https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=127393

Summary: horizontal line chart label needs space on both ends
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.3.0.4 release
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Impress

In MSO, it leaves a little space both ends of the horizontal line, and it looks

Dear Oliver Brinzing,

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today,
LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed
bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this
bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the
details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in
getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice
from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 127385] New: Docs for html meta tags describe non-existent File->Properties->"User Defined" tab

2019-09-05 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=127385

Bug ID: 127385
Summary: Docs for html meta tags describe non-existent
File->Properties->"User Defined" tab
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.4.0.0.alpha0+ Master
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: jim.av...@gmail.com

Description:
The Help text for Export as HTML
(file://...opt/libreofficedev6.4/help/en-US/text/shared/01/about_meta_tags.html?DbPAR=SHARED#bm_id3154380
on my system) says the following:

"To set the properties of the current document, choose File - Properties, click
the Description or User Defined tabs, and then type the information you want."

However, File->Properties does not have a "User Defined" tab.

P.S. What I really want is to know how insert a "viewport" meta tag into the
result of Export-to-HTML. See
https://developers.google.com/web/fundamentals/design-and-ux/responsive/?hl=en
I tried the 'Custom Properties' tab, creating an item with Name=viewport
Type=Text and Value=width=device-width, initial-scale=1 but it die not appear
in the output when exporting to html.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Help->LibreOffice Help
2. Type "meta" into the search box, then click "META tags" in the GLOBAL search
results list which appears immediately
3. Follow the instructions to (try to) define a meta tag

Actual Results:
You can't because the instructions refer to a non-existent tab.

Expected Results:
Document how to define a META tag which will end up in the output of
export-to-html.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

 CC||rb.hensc...@t-online.de

I have used the attachment of the duplicate bug 127364 for some investigations:

The problem is related to the length of the line. For example 18cm shows the
error, but 17.9cm and 18.1 cm are OK.

During opening, the method SdrPathObj::NbcSetSnapRect() [svdopath.cxx#2379] is
called. With the 18cm line length the rectangle aOld is LT[4530,53] and
RB[4530,10257], and rRect is LT[4530,53] and RB[4531,10258]. So that later
nDivY != nMulY and therefor not forced to 1.
The following call of SdrPathObj::NbcResize then calculates for fResizeY a
value different from 1.0. That results in a call of SdrTextObj::NbsResize
[svdptxtr.cxx#106] and then a call of Poly2Rect from svdtrans.cxx#486 in turn.
And there the bad rotation happens.

Whereas in case of 18.1cm the rectangle aOld is LT[4530,53] and RB[453010314],
and rRect is LT[4530,53] and RB[4513,10314]. So in this case nDivY == nMultY
and therefor forced to 1. The following call of SdrPathObj::NbcResize then
calculates both fResizeX and fResizeY as 1.0 and aborts. The method has an hint
to bug 106792 in its comment, why the abort is necessary.

(For further investigation it is too late in the night for me.)

Hi Xisco,

I can confirm it's fixed in this version. I also had to create a new database
file (.odb). Apparently, .odb files created with older versions (say 2.6) of
LibreOffice aren't compatible with recent versions of it.

Problem resolved!

never working dialog

For a macro, a comprehensive dialog was created with the dialog editor. (See
attachement)
This worked until LO 6.2.5.2.
With an update to 6.3.0.2, this dialog causes crashes of LO. After starting the
associated macro, as when calling up the dialog in the dialog editor.

After a downgrade to LO 6.2.5.2, the dialog will work as usual.
Trying to import the dialog on another computer with LO 6.3.0.4 also caused
crashes. The dialog will not be installed either.
Importing / exporting the dialog to LO 6.2.5.2 works fine.

I now have to assume that there were changes to LO 6.3 in dialogues that
prevent the use of older dialogs.

If it not a bug, I would adapt the dialog to LO 6.3, if necessary with an xml
editor. But for this I lack information, what changed at the dialog editor/
xml-format.

About help and hints I would be very happy.

Created attachment 153938

exported HTML file without frames

An Impress presentation can be exported as an HTML file via Export, selecting
HTML as file format. Then you have the choice to use the standard HTML format
without or with frames. The described problem occurs with HTML files (or
better: directories, for there are many files created) newly created with the
stated versions of LibO. I have no example of an HTML file created with an
older version of LibO, but I anyway suppose that the cause for the problem is
the creation process.
While the format without frames still works correctly, the format with frames,
which did work in 6.0, does not produce a directory which works: the starting
page looks correct, starting the presentation does work; but you cannot get to
the second page, neither using the link of the content in the left column nor
using the navigation button above. The button to return to the overview works,
though. If you switch off the display of the graphical buttons (using the
button at the right with a smaller and abigger A, which also works), then you
can arrive at the second page by clicking the appropriate text link; but when
you switch back to the display of graphical buttons, the first page is then
automatically displayed.
I tested the scenario in 6.2.4.2 and in 6.3.1.2, with the same result. For the
6.4 master I downloaded afew days ago the dialog steps for selecting the button
style and the colour scheme look distorted, especially the firstseems unusable,
so I cannot tell what really happens there; the resulkt in my test was a
version without graphical buttons.
Regarding the parameters I used for creating:
I changed the default for the following attributes:
- 2nd step: With frames, as I said above
- 4th step: checked "link to the original presentation"
- 5th step: selected first button style
- I cancelled "name for HTML design"
All this was formerly done in the same way for the 6.0 version, where it
worked.

I add attachments of the test presentation (which I used for the handbook
"First Steps") and the created HTML docs with and without frames. The HTML with
frames was produced using 6.3.1.2, but the result seems to be the same in 6.2.
The HTML without frames was created with 6.2.4.2, but as this worked and still
works, that will probably be irrelevant.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 127350] An improvement by adding a Calc File menu item 'Save and Close'.

2019-09-05 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=127350

Hi Roman. Thank you for your prompt attention to this. Yes, I am well aware of
the current process via 1/User:”Close”, 2/Libra:”Save?”, 3/User:”Save”,
4/Libra:(Save), 5/Libra:(Close).

This is a five step process, IE two by the user and three by Libra.

My suggestion is that the interface process would be enhanced by adding a File
Menu option to make this a three step process, IE 1/User:”Save and Close”,
2/Libra:(Save), Libra:(Close).

To be clear, I was not having a problem using Calc. I am instead offering a
suggestion that would make Calc, and all other similar File based apps, one
tiny bit better.

Of course, this may not be practical for Libra to enact, due to any number of
reasons. Unfortunate, but life is not always what we want.

confirm wrong behavior when we use right-click on hyperlink in the Calc cell.
We see hyperlink context menu instead cell context menu.
We can make cell wider and then right click on empty space in the cell and then
we'll see normal cell context menu

1. You can make that extension yourself and send it to our official extension
site
2. This Bugzilla isn't for extension requests
3. The idea is very strange, IMHO of course
