[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 137494] Cycle text selection per shortcut
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=137494 --- Comment #7 from Jim Raykowski --- I think this is a nice opportunity for some fun LO hacking indeed :-) Here are some code pointers: A user command for this will be needed. Perhaps .uno:CycleSelection or .uno:SelectionCycle? Feel free to chime in with a better command name. An example how to add a Writer user interface command is here: https://gerrit.libreoffice.org/c/core/+/91605 Details of how this works is here: https://wiki.openoffice.org/wiki/Framework/Article/Implementation_of_the_Dispatch_API_In_SFX2 Look here to do the implemention of the command: sw/source/uibase/uiview/view2.cxx void SwView::ExecuteSfxRequest ) The original cursor position, point and mark positions of the selection cycle, and selection cycle step number will be useful to store. A struct with a member variable assigned in the SwView class might work well for this purpose. Any selection(s) when the cycle is initiated should be cleared and word selection should be done from current cursor position. If point and/or mark positions are changed before the next selection cycle step the cycle step should return to word selection. The following functions will be of use to cycle selection thru word, sentence, and paragraph and to set the cursor to the original cursor position with no selection. sw/inc/crsrsh.hxx SwCursorShell::GetCursor_ SwCursorShell::SetCursor sw/inc/viscrs.hxx SwShellCursor::GetPtPos SwShellCursor::GetMkPos sw/source/uibase/inc/wrtsh.hxx SwWrtShell::IsSelection SwWrtShell::MoveCursor SwWrtShell::SelWrd SwWrtShell::SelSentence SwWrtShell::SelPara -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 137723] New: FORMATTING Wrong formatting of new cells after inserting a new column in a table of an Impress presentation
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=137723 Bug ID: 137723 Summary: FORMATTING Wrong formatting of new cells after inserting a new column in a table of an Impress presentation Product: LibreOffice Version: 7.0.0.3 release Hardware: All OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Impress Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: mp3848-9...@yahoo.com Description: After inserting a new column in a table in an Impress presentation, the formatting used for new cells differs from the one used in the cells that were created with the table. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Create a new Impress presentation. 2. Change slide layout to "Blank slide". 3. Insert a table. 4. (Optionally) Select all the cells. 5. (Optionally) Change formatting, for example, center the text in all cells. 6. Write some text (for example, "a") in all the cells of last two columns. 7. Select the last column. 8. Right click, select "Insert", then "Insert Column After". 9. Write something (for example, "a") in the newly inserted column. Actual Results: The text ends up written in a different style (probably the style of slide text since it is a bulleted list and has font "Liberation Serif", as opposed to "Liberation Sans" used in table by default). Expected Results: The text should have ended up written in the style in which the text of the rest of the table is written (more specifically, the style in which the text in the column next to the inserted one is written). Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: That does not seem to happen if there is no text in the table. Furthermore, it looks like the formatting is only corrupted for rows which had text. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 135668] [LOCALHELP] Writer: add info about submenu items for "Headings" context menu in Navigator
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=135668 --- Comment #15 from sdc.bla...@youmail.dk --- Created attachment 166684 --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=166684=edit proposal for Outline Content Visibility help in Navigator @Jim, etc. - will be grateful for your assessment of this attached proposal. A question: Am I wrong to believe that it is exhaustive (in relation to functionality)? A comment: Not all variations are listed within a heading - in the belief that less is more. That is, also adding "Hide All" for Headings seems to obscure the point. Similarly for giving "Show all" for the "level". The idea is that in explaining one, it will be easy to understand the other in context (and confusing to have to understand two variations, when learning for the first time). -- opinions? Comments about UI -- no need to answer here. 1. Given that you use "fold" to describe the operation, perhaps "Fold All" is better than "Hide All" ("fold" gives a better conceptual image from user POV). 2. For individual items, probably you have "state" information. So instead of "Toggle", why not give a state-dependent: "Fold" or "Open" ? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=70216 --- Comment #19 from QA Administrators --- Dear Ulrich Windl, To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today, LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed bugs which have not been touched for over a year. There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in getting confirmation that the bug is still present. If you have time, please do the following: Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/ If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. Please DO NOT Update the version field Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker) Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular meaning that is not appropriate in this case) If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a REGRESSION. To do so: 1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from https://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/ 2. Test your bug 3. Leave a comment with your results. 4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo'; 4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat: https://kiwiirc.com/nextclient/irc.freenode.net/#libreoffice-qa Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone! On Writer it is Format -> 'Page style' as it is linked to Paragraph style handling and other configuration of the entire ODF Text document On Calc it is Format -> Page (actually also page style), though one could argue to place it on the Sheet menu. https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=137712 --- Comment #3 from Telesto --- (In reply to V Stuart Foote from comment #2) > No, repositioning the Properties was done with the main menu reorganization. > A function of applicable scope. > > Page -> Properties > Slide -> Properties > > You'll note that on Impress applicable to the Slide object, on Draw it is > the Page object but that the layout is consistent (the Properties is not on > the Format menu) and controls the specific page or slide of the ODF document. > > On Writer it is Format -> 'Page style' as it is linked to Paragraph style > handling and other configuration of the entire ODF Text document > > On Calc it is Format -> Page (actually also page style), though one could > argue to place it on the Sheet menu. But like Writer it configures layout of > the entire Spreadsheet as a document. I think I made a mistake when looking at Impress. It's indeed the same compared to Draw. Maybe bad Lets downsize the scope and stick to 'naming'. Must it be 'Properties'. "Page Properties" and "Slide Properties" would be bit clearer. Yes, it's might be obvious. However keep in mind you 'don't add' Page or Slide before all of the items in the menu. So pretty inconsistent. And doesn't affect the size of the menu. And not saying harm done by a possible repeat. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
