[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 124748] Modification paragraph border always adds a new border in specific situation, with borders merged over more paragraphs

The merge with next paragraph requires that to make the edits OP asked for,
e.g. make the line thin to 0.1pt" requires that the subsequent paragraphs of
the same direct formatting be selected when modifying the paragraph format of
the top border set as a signature line.

Clearly a RTM, and if we are not changing the default to merge--setting NAB.

Ok, apologies, for some reason I ignored completely the original description

clicking the RTL button.

We use an opencl validation sheet (cl-test.ods) and install it.

The icons are not only in LibO they are also available in breeze for kde the
"origin" breeze theme, therefore I don't want to change the icon here cause in
an kde ide it will look different but the command is the same.

I understood that the difference between the items are very small, but maybe I
found another fix.

I was not aware of the Tools->Detective so I tried it out and liked it very
much.

However this too lacks the immediate feedback but is a good building ground for
this functionality. I would suggest to extend the Detective with "cell" switch.
If turned on, it would show the dependents and precendents of the currently
selected cell, so the user can navigate around the table only focusing on one
cell at a time.

It may even color the lines matched with the cells in the formula row, but it
would be useful even without coloring.

Yes, it shows for the cell in focus, but if I move the focus to another cell, I

My point is that I would like to see the calculated value of a cell and the

Oh, sorry. Just realized you actually were asking for a "multi-character"
delimiter.

No, unfortunately, we do not implement a multicharacter delimiter, just a
single character--and in your example LO was doing as told and using the first
character you enter in the Filter Settings dialog--so " " (U+0020) delimited.

I guess there is an issue here is that the filter dialog "allows" you to enter
more than 1 character in the field--but it is parsed down to just the first
character.

The filter dialog was made persistent (OOo issue 3687), but can find no
discussion of implementing a multicharacter delimiter from the OOo era or for
LibreOffice. IMHO such an enhancement is =>WF, otherwise this is NAB.

Personally I would just use the "&" delimiter, and then flush resulting
delimited file through sed to add the leading and trailing spaces.

OK but should the icons for Windows launcher(s) and the Quickstart (now Windows
only) require use of the Tango based branding Icons [1] or would Colibre based
icons make more sense on Windows builds?

Not purely a Design nor a Marketing decision.

as the user can select whatever "icon" the user want and this command need two
icons (one for change and one for no change) I don't know how to easy solve
this issue.

the "only" solution I see is to don't change the icon when the user define an
specific icon for this (two) commands.

or set the bug to wfm.

Please explain the formatting oddities.
There is only one side set as a line.

The problem does not occur when you start a new document.
So i would say that someone does not check any backward-compatibility.

And i would say that it is normal that you recycle older documents or add some
information to it.
Nearly nobody starts always from the beginning ...

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 124942] New: Impress crash Mac Osx

2019-04-24 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=124942

Bug ID: 124942
   Summary: Impress crash Mac Osx
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.3.0.0.alpha0+ Master
  Hardware: x86 (IA32)
OS: Mac OS X (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Impress
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: danielsan8...@gmail.com

Description:
Impress crash particularly if select transition animation. Then the program
restart and ask to restore the file. After that, if I try again to add or
change a transition animation the app crashes again. This happen with or
without acceleration activated. Just to note. Acceleration OpenGL is pointless
at this moment in time. If developers from both LO, Collabora etc. want to keep
developing Impress on MacOSX they have to adapt to the new (unfortunate)
standard for Mac (not sure if it is Metal Api or Vulcan or something like that)
because the support for OpenGL on Mac has been dropped long time ago. For all
mac users, for now at least, stick with Keynote.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Open Impress
2. Go to Transition
3. Select a 3D animation to be applied

Actual Results:
app crashes

Expected Results:
apply the transition and actually displayed it.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: Yes

OpenGL enabled: Yes

Hi,

I'm not sure if this bug is needed. tango is the icon theme which is not very
complete so I check the customize dialog and see there the colibre icon's when
there is no tango icon available, cause colibre is the master backup.

from my point of view this is enough for configure dialog.

Copy Ctrl+C any cell with text content; move the cursor (keyboard or mouse)
onto another cell but paste to the edit bar at the top - noting this provides a
useful visibility at times better than the cell. There is a suffix space added
that is not wanted and is inconsistent with a paste to the cell, where that
does not occur.

Risk: data errors where the cell then does not match against expected without
the extra space.

We adjusted the hardcoded use of Tango derived HighContrast theme on Windows to
use Sifr for see also bug 75398.

IIUC the other os/DE GNOME themes never picked that up and continue to draw
from the DE theme colors for the UI.

Assume there is a theme flag designating an accessibility mode that should be
read to toggle to one of the Sifr icon sets. If not, then some measure of
intensity of the FACECOLOR or DARKSHADOWCOLOR compared to the background coming
from the DE theme could be used to select the light or dark Sifr icons.

And, idealy, rather than the hardcoded use of light/dark Sifr--adopt some of
Tomaž's work on
https://cgit.freedesktop.org/libreoffice/core/commit/?id=78a4e9cb89830191e77c558759e845e5a15b9cc7
and recolor the Sifr icon bitmaps in response to DE.

How was this document created?

It has two group objects on the master page with attribute
"drawooo:display="printer". I find no way in the UI to get access to these
group objects.

Set LO to save in "ODF 1.2" so that all private attributes are removed and then
save the document under a new name. Reopen this new document and you will see
these group objects. You see it too, if you look at the preview in the print
dialog. There is no need for separate issues. It is all about these group
objects.

To solve the problem in PowerPoint, open its selection pane and switch to
master view. Select the topmost "master" in the left pane. Then you will see
the groups in the selection pane. Click on the eye to make it invisible.
PowerPoint has no option "print only", but "not visible" means "not printable"
too. So the fact, that you see the groups in PowerPoint is a missing feature of
PowerPoint. Or alternatively sent the group objects to back, so that they do
not hide the other object on the master slide.

Don't know that we need to replace the Single toolbar mode that Jay did with a
Notebook bar--but it might be another MUFFIN to provide.

> For the sidebar layout which contextual item isnt available in the sidebar?
> I really like to bring all layouts in an good shape.

No, if we are to adopt Single toolbar mode with a Sidebar deck to hold any
context sensitive toolbars--they would need to go into a Content panel holding
just the controls for the Toolbar as customized by user. We could not use an
exiting Content panel--widgets positioned to different panels would be horrible
UX.

Rather, think here the Deck would contain the elements of what would otherwise
pop-up in the activated context sensitive toolbar--but packed into a Content
panel. Perhaps with a Tab bar button widget to toggle the behavior: 1.) show
context sensitive Toolbar(s) as Toolbar, 2.) show context sensitive Toolbar(s)
packed onto a Sidebar content panel (maintain use customizations of selection
and sequence) when activated.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 124933] New: Improve repair of broken reference source

2019-04-24 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=124933

Bug ID: 124933
Summary: Improve repair of broken reference source
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.1.5.2 release
  Hardware: All
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: enhancement
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: christianw_lehm...@arcor.de

Description:
References whose source is not found ("Error: Reference source not found") can
be repaired (context menu - Edit Fields). If one then selects the intended
source from the list, a new reference code is created. Instead, the old code
should be associated with the source.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Right-click on a reference marked as an error as above.
2. Edit Fields
3. Select intended source from list.
4. OK.

Actual Results:
The code that was associated with the stranded reference is replaced by a new
code which is assigned both to the source and to the reference.

Expected Results:
The old code, still associated with the reference, should be assigned to the
selected source.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

OpenGL enabled: Yes

Additional Info:
There may be more than one references in the document which are intended to
refer to the same source. All of them are stranded if the code is lost from the
source.
As it is now, each of the broken references is to be repaired manually by
itself.
If the above suggestion were adopted, all of them would be repaired by
repairing one of them.

Christian: you are describing three different issues. Please create separate
reports for the other two and change the summary of this one to match what you
want.

In your new reports, you can just say attachment 150803 - you don't have to
upload it again.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 124937] New: crash when trying to open a .doc file

2019-04-24 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=124937

Bug ID: 124937
Summary: crash when trying to open a .doc file
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.2.3.2 release
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: LibreOffice
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: laurael...@gmail.com

Description:
LibreOffice simply doesn't work when I try to open a .doc file (I don't
remember this happening with the previous releases -- if it ever did it has
been very occasional); the file opens for a second, and then I get a
notification that due to an "unexpected error" LibreOffice has stopped working.

I manage to open the file approximately in every 10th attempt.

I manage to open the file instantly if I open it in Microsoft Word first and
save it as .docx.

Steps to Reproduce:
First of all even though I tried to download LibreOffice in English (choosing
the language option specifically) I get it in Italian only and can't change the
language of the interface. So I'm just assuming what the notifications say in
EN:

1) I try to open a .doc, and I get a notification "Due to an unexpected error,
LibreOffice was blocked.(...)"

2) I then get a 2nd notification for sending an error report and I also have
the option to "Restart LibreOffice to access the safe mode"

3) I try to restart LibreOffice and restore the file I had tried to open -->
Windows notification "LibreOffice has stopped working". This happens also if I
decide NOT to restore the file I had tried to open.

4) All the above points apply also if I open the program in Safe Mode

I have uninstalled the program and reinstalled it and opened it in safe mode
but it just keeps crashing.

Actual Results:
The program keeps crashing. Only very occasionally I manage to open the file.

The crash reason is EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION_READ

Workaround is to open it in Microsoft Word and save it as .docx and then open
it in LibreOffice -- naturally applies only if you have the access to MS Word,
or if not, I suppose you have to get another application for the file
conversion.

Expected Results:
It should open the .doc file.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
Versione: 6.2.3.2 (x64)
Build ID: aecc05fe267cc68dde00352a451aa867b3b546ac
Thread CPU: 2; SO: Windows 6.1; Resa interfaccia: predefinito; VCL: win;
Versione locale: it-IT (it_IT); Lingua interfaccia: it-IT
Calc: threaded

Also, as said I received the program in Italian even though I specifically
downloaded it from the language list as English (US) and I can't change the
language of the interface after installing it.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 124909] Swiss German Dictionary missing

We use mostly the same code to interface with the system spell checker on macOS
and iOS. On macOS, the system reports that it has a generic German ("de")
dictionary, and our code then assumes it can be use for all six German locales
("de_AT", "de_BE", "de_CH", "de_DE", "de_LI", and "de_LU"). But on iOS the
system reports it specifically has a German (Germany) ("de_DE") dictionary. As
experimentation showed (comment #3), it still accepts both Swiss and German
spelling, though, so assume it, too, works well enough for all six locales.

Now "Deutsch (Schweiz)" shows up in the menu, too.

I does show for the cell with focus already..
You can use it in combination with F2 too..
