Did you do the original steps from the description? I still reproduce with all
Linux VCL backends. Note that in step 4 you need to click the text, not the
empty part of the cell.

Dear FD,

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today,
LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed
bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this
bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the
details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in
getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice
from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information
from Help - About LibreOffice.

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to
RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help
- About LibreOffice.

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular
meaning that is not
appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a
REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your
bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from
https://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat:

Sure, Rafael, and it is not difficult. Now that I think about it again, I guess
we would have to sacrifice the avoidance of repetition that setupModules JS
function provides and include the module links in every generated HTML page. I
assume this is the only way we can localise the text "All". Or should we inject
the help2.js JavaScript into XSLT and provide localisation through it for this
single string?

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 123318] Problems with new help's "Search in chosen module" function

2022-01-07 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=123318

Entering the main page in LO 7.4 leads to:
https://help.libreoffice.org/7.4/en-US/text/shared/05/new_help.html?=WRITER=UNIX

Which is by default formatted as a Writer help page, but the search box says
"Search in all modules".

Up until LO 7.2 this box indeed searched all modules by default. However, since
commit [1] search results only show the current module and Global results
(instead of all modules). This commit is effective since LO 7.3.

[1] 8b955ca1d2fa8132a22be12daeb416618277905c
(https://gerrit.libreoffice.org/c/help/+/122903)

To search a different module (7.3 and onwards) the user has to manually switch
to it using the "Modules" drop-down list.

I could not find any way to effectively search in all modules. I believe we
need an easier way to switch between "Search in all modules" and "Search in
module XXX".

My suggestion is:
1) Create an option in the Modules list named "All modules"
2) Make this the default option when the user arrives from the generic help
page https://help.libreoffice.org

I added lots of file locally to try to implement it and this method
dbaui::OTableController::isAlterAllowed (this=0x3b0) at
dbaccess/source/ui/tabledesign/TableController.cxx:1385
1385bool bAllowed(!m_xTable.is() ||
Reference(m_xTable,UNO_QUERY).is())

I runned make connectivity.clean && make && make postprocess + reset profile,
this method still returns false.

I must have missed something but don't know for the moment.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 146647] New: [UI] Reword for Match in the Find and Replace dialog

2022-01-07 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=146647

Bug ID: 146647
Summary: [UI] Reword for Match in the Find and Replace dialog
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: unspecified
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Calc
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: iavs.le...@gmail.com

Starting with the confusion of another LibreOffice user,¹ I think that the
second line of the Find and Replace dialog can be reworded:

Actual Results:
[] Match case [] Formatted display [] Entire cells [] All sheets

Expected Results:
Match: [] Case [] Formatted display [] Entire cells [] In all sheets

Since English is not my first language, someone could propose better rewording.

Do not know in which version this appeared, so selected Unspecified.

My actual version: 7.1.8.1.

I just reloaded Libre Office on my new computer.

In Calc only I no longer see recent files. If I click on the file tab I don't
even see the "recent files".

In the toolbar, I see the image (clock) but not the files.

In text documents, no problem. I uninstalled and re-installed Libre Office but
with the same results.

I opened an old Calc file which was saved on my old computer but still have the
same problem.

Note that Firefox 95.0.2 (64-bit) (updated today) still sets the RO attribute
to the files stored to %TEMP% when choosing "Open with". Try e.g with
attachment 177347. OTOH, MS Office does not mark files from %TEMP% as RO,
unless they already have that filesystem attribute - try opening an attachment
from current Thunderbird in Word.

So maybe really not a LO issue.

See also bug 125093; *maybe* TB could at least mark attachments as received
from Internet, if they don't like RO.

Possible solutions IMO:

1) Add a third button to the dialog "Visit Download Page" that would directly
link to:
https://www.libreoffice.org/download/download/

In this case, the code pointer is:
/core/sfx2/uiconfig/ui/helpmanual.ui

2) Create a new help page for "Installing Offline Help" or maybe simply create
a new section in the main page:
https://help.libreoffice.org/7.2/en-US/text/shared/05/new_help.html

3) Do nothing, because the dialog already states that "You may either install
it from our website..."

All of them are possible and quite simple to implement. I just do not know
which of these (if any) would offer better user experience.

I just happened to have this lying around on another identical computer
Version: 7.4.0.0.alpha0+ (x64) / LibreOffice Community
Build ID: 1bb0e177124d5d6661b72df6c7d848fb23639652
CPU threads: 4; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 19044; UI render: Skia/Raster; VCL: win
Locale: en-US (en_SE); UI: en-US
Calc: threaded

So, going two better I couldn't reproduce the crash in this one with four
significant attempts at destruction.

My other reports identified that the crash appeared to be triggered by
inserting rows into arrays with conditional formatting - which was a mess.

It would replicate blocks of the conditional formatting with some overlaps and
some gaps.

7.4 appears to have remedied that particular feature and it looks like a side
benefit is "No More Crashes"

I shall reset to UNCONFIRMED and let one of the big boys change it to RESOLVED

This issue is still present in LibreOfficeDev 7.4.0.0. The connector type
(standard, line, straight, curved) should be saved as any other property, not
just a direct style to be redefined at each session.

The issue Milan Oparnica is writing about is a separate bug (bug #65940: Arrow
styles set to "none" are not saved). I edited the report title to make it more
precise.

As I mentioned in connected bug report, I think this is and should stay
Thunderbird (Mozilla) issue.

Before version 91.4 when you opened attachment inside Thunderbird, it saved
file to C:\Users\Username\AppData\Local\Temp and set Read-only attribute to
that file, and then opened it with designated application (in this case
LibreOffice).

After TB 91.4 (by bug or intention I'm not sure), Thunderbird no longer sets
Read-only attribute after saving it in Temp folder.

It's my opinion that this is best left for Mozilla to fix or not fix, depending
if this is bug or feature.

Would it be possible you attach a test file and a minimum step by step
procedure to reproduce this?

Also, could you give a try to 7.2.4 ?

sample Libreoffice odb that allows to see the missing functionality

A (sub)form with a table and additional sub forms with text fields reloads nice
when reloaded through a button attached to the form.
However, when calling the reload method of this form through the .reload()
method of the macro the text fields are not reloaded.
See testdb.odb attached, activate the macro embedded, and load the
"Einzahlungen" form. Select n2, v2 (or another entry) in the dropdown list
below "Übersicht". Note the table changing content (done by by calling the
reload() method of the "Anzeigetafel" form (a subform to "Main Form"), and note
the content of the sum fields right to the "Laden" button change the content
only when tis button is pressed (button calls reload form of the Anzeigetafel
form)

Expected behaviour: reload() by macro and by button act identically.

ODF supports the transform of the draw:frame for rotation we ought to implement
frame rotation in the LO UI as it would offer a lot of function that is now
missing.

Otherwise agree with Luke that the additional work for the draw:shape text
handling fields would be helpful, but I don't see them as conflicting.

As noted there is a tradeoff in OOXML -- ODF interoperability and an obligation
to alert to the loss of formatting when export save to non-native OOXML.

Bug ID: 146642
Summary: FILEOPEN: Detect that the file is in temp directory,
and mark it read-only
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 7.2.4.1 release
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: LibreOffice
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: amersdor...@argekultur.at

Description:
Opening Thunderbird attachments are no longer opened as read-only files, but
saved automatically in the Temp-Folder of Windows. This could mislead users
that they saved the file in the desired location.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open an ODS-/ODT-attachment in Thunderbird
2. File opens in Libreoffice
3. File is not marked as read-only, but automatically saved in temp-folder and
also marked as saved.

Actual Results:
File in Windows Temp Folder is not set read-only, but saved there.

Expected Results:
File in Windows Temp Folder should be set read-only.

Reproducible: Always

NO - NOT resolved. I am not referring to the ability to choose colours. I am
referring to the way that individual tabs run together when several are the
same colour. What is needed is a LINE BETWEEN them.

As I was saying: Developers think they know what users need. They don't. The
response I received ("resolved long ago") demonstrates this yet again.

The problem happens inside ExitProcess system call, when some code in DLL
unload functions attempts to access ImplSVData singleton, which at that time is
already destroyed by the statics destruction code called by CRT.

I am not sure if we really need to care about this secondary crash. Trying to
do something sane inside abnormal termination is IMO unrealistic, and actually
does not address any real problem besides some artifact only visible under
debugger - or does it?

Calc Print Preview after changing a buttons visibility on the toolbar

In Calc Print Preview the Scaling Factor control disappears when another
buttons visibility is changed in the context menu - Visible Buttons submenu.

1, Open a new Calc document.
2, Go to the Print Preview (not the Print dialog)
3, Right click on the Print Preview toolbar, in the Visible Buttons submenu
hide any of the buttons (except Scaling Factor)

Result: the Scaling Factor item disappears until the zoom is inside the Calc
window, but reappears after clicking into another window.

This happens only with GTK3 UI, not with gen/qt5/Windows.

Hallo,

My problem is that I have a Debian installation under UserLAnd-App
https://userland.tech/ on a smartphone with the aarch64 architectures. And I
can't find a website from where I can download aarch64 compatible *.deb
packages. Can someone possibly give me a source for such LibreOffice packages?
