[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 143983] Table alignment 'Left' becomes 'From left' on DOCX/RTF export (not with DOC)
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=143983 Justin L changed: What|Removed |Added CC||jl...@mail.com See Also||https://bugs.documentfounda ||tion.org/show_bug.cgi?id=11 ||9760, ||https://bugs.documentfounda ||tion.org/show_bug.cgi?id=13 ||5672 Version|7.3.0.0 alpha0+ Master |Inherited From OOo --- Comment #3 from Justin L --- I assume this has to do with differences in how borders are calculated. I know there are differences on whether borders start before the margin or after the margin. (See bug 119760 for how ridiculous this is.) In any case, (without actually looking into the issue but just going from memory) this is just emulation in order to get things to look right. Unless there are placement problems, I would consider this to be not a bug. Why was this not bibisected before reporting as an issue? (Already in bibisect-43all, assuming inherited from OOo.) Since the distance "from left" is zero in this case, I guess it could be converted to a LEFT instead in this particular case, although I don't know why that would be valuable. AFAIK, those two situations are equivalent. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 144879] Minor wording corrections
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=144879 --- Comment #5 from Adolfo Jayme --- On “Application Colors”, that name was suggested in bug 95155, and I wouldn’t change it again. I think the better fix is to merge that page with “View” — there’s no reason to have them separate (or away from each other in the tree) when they’re both related to the programs’ appearance. On “Locale Setting”, I agree that the last word there is unnecessary. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

PositionX, and click into another field: the Save icon will change state. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 136811] Allow direct cross-references to IMAGES
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=136811 Gabriele Ponzo changed: What|Removed |Added CC||gpo...@gmail.com --- Comment #5 from Gabriele Ponzo --- I was looking for something slightly different, but it could be probably "merged" into this enhancement. Writing manuals, it often happens to insert repetitive images, such as CAUTION or WARNING ISO signs, and others. It would be useful to set them as Cross Reference, in order to recall them (meaning the whole image, usually anchored as character) all the times. The difference respect to inserting the same image every time, is that you (or the client) may change your (his) mind: having such a feature, you just have to change the first occurrence of the image (the one which SETs the Xref) and all the other in the whole manual would change accordingly! Moreover, I hope and guess that LO is so smart to not embed n times the same picture, if and when it's repeated, but making it as a Xref would probably optimize that too (if needed ;). However it seems this way of inputting would delete/overwrite the existing comments for the selected cells. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open attached sample file. It has three non-empty cells, A1 to A3, all having comments attached; 2. (Optional) Click on cell A1, type some text to change the cell content, press Enter key. The cell content is replaced, the comment stays intact; 3. Use mouse to select all three cells A1 to A3. Depending on how one selects the range, the "active" cell for editing may be A1 or A3, it doesn't matter. Now type some text, it should change the content of the active cell. Press Alt+Enter, all three cells now have the new text, but the comments attached to them are all gone. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 140258] Spell-check used to spot two blank spaces where I intended one, but it no longer spots them.
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=140258 --- Comment #5 from Marie Z --- I tried to reproduce this bug in version 7.2.1.2 Extra spaces are correctly found in English sentences. Not in any other language. I attached languages_sample.odt file containing four languages - I chose the correct language for each paragraph and added typos in each paragraph to show that the spellcheck for each language is working, but extra spaces are not checked. Only the English text is checked for extra spaces. See also attached screenshot of the document. Steps to Reproduce: Create new file in Writer. Write a sentence in any language other then English, add extra space between any two words of the sentence. For example Spanish sentence: Mi nombre es Juan. If the language is not recognized, set the proofing language in Tools -> Language -> For All Text -> Spanish(Spain) Or alternatively just open the attached document and see the issue in Czech, Spanish and French. Expected results: Extra spaces should be underlined with wavy blue line. Actual results: Extra spaces are ignored. This is more a feature request then a bug report as tools for checking word spacing are apparently available only for English - judging from the settings in Tools -> Options -> Language Settings -> English Sentence Checking These settings don't influence the checking in any other language. When I tried opening the attached document in MS Word the spellchecker found the first extra space in each of the sentences regardless of the proofing language. I would expect Writer to do the same as LibreOffice is intended for professional use. Checking the typographic errors only for English lowers the quality significantly for users from non-english speaking countries. Extra spaces are easily overlooked and the document will not have a professional quality. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 144889] SUMIFS
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=144889 --- Comment #3 from Mike Kaganski --- In addition to comment 2: Ref: relevant help page https://help.libreoffice.org/latest/en-US/text/scalc/01/func_sumifs.html?DbPAR=CALC > The logical relation between criteria can be defined as logical AND > (conjunction). > In other words, if and only if all given criteria are met, a value from the > corresponding cell of the given Func_Range is taken into calculation. There you may also find something to resolve your "additional" confusion: > Regex expressions should be like any other software, "*" alone doesn't mean > anything, it should have something before it, for example: > .* > a* > [1-9]* > etc What you see are *not* "regular expressions".
