiting
the formula editor. When I saved and reloaded, the problem did not return.

I remember seeing a report like this, but I cannot find it.

Can you please try my attached fixed file, if you can make it broken again?

The file is saved from 6.0, but I tried also with 5.4.3 and same good result.

Description:
I have some buttons in Calc and Writer created with following details: 
Aktion: Document/Webpage open
URL: Path with document name 
See attachment 1
If I click on the button, the file will open. This is propper. 
Now I save and close all documents and finish LibreOffice. 
If I restart the document with the button, the controlfeld are 
Aktion: Not
URL: is grey with Path and with document

I must always the feld action new setting on: Document/Webpage open and URL. 
That‘s not good. 
This problem appear since LibreOffice 5.4.2 before problem didn‘t exist. 
Sorry for my english. I‘m learning yet. 

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create a button in a document A with a link to other document B open.
2. Save and close all documents.
3. Finish LibreOffice.
4. Open document A.
5. Click on button to open document B.
6. Document won't open.
7. Call up the button properties.
8. You can see "Action: No" and
9. grey URL: Path of document B

Actual Results:  
In LibreOffice 5.4.2 and later document B won't open.
In LibreOffice Version: 5.3.7.2 (x64) document B will open.

Expected Results:
Open file (document) B.

User Profile Reset: Yes


OpenGL enabled: Yes

Additional Info:
After the bug in LibreOffice 5.4.2 and later I return to LibreOffice Version:
5.3.7.2.

Second example document showing the bug

This is a second example document showing the bug. The actual problem is that
the equations are randomly changed at one part of the document with another
equation in the same document. Even if you can fix individual equations by
double-clicking, they are not restored into their original place. 

The equations in their correct places you can see in the second PDF attachment

In the comments to the blog post about missing fonts or default table styles,
not sure, some replies requested to get rid of serif fonts. Serif is best for
printouts, while Sans fits screen reading purpose. Mixing both in one document
makes absolutely no sense. So my take is to go with Sans.

Sample file contains a table (positioned a few centimeters below the first
paragraph). Opening it in LO Writer puts it in the first paragraph, regardless
of the stored positioning.

table is placed a few centimeters below

It looks like a missing feature, since tables have no position attributes in LO
Writer.

Dialogue Extras -> Optionen... -> LibreOffice Calc -> Formel:


„Matrix Spalte” must be „Matrixspalte” or „Matrix-Spalte”

„Matrix Zeile” must be „Matrixzeile” or „Matrix-Zeile”

„ODF Tabellendokumente” must be „ODF-Tabellendokumente”


Note the wrong spaces inside the combined nouns. They are a widespread plague
and therefore ironically called „Deppen Leer Zeichen”.

Note that „ODF Tabellendokumente” also appears in Laden/Speichern -> Allgemein
-> Immer speichern als. Same with "HTML Dokument" and „ODF Textdokumentvorlage”
and „Unified Office Format Textdokument”


Further: Open the sub-dialogue via LibreOffice Calc -> Formel -> Details
Here see the following typos:

„Auch Sprachabhängige umwandeln” must be „Auch sprachabhängige umwandeln”

„Auch Eindeutige umwandeln” must be „Auch eindeutige umwandeln”


Note the wrong upper case characters, a typical side effect of the government
commanded orthography change in 1996. Further note that upper case here means
that some human beings are (or a female human being is...) dependent from
something, i.e. „Drogenabhängige” == "drug abusers" or "drug addicts" or
"female drug user" or "female drug addict".

Reference: §58(1) of the official orthography rules (from 2006, but there has
not been any change since then). There is even an example sentence:

„Der Verkäufer zeigte mir seine Auswahl an Krawatten. Die gestreiften und
gepunkteten gefielen mir am besten.”

Many newspapers and people write „Gestreiften” und „Gepunkteten”, because upper
case writing is believed to be progressive and modern.




In „Laden/Speichern” -> VBA-Eigenschaften:

„Basic Code” must be „Basic-Code” or even „BASIC-Code”. Discuss!

„Original Basic Code” must be „Original-Basic-Code” or „Original-BASIC-Code” or
„Originaler Basic-Code”. Note the difference between the noun "Original" and
the adjective "originaler".




In „Laden/Speichern” -> HTML-Kompatibilität:

„'Englisch (USA)'” is enclosed in apostrophes, but it should be in „”; it's
untypical to use single quotes, as these are used for quotations inside
quotations.




In „LibreOffice” -> „Personalisierung”:

The word "Theme" or plural "Themes" is not translated. A suitable translation
could be „Thema” or, perhaps better, „Farbschema”. A non-translation is ugly
and a stumbling block during reading.

Description:
My Zotero add-on installation failed due to Java issues. On going to
Tools->Options->Advanced, no java runtime environments (JRE) appeared in the
list. I installed the latest 64-bit version of Java (8u151) but the list was
still empty. "Add" and selecting the Java folder also failed to find the JRE. I
tried installing other versions of Java but nothing helped. Eventually I took a
suggestion to install the 32-bit version of LibreOffice and this worked
correctly with the Java 32-bit version installed. So it seems to be an issue
with the 64-bit version. Problem occurred with LibreOffice Writer 5.4.3
installed on Windows 10 OS (all up to date).

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install LibreOffice 5.4.3 64 bit
2. Install Java 8u151 (64 bit)
3.Tools->Options->Advanced

Actual Results:  
No items in list of JREs

Expected Results:
The Java version just installed should be in the list


Reproducible: Always

Not sure if this might have some side effects not yet aware of. In Basic,
arithmetic calculations take an empty SbxVar as 0 and string operations as
empty string, as they should, so in that context we're good.

MS Word and Excel picks up the first line of text or at least the first few
words as the default file name when saving a new document. This is a handy
feature.

I had to fill in the name if I didn't want it called untitled1

In some experiments, both character and Mapiq were selected by mouse, yielding
correct placement of the Mapiq when font was changed. In other experiments,
only the character was selected and the reported behavior was seen.

The Table tab of the Table Properties dialog utilizes a GtkListStore[1] of
values to fill the Text Direction GtkComboBox, when it should utilize
svxlo-FrameDirectionListBox and its code based strings[2] similar to the
Alignment tab[3] of the Paragraph dialog.

This issue should also be resolved in columnpage.ui[1] (Insert > Section >
Columns) as well to time save time for translators not to have to retranslate
them multiple times. Would be good to fix up frmaddpage.ui[5] (Insert > Frame >
Frame > Options) as well if possible, though it has 2 additional items.

The attachments do not really demonstrate the bug.
The attached file types are *.odt and *.odg, no file is PDF.
In the *.odg files, the Hebrew text is reversed - could be another bug. When I
changed the text box direction to RTL, it displayed the dot to the left of the
Hebrew text.

Please attach a fillable PDF file which actually demonstrates the bug.

I have just installed LibreOffice (stable) 5.3.6.1. and a presentation I did
with Impress on 5.2 now appears much more pixelated as with the previous
version. I have tried with a couple of fonts (Caladea and Calibri) and I see
the same problem.

Screenshot comparing the two methods

In this screenshot, we have the phantom method on the right, with pink bg
colour. From what I can see, the vertical alignment of the equal sign matches.
Same result on Windows.

You might want to attach an example document where you see the difference.
I anchored the formulas as To character to be able to line them up like that.

The screenshot you attached looks exactly like mine one on my computer.
Ok, you're right, the equal sign vertically matches the words "sin" and "cos".
But I think, that the whole formula (i.e. the words "sin", "cos" and the equal
sign) is not vertically centered in relation to the scalable braces on the
left.

You can see that there is no space above the "pi" in the non-phantom-method. In
my opinion the words before scalable braces should always be vertically
centered in relation to the scalable braces. The phantom-method looks nicer,
doesn't it?

The equal sign is at the correct place. It is in line with the + sign and the
fraction bar.

The problem is the figure 2 in the denominator. It is much larger as the italic
π. Therefore the scaling bracket, which adapts to the size, extends more down
than up.

You can get better looking brackets
 by reducing the size of the figure 2 {size*0.8 2},
 by setting π to upright {nitalic %pi} (as it should be, because it is a number
and not a variable)
and/or by increasing the distance between fraction bar and numerator (Format >
Spacing > Category Fractions).
