[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 127303] New: FILESAVE takes longer and longer with each save, including autosave events. Version 6.2.4.2
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=127303 Bug ID: 127303 Summary: FILESAVE takes longer and longer with each save, including autosave events. Version 6.2.4.2 Product: LibreOffice Version: 6.2.4.2 release Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64) OS: Windows (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Writer Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: groova...@yahoo.com Description: When very large document opened, filesave happens somewhat normally but with each additional save, including autosaves, the product goes into the "Not Responding" state for longer and longer periods apparently with no limit to how long it will stay in unresponsive state. Have chopped the document into 2~3 pieces and the result is the same for each piece. It can take 15 minutes or longer to save. The progress bar always completes quickly but the "Not Responding" state always gets longer and longer. The filesave is apparently not complete until the product comes out of "Not Responding" as I verified by terminating the session with task manager during the process. I can restart the program and the filesave starts out ALMOST normally and the problem of course repeats. It does not matter whether some fonts are not installed or not, the behavior is the same whether or not all the needed fonts are installed. This issue is the same on two machines being employed, both machines exhibit the issue. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Load the document at this link: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1j0paDC_KnTWpC7brI7B5cVtOEmHLRCSi 2. make small changes and save numerous times. Do not be concerned that all the fonts are not installed, issue will occur whether or not they are installed. But if wanting the additional fonts they are here: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1H3_t1ugobDKa3KGRZLayB07CwOCgHV5D 3. Notice the save times getting successively longer and longer Actual Results: Excessive save times Expected Results: Normal, reasonable save time Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: Yes OpenGL enabled: Yes Additional Info: -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

Some rough questions: - Done only by context menu at style sidebar items like 'Hide'? - Done with a new UI as suggested in bug 127243 with checkbox-like multiselection? (An older discussion about custom font list comes into my mind) - Custom styles group in flat and/or hierarchical view? - How useful is this as the setting is saved in the user profile but not in the file itself? - What will be shown if the user is opening another file without such custom styles group? The reason might be, that the layer-set has got wrong 'visible' information. Please make a copy of the file and change the file name extension to .zip. Open the package and examine the sub-file style.xml. Open it in an editor and look for "draw:layer-set". There you will find five times "draw:layer". Has any of them a property "draw:display"? There should not be such property for a presentation document. Export to pptx would indeed fix such problem, because that is a different file format, which does not know anything about "layer". And reimport would generate the default set. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=127286 Regina Henschel changed: What|Removed |Added CC||rb.hensc...@t-online.de --- Comment #1 from Regina Henschel --- The name input box is unsuitable for that purpose, because its value is automatically filled from an internal property. The user only needs this information as long as he is inexperienced with the tool "Layer". I don't know, how much space is at the right side of the check boxes, if the labels are in other languages. There is enough space inside the 'description' field. But I don't know, if there is a good way to indicate, that the user can deleted such text to put his own text into the field. Perhaps our design team has some ideas, whether it is possible to provide such help inside the dialog. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=127301 Bug ID: 127301 Summary: FILESAVE XLSX Adjusting autofilter range creates extra name range Product: LibreOffice Version: 4.4.0.3 release Hardware: All OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Calc Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: ba...@caesar.elte.hu Blocks: 103512, 127300 Created attachment 153823 --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=153823=edit Sample ODF with an autofilter set - Create a simple two-column spreadsheet, and add an autofilter to it (sample ODS attached). - Save as XLSX, and reload. - Select only the data in one of the columns (eg. A1-A4 in the sample), and click Autofilter. This adjusts autofilter, and only keeps it on the selected part. - Save as XLSX, and reload. => Both columns have autofilter in Calc (in Excel only one has, as expected). Open Sheet -> Named Ranges and Expressions -> Manage... It shows two names, for both the original and redefined ranges: - _xlnm.FilterDatabase - _xlnm.FilterDatabase_0 It should only show one range (ultimately it shouldn't show any, as _xlnm.FilterDatabase is a special named range for this purpose, and not for users to change, but that's a different issue). Excel's Name Manager also shows one entry, while it should show none. Observed using LO 6.4.0.0.alpha0+ (0fb2927a8fe06e6c3255544b8e4c4c9c0f5a67d3) & 4.4.0.3 / Windows 7. For details see ECMA-376-1 18.2.5. There are somewhat similar XLS equivalents, not listing those here. In Calc these tend to show in Manage Names dialog (Sheet -> Named Ranges and Expressions -> Manage...), but as they have specific purposes, and can be set in different places, they shouldn't really be listed there. They also tend to be exported in multiples if a defined range is changed, which shouldn't happen. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 127299] New: base crashes if like query has blank in parameter
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=127299 Bug ID: 127299 Summary: base crashes if like query has blank in parameter Product: LibreOffice Version: 6.3.0.4 release Hardware: x86 (IA32) OS: Windows (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Base Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: cwayneda...@gmail.com Description: I'm getting a crash whenever the parameter to a query has a space in it. A simplified version of the query is: SELECT * FROM "My_Table" WHERE ( UPPER ( "Title" ) LIKE UPPER ( '%' || ? || '%' ) ) This works fine if the parameter has no spaces but with spaces there's about a 45 second hang followed by a crash. I looked for debug log options but couldn't find any. Also couldn't see the crash report when I chose to send one. Also couldn't append any info to the crash report so doubt that it's useful to developers without knowing what triggered the crash. The Windows application log just showed that soffice.bin crashed. The table is very simple, one key integer ID field with autovalues and 6 varchar text fields. There are currently only 540 records in the table. The "Title" field used in the simplified query has no null entries and no non ascii characters that I know of. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Use any test table with a varchar field (not verified against any other table). 2. Create query similar to "SELECT * FROM "My_Table" WHERE ( UPPER ( "Title" ) LIKE UPPER ( '%' || ? || '%' ) )" where "Title" field is varchar. 2. Run query, entering parameter with spaces, ex. "xxx yyy" without the quotes. Bug will not happen if parameter is in quotes or if blanks are replaced with _. Actual Results: Do it. Expected Results: ~45 second freeze followed by crash. Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: Yes Additional Info: Returned query results. But LO crashes when any (!) odt document is open and I change UI to "in registers", "in registers compact", "in groups compact" or "depending on context compact". After a restart of LO 6.4.0.0 LO crashes when I try to open any odt document. Therefore I make more precise the bug description. ods documments are not affected by the problem. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
