The reason is indeed the list in the local table cell. How was this created? I
cannot produce such file.

If I resave the file in strict ODF 1.2, I get the assertion

A list is allowed formally in a table cell and works for an external table like
a writer table. For an legend item only a paragraph is allowed. If a local
table is generated for example while performing a copy operation, the
content of the paragraphs from the table cell are connected with a 
character to get a single paragraph, which is used in the local table cell. I
guess, that the same trick is used for displaying the legend item in case of an
external table.

So yes, the error still exists.

You misunderstand something: no other application uses VCL except all
OpenOffice.org derivatives (so LibreOffice in your case). When you use the kde4
backend of LibreOffice, it is not using GTK style, but KDE style.

In your other screenshot you see the VCL GTK3 backend having the effect you
were expecting.

I don't understand your original description. Is there any mistake in the above

Is it possible for you to highlight with picture?

There is a feature called "Apply spacing between Asian and non-Asian text" in
"Asian Typography" tab of paragraph style. If you enable that, space will be
inserted between Asian and other scripts.

The original Excel now shows the correct sum in cell I12 on open.

There are some other bugs on formatting, but I guess new bugs should be filed
on that, if they haven't been reported already

I don't encounter the issues mentioned in comment #9, is that with a new

Spinoff from bug 106154: Dialogs display in order of a second or two,
especially when initiating dialog display :
- styles modify dialog
- character dialog ;
- paragraph dialog ;
- numbering and bullets (particularly slow);
- page dialog.

Displaying or removing the sidebar doesn't seem to make any noticeable
difference.

There is a lag on Windows to, but - mostly - limited to the first opening.
However, could be related to the screen resolution

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Launch Writer
2. Open the sidebar -> Styles
3. Right click a style -> modify 
4. Close dialog; repeat step 3

- numbering and bullets (particularly slow);
- page dialog.


Actual Results:  
Dialogs are opening slowly

Fast and snappy dialogs

Description:
open a .vsdx, save as .odg. After trying to reopen the .odg Message
"Lesefehler. Formatfehler in Teildokument content.xml an Position
2,3473(Zeile,Spalte) in der Datei entdeckt." appears

Steps to Reproduce:
1.open any .vsdx (Visio)
2.save as .odg
3.try to reopen the .odg saved at step 2

Actual Results:  
 "Lesefehler. Formatfehler in Teildokument content.xml an Position
2,3473(Zeile,Spalte) in der Datei entdeckt."

Expected Results:
open the file

Now we have three shortcut for repeat search when cursor is placed in the Find
toolbar: Enter, Ctrl+G, F3, which we cannot customize.
So, Title this bug report ether should be renamed to "to do customize shortcut
for repeat search in IDE" or should be closed as Fix because Ctrl+Shift+F is
set.

I take this bug like a customize shortcut for repeat search because I see code
and want to try solve this issue.
If a bug report of customize shortcut for repeat search exists, add me CC,
please there.

There are improvements I would appreciate:

First: For the sake of better visibility the shaded field for an index entry
should be at least one character wide. Inside that shaded area the context
menue should reliably include the line "Index entry...". 

What I see when stepping through the text with LeftArrrow, RightArrow makes me
think that the inserted field is a character with width zero but the shading
extends into the following character. In the demo text this is very visible
looking a Michelbach where the shading covers part of the letter M.

Second: I would like to be able to jump into index entry editing from the lines
in the Index.

Third: The context sensitive help pages should be the right ones. E.g. the Help
button in Alt-EEE is answered with

My environment is MS-Windows 7 SP1 on a Thinkpad Laptop with a screen
resolution of 1366x768. Writer is at level 6.0.2.1. I have no local help files
installed I am using those from the internet.

And here are my step-by step instructions:
1. Start up your writer
2. make sure that View / Field shading is not selected
3. Download

4. Open the downloaded document with writer
You should now see a few lines Lorem ipsum ... followed by an Alphabetical
Index with the entry lines.

There is no hint so far where these entries are inserted in the text.

5. You can try to use navigator to find these - I was not successful to do so.

6. Now turn on Field shading
Three tiny shaded rectangles will show up in the text.

7. Turning on View Field Names has no effect - What kind of field is it? It is
shaded but has no name?

8. Move your cursor over the shaded areas. For two of these areas a tooltip
pops up showing part of the entered index entry. However at least in my
environment no tooltip shows up when hoovering over the entry at the end of the
line after pariatur.

Next I try to enter the editing dialog for the index entry.
9. I click somewhere in the word Lorem, press Pos1 (cursor is now at the left
edge of the shaded area) and then Alt+EE. The menue shows the line "Index
entry..."
10. I click between the Tab-arrow and the word Lorem  (cursor is now left of
letter L) I press LeftArrow  (cursor is now at the left edge of the shaded
area, same as before) and then Alt+EE. The menue shows no line "Index entry..."

11. I click in the word Michelbach after M and LeftArrow (cursor is now at the
left border of the shaded area at the beginning of the line), and then Alt+EE.
The menue shows no line "Index entry..."

12. I click on dot after periatur (cursor is now at the left of the shaded area
but after dot) and then Alt+EE. The menue shows no line "Index entry...". I
press RightArrow (cursor is now in the middle of the shaded area) and then
Alt+EE. The menue shows the line "Index entry..."

It is difficult to navigate to the right place using cursor positioning with
keys. Trying to move the cursor to the left edge of the shaded area is not good
enough. The shown cursor position with respect to the tiny shaded area is not
leaping to the eye and is not a reliable indicator.

13. I try to find the context menue by moving the cursor with the mouse to the
shaded area and RightClick.
The context menue sometimes shows the line "Index entry..."  
# but it frequently fails -- some other context menue shows up. This is so even
in places where the tooltip shows the index entry.
# The line "Index entry ..." may show up even if I RightClick outside the
shaded area, e.g. when position is in the left margin left of Lorem or
Michelbach or after the end of the line after periatur.

14. To improve cursor positioning I set View Scale to 400%
15. I hoovered over the area waiting for the tooltip to show and then pressed
RightClick. The success rate was not better. I couldn't find a reliable way to
get the Context menue with line "Index entry..."

However working at that scale I made the following observation: If the cursor
is placed with the mouse to the left half of the shaded area I get the line
"Index entry...". However if the start position is in the right half of the
shaded area the result is negative, e.g. the word Michelbach is selected
instead. The tooltip seems to be triggered for cursor positions in a much wider
area not identical to the shaded area.

Hi Regina, I created that file in Calc, selecting to adjacent cells to create
the legend. I don't have the original Calc file so I created a new one, from a
similar work, which I'm attaching, together with a new ODT file.

Within the ODS file, there is a scatter chart with 3 series. The first is named
"Gui et al. (2006) CO2+Et2Scc285.19 K" and it's referenced to cell A9. The 2nd
and 3rd series are called "TEMPERATURE= 285.19 K" and they are referenced to
cell range $J$3:$L$3.

The ODT file has the very same chart pasted from Calc. If you activate the
chart mode, and open the data table you should be able to modify without a
problem the name of the first series, but not the other two. For these, the
string "285.19 K" remains appended at the end of the name.

the fix was installed in the nightly for 6.0.1 shouldn't 6.0.2 & 6.0.3 have the
fix??

Steps to Reproduce:
In any kind of document paste a pictograph character:
http://unicode.org/charts/nameslist/c_1F300.html

Actual Results:  
The character isn't shown.

Expected Results:
The character to be shown.

User Profile Reset: Yes


OpenGL enabled: Yes

Additional Info:
- It used to work.
- It works in non LibreOffice apps.
- Source where you copy the char from doesn't affect the end result.
- Disabling hardware acceleration or font anti-allising does nothing.
- Likely result of the transition to color pictographs.

XLSX which has different column widths when imported on Windows vs Linux

The attachment shows the problem: when imported on Linux (without installed
Calibri font), column A has width of 0.81 cm, while on Windows (with Calibri
font installed), the column width is 0.65 cm.

The suspicion is that the difference is related to the fact that XLSX stores
column width in character width units, and the used font is absent on system
(so some other font is possibly used for width calculations). But even if this
is the case, this is the bug, since in specific case of Calibri font, we bundle
Carlito, which is expected to be metrically compatible, and is used for Calibri
substitution; so it should be used for width calculations. Either it is not
used here, or the font still has some metrical incompatibility.

(the original report was against 5.4.6.2 on Linux Mint v.18)

I mark it as a Linux problem, but actually it looks more like a general problem
which happens to manifest itself on Linux for this specific font (I guess it
would be the the problem also on Windows if required font was missing).

As you can see in the sample file, the group with wrap set to "in front of
text" in Microsoft Word is rendered normally. 

With the wrap set to "in line with text", the group is actually rendered but
resized to small dots. And when I right click on the group in LibreWriter, I
could not change the wrap or ungroup it. Then I found out that if I change the
anchor to Page (it was initially set to "As character" by LibreWriter), the
Wrap and Ungroup menu are shown again.

I also tried to change the width of the group in Word first, and it was as you
said, the group was rendered correctly. Nevertheless, I think this is still an
annoying bug as I don't really want to change the width of the group.
