I read this ticket as the need to add MOD3 to the customization dialog (working
on a patch). And bug 117033 as ticket regarding the visualization.

Ok, sorry about that. I found it in win-5.4 with git log --all
--grep='843c6d6eec95b99e867c28ab27860215d5d72b37'
So I did git checkout 8c3429cc35c434559bf0552b9182cb9b7e404ca9

The problem is seen in that commit as well.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 117033] New: Tooltips show the wrong symbol for MOD3 combinations

2018-04-16 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=117033

Bug ID: 117033
Summary: Tooltips show the wrong symbol for MOD3 combinations
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: unspecified
  Hardware: All
OS: Mac OS X (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: UI
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: tietze.he...@gmail.com
CC: t...@iki.fi

On macOS the tooltips show a symbol for mod1/cmd (⌘) and mod2/alt (⌥). But
mod3/ctrl shows the same symbol instead of the usual ^.

An example is the function Clear direct formatting in Writer defaulting to
ctrl+M.

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today,
LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed
bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this
bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the
details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in
getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice
from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information
from Help - About LibreOffice.

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to
RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help
- About LibreOffice.

Just to report that I was caught by this bug in 5.4.5.1 (running in Kubuntu
16.10 but reproducible in windows 7).

I think this is a serious bug since this causes harm in the real world. One
colleague of mine created a report with wrong values. In a way, we can think of
this bug as data corruption. The bitmap workaround is not entirely
satisfactory.

I was not able to create a minimal example.

but nope, it has happened way before.

So ... what to do now, QA people? Can any1 confirm what I've seen? And if so,
is there anything like bibisect that identifies commit that fixed it (not the
commit that broke it)? So we can eventually backport to stable versions
