https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=134882 --- Comment #15 from BogdanB --- I prefer variant 6. Reason: it is mentioning print ranges, so is very clear that you need to define print ranges, it has the new term "shrink", and also is very simple in the end. No more text to interpret. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 120006] Improvement of Document converter
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=120006 --- Comment #10 from Edmund Laugasson --- As https://sourceforge.net/projects/bulkconvertulo/ has MIT licence, its source code could be used also to take some hints how to solve it in LibreOffice Document Converter UI. I hope as existing software source code is already available, this could help developers to save time and take advantage from that already existing source code. LibreOffice shouldn't be targeted to tech savvy people, when we talking about bulk conversion of files. This especially happens in case of migration and then users are stuck as UI is not capable for proper conversion. Usually nobody novice LibreOffice users will not look into CLI to hack some parameters there Then it is no wonder, that gossip spreads, that free software needs "square brain" to hack CLI and forget GUI... This scares away most users and puts a lot of pressure on LibreOffice's popularity So, I truly encourage you, dear developers, consider to include CLI parameters into Document Converter UI! Be Force with you! Current feature request has been reported already more than 3 years ago. This would be one of the killer features, especially in case of migrating to LibreOffice. So, please help people migrate to LibreOffice and add CLI features into LibreOffice Document Converter GUI! Actually could not get working a bash script with line: soffice --headless --convert-to pdf *.* $input --outdir $output I defined variables between quotes as path contained spaces. input="$HOME/path with spaces/docx/" output="$HOME/path with spaces/pdf/" Only way I could convert: cd "$HOME/path with spaces/docx/" soffice --headless --convert-to pdf *.* mv *.pdf "$HOME/path with spaces/pdf/" So, improving also CLI version of converting would be really appreciated. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 146976] Writer Crashes After Opening A Large File
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=146976 Telesto changed: What|Removed |Added CC||tele...@surfxs.nl --- Comment #2 from Telesto --- Please attach some sample document, which does crash for you. I can be dependent on layout, even if it's plain text. So it's hard to reproduce from scratch you might sanitize the file https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/QA/Bugzilla/Sanitizing_Files_Before_Submission But well not sure how long it would take.. it's kind of slow to do :-( .* LibreOffice & OpenOffice aren't scanning the file, but reading it into memory? It's rendering the text, positioning footnotes, spell checking in the background.. but it takes far longer for larger files.. * Writer files, Calc files, Draw files, everything) are frozen while the scanning is taking place Well this a software architecture issue. It's not a nice thing though -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 146840] Zoom lost when window resized narrowly
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=146840 --- Comment #6 from cson...@halmai.hu --- While you are shrinking the window, sooner or later you will reach the point where you need to hide the zoom scale and the percentage value. At the width when this disappears now, most of the toolbar is also hidden, which means you cannot really use Writer at this size in the long run. There are a couple of options how to get some space when the window gets too narrow: - hide zoom scale and factor (current behaviour) - replace "Page 1 of 1" with "1/1", a tooltip still could show "Page 1 of 1" - replace "18 words, 171 characters" with "18c/171w", tooltip still could show "18 words, 171 characters" I wouldn't hide the page style, though. The view-related things also could be combined into a single icon, when space is needed. This icon could pop up a little dialog for the view icons, the zoom slider and the zoom factor. However, I agree with Heiko, I wouldn't bother with changing it because all the possible options are just semi-solutions. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
