aaker thanks for following your bugs.
But when testing, it's always better idea to test also with master. Normally
you get it from https://dev-builds.libreoffice.org/daily/master/ but in Linux
it's very convenient to use Appimage in Linux from
https://www.libreoffice.org/download/appimage/ or daily from
https://libreoffice.soluzioniopen.com/.

As for this bug (test in Windows, so not Linux-only):
I first opened attachment 110518 with LO 6.2+ with steps from raal. Hard recalc
doesn't help.
Even setting to prompt user on fileopen for recalc, it asks, but doesn't solves
the issue.
Then I saved and reopened and it works. That's what puzzles me.

I remember we had few bugs with "hard recalc doesn't help".
Works with LO 4.1. I'll mark regression but that needs to be confirmed.

Elmar, please describe the problem. Tested with LO 6.2, I get correct results

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 119041] New: FILESAVE DOCX Anchor setting of charts are always saved as “As Character” regardless of the original setting

2018-08-01 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=119041

Bug ID: 119041
Summary: FILESAVE DOCX Anchor setting of charts are always
saved as “As Character” regardless of the original
setting
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.2.0.0.alpha0+ Master
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Keywords: filter:docx
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: kelem...@ubuntu.com

Created attachment 143894
  --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=143894=edit
The original file (in ODF format)

The anchor setting of the charts in text documents is not preserved: when the
file is saved as DOCX, the anchor setting is always stored as “As Character”.
This makes it impossible to wrap the text around the chart, and also results
the document content to be rearranged after save and reload.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Open LibreOffice Writer and create a simple document with some random
text in it.
2. Insert a Chart via Insert –> Chart.
3. Charts are anchored “To Paragraph” by default, so there is no need to
change this setting. Resize and move the chart in a position where it is
wrapped around with the text.
4. Save the file as DOCX and reload it.

Actual results:
The chart jumps to the first character of its respective paragraph, and the
anchor setting changes from “To Paragraph” to “As Character”.

Expected results:
The anchor setting of the chart should be preserved.

Doing a simple F9 recalc (when cells selected) solves the issue:
https://help.libreoffice.org/6.2/en-US/text/scalc/01/0608.html

Asking for fileopen recalc also solves the issue:
https://help.libreoffice.org/6.2/en-US/text/shared/optionen/01060900.html

I always set "Prompt User". And here it promtps, you say Yes and solved.
Default is "Never recalculate". Bug 107929 to set "Prompt user" as default for
"Recalculation on file load" is WontFix.

I close this one as WFM.

Recalculate

Recalculates all changed formulas that otherwise have caches values which are
normally used for performance reasons.

Recalculation options are set in Menu/Tools/Options - LibreOffice
Calc/Formula/Recalculation on file load with values: Always Recalculate, Never
Recalculate (default option), Prompt User.

Press F9 to recalculate selected cells. A soft recalculation only recalculates
dirty cells and it' useful if you disable automatic recalculation.

Press Shift+Ctrl+F9 to recalculate all formulas in the document, including the
Add-In functions. The hard recalculation should correctly recalculate all the
cells.

After the document has been recalculated, the display is refreshed. All charts
are also refreshed.

If AutoCalculate is enabled, the Recalculate command applies only to formulas
like RAND or NOW.
The Add-In functions like RANDBETWEEN currently cannot respond to the
Recalculate command or F9.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 119040] New: FILESAVE XLSX: ‘X axis’ labels and legend names disappear from chart with Excel formula syntax

2018-08-01 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=119040

Bug ID: 119040
Summary: FILESAVE XLSX: ‘X axis’ labels and legend names
disappear from chart with Excel formula syntax
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.2.0.0.alpha0+ Master
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Keywords: filter:xlsx
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Chart
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: kelem...@ubuntu.com

Created attachment 143890
  --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=143890=edit
Example document saved with Calc A1 formula syntax

If we insert a chart into the *.xlsx spreadsheet and save as *.xlsx with Excel
A1 formula syntax in the Formula Option, the X axis labels and the legend names
disappear.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Open LibreOffice Calc and create a simple chart (e.g.: Column)
2. Set the Formula Option to Excel A1 syntax: Tools -> Options ->
LibreOffice Calc -> Formula -> Excel A1
3. Save the file as *.xlsx and reload.

Actual results:
The X Axis labels and legend names of the chart will disappear. But if we do
the same steps, except we modify the Formula Option to Calc A1, nothing will
disappear.

Expected results:
The X Axis labels and legend names of the chart should not disappear even if we
set the formula syntax to Excel A1.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 119035] New: INDIRECT uses R1C1 syntax when uses 2-argument syntax with empty second argument

2018-08-01 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=119035

Bug ID: 119035
Summary: INDIRECT uses R1C1 syntax when uses 2-argument syntax
with empty second argument
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: unspecified
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Calc
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: mikekagan...@hotmail.com

Steps:

1. Put 1 to A1
2. Put `=INDIRECT("A1")` to A2, `=INDIRECT("A1";)` to A3, `=INDIRECT("R1C1")`
to A4, `=INDIRECT("R1C1";)` to A5.

Expected: A2 and A3 should show `1`; A4 and A5 should show #REF! (because in
all formulas, the second parameter is not given, so all formulas should
interpret their strings as using A1 syntax).

Actual: A2 and A5 are `1`, A3 and A4 are #REF!, so when there is an argument
separator present with absent optional second argument, it is treated as 0.

Tested with Version: 6.1.0.2 (x64)
Build ID: b3972dcf1284967612d5ee04fea9d15bcf0cc106
CPU threads: 12; OS: Windows 10.0; UI render: GL;
Locale: ru-RU (ru_RU); Calc: CL

See INDIRECT documentation:

https://helponline.libreoffice.org/latest/en-US/text/scalc/01/04060109.html#bm_id3153181

http://docs.oasis-open.org/office/v1.2/os/OpenDocument-v1.2-os-part2.html#__RefHeading__1018426_715980110

*But* MS Excel (at least 2016) does the same. So possibly this is intentional
to be compatible (bug-to-bug?).

is the performance regressione affecting all extensions or is limited to .ODT?

The destructive action of having selected a row and then deleting all columns
from the Sheet -> "Delete Column" entry, or alternatively of having selected a
column and then deleting all rows from the Sheet -> "Delete Row" entry makes
for a bad UX if done unintentionally.

Seems some warning is needed--"your action would delete all content from this
sheet, are you sure?"

Don't need to change the behavior, but should be easy to detect the case. I.e
that all columns are selected when a row is the selection, or all rows are
selected when a column is selected, and warn against unintentional deletion.

This seems like a useful idea to me, albeit complex and not realistic to
implement.
WontFix may be a reality now, but that doesn't prevent anyone to start
analyzing and preparing code.
I wish we had "DevEval" on how large a requirement is for "internal manage,
functions, arrays, compatibility", etc.

Example file with all Word-supported border styles

Word has about 24 different paragraph border styles as described here:
http://officeopenxml.com/WPborders.php
Most of these is imported incorrectly - by default a simple solid border -
since we don't have the exact same set of paragraph border styles.

Attached file has all the borders set for a paragraph, made in Word 2013.
Screenshots show how these are imported.

First step - requirement

I have for a long while experienced faulty behaviour in that the rename sheet
popup pops up when selecting a new sheet name. Today I found out how to
reproduce it on demand.

1. Copy say to cells - which is anumbered list with formula in this case set
to: =A43+1 (that is step above by one)

2. Then select another sheet to copy cell values to

3. As soon as a different sheet is selected this sticky flaw is started and
makes me worry (and I am pretty experienced) to the quality and not the least
document integrity.

4. I certainly press cancel

I use a HP laptop with win10 and run the latest libreoffice release (6.05.2)

Pleas fix it :)

Cheers

Happy livreoffice/mictosoft user

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 119029] New: Saving presentations with charts to PPTX looses data labels rotation

2018-08-01 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=119029

Bug ID: 119029
Summary: Saving presentations with charts to PPTX looses data
labels rotation
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: unspecified
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Keywords: filter:pptx
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Impress
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: mikekagan...@hotmail.com

Created attachment 143875
  --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=143875=edit
A sample with a rotated data label

Saving the attached document to PPTX produces a document where the data label
is not rotated (opening both in PowerPoint and in LibreOffice, so it's the
export filter problem). The label's c:txPr/a:bodyPr node misses rot attribute.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 115004] New technology for Calc (subcells) - Improvement

"So your request goes to ODF, presuming that Calc tables are differently
defined."

That's not how it works. There must be an implementer first before you can
suggest it for inclusion into ODF. It's totally up to us to decide if we want
to implement a new feature (and extend the ODF specs) or not.

What happens if you disable OpenGL?
In my case, I'm using 32 bits and everything seems to work correctly...
