[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 44219] Cairo subpixel rendering different in 3.5.0 beta2 vs earlier versions
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=44219 --- Comment #8 from Michael Meeks michael.me...@novell.com 2012-01-05 02:09:43 PST --- I'd echo Caolan's ask - we need to match what the system is doing; annoyingly my panel / pixel ordering is not the same as yours - so the text looks terrible anyhow. Do you see noticable false-coloring too ? If so perhaps your options are busted as well. It also appears that in the new no settings world the setting to tweak this has disappeared - most odd. It seems that gtk+ gets those from the settings: gtk/gtksettings.c- g_object_get (settings, gtk/gtksettings.c-gtk-xft-antialias, antialias, gtk/gtksettings.c-gtk-xft-hinting, hinting, gtk/gtksettings.c-gtk-xft-hintstyle, hint_style_str, gtk/gtksettings.c-gtk-xft-rgba, rgba_str, gtk/gtksettings.c-NULL); Which it seems come from various XSettings, which come from: gnome-settings-daemon/plugin/xsettings/gsd-settings-manager.c (xft-settings-get): order = g_settings_get_enum (manager-priv-plugin_settings, FONT_RGBA_ORDER_KEY); Where order is from dconf at: org/gnome/settings-daemon/plugins/xsettings/ #define FONT_RGBA_ORDER_KEY rgba-order Which can be tweaked in dconf-editor to any of the value of that enumeration provided: which may perhaps help (if you're running GNOME). Now - IIRC, Cor runs KDE - so ... perhaps this is also an issue; I wonder if gtk+ is relying on getting it's sub-pixel order from an XSetting that KDE is simply not providing - if so, it's rather a more problematic problem. But - as Caolan says - we can tell that from seeing a screenshot of gedit on the same desktop quite easily ;-) give us a full-screen screenshot as a straight attachment with gedit and LibreOffice side-by-side if you would :-) Thanks ! -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

You can assign a hyperlink to a cell using Insert-Hyperlink. So far, very good. However: 1. Calc provides no way to edit such a hyperlink. The only way to change an existing hyperlink is to insert a new one from scratch. 2. Calc's method for deleting a hyperlink leaves a lot to be desired. It can be done through the 'Clear direct formatting' command, which removes a lot else along with the hyperlink. It is also hardly an intuitive command to use when you want to achieve this. I would suggest that we need a Format-Hyperlink menu option. The dialog that would be displayed from this would allow the hyperlink to be edited, and would contain an option to delete the hyperlink. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

Word 2010 offers to recover the file content. If we let it do, most of the file content is recovered. After saving the recovered document in Word (still as OpenDocument format), the borders I had applied on titles and paragraphs are removed. If I reopen this recovered document in Word, it's no more considered as invalid, but the borders have disappeared. If I re-add the missing borders in Word and open again the document in LibO 3.4 or 3.5 or Word : the content is well displayed. This feature is thus managed by Word. If I save this document with LibO, Word considers it as invalid, but after a second recovery the borders are displayed in Word ! [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 44502] New: Improve Doxygen-generated SDK C++ documentation
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=44502 Bug #: 44502 Summary: Improve Doxygen-generated SDK C++ documentation Classification: Unclassified Product: LibreOffice Version: LibO Master Platform: Other OS/Version: All Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Libreoffice AssignedTo: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org ReportedBy: sberg...@redhat.com The LibreOffice UNO SDK contains HTML documentation for the C/C++ entities that make up the interface of the UNO runtime environment (reached from the sdk/index.html starting page via the C++ Reference link). This documentation is now extracted from the relevant headers (modules sal, salhelper, cppu, cppuhelper, store, registry) with Doxygen. In the past, it used to be extracted with LO's own tool autodoc, which however had serious shortcomings. Most of the documentation syntax is the same for Doxygen and autodoc, but there are some differences, and Doxygen additionally warns for some things that autodoc silently ignored, like a misspelled @param foo that does not match any actual parameter name. Running doxygen at odk/pack/gendocu thus produces a large number of warnings. Some of them have been cleaned up with the initial commit http://cgit.freedesktop.org/libreoffice/core/commit/?id=58ab12acf576a765ec47cc2753ba57643e51d653, but lots still need to be addressed. Additionally, the documentation could need some general clean up, anyway (e.g., consistency in using full stops or not at end of documentation phrases, add missing documentation, use proper markup). Third, the branding of the generated HTML uses the default Doxygen settings and thus looks rather different from what the old, autodoc-generated HTML (still there at http://api.libreoffice.org/docs/cpp/ref/index.html as of today). The odk/pack/gendocu/Doxyfile could probably benefit from some more tweaking. Type: Date / Select: Date / Format: Additional Formats... NOTE: Choose the not fixed Date format on the Select listbox Choose a format, like Friday, December 31, 1999. It will insert (today) Tuesday, January 3, 2012. That's OK... Now save the document on .doc format (Microsoft Word 97/2000/XP/2003). Close the program. Open the document again. It will appear Tuesday, , January 3, 2012. Ops! Another comma. Make some changes on the document, save again, close, open again. Another comma. If you try to insert a field with a non-english language, it will change the language to english in some cases. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 44511] New: EDITING: AutoText - segfault when delete/rename action applied while group selected.
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=44511 Bug #: 44511 Summary: EDITING: AutoText - segfault when delete/rename action applied while group selected. Classification: Unclassified Product: LibreOffice Version: LibO Master Platform: All OS/Version: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Writer AssignedTo: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org ReportedBy: c...@sowden.org Created attachment 55193 -- https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=55193 Patch to fix bug Summary --- In the Edit - AutoText dialog, if an entry is selected and then a group selected the delete/rename/etc actions are still shown in the AutoText button menu when they should not be. These actions are only applicable to entries and if a user attempts to apply these actions while a group is selected the list box becomes corrupted and leads to a segfault (the code for these actions assumes the selected entry has a parent in the listbox). Exists in MASTER and 3.4.4 (Fedora distro build). Steps to reproduce -- * Edit - AutoText * Create a new group (i.e. with the Categories button) and add a new entry under this group (select some text in the main doc, Edit - AutoText, enter a name in the Name field, select the newly created group, click AutoText - New). * Select the newly created entry in the list box and then select the group name. * Click the AutoText button and the Copy/Replace/Rename/etc actions are incorrectly shown. * For example, click Rename and enter a new name. * The entry is now incorrectly added as a top-level group in the list box. * Keep clicking the different group names for 10 sec - segfault. Patch - Attached is a patch that ensures the Copy/Replace/Rename/etc actions are not shown in the AutoText menu when a group is selected. I believe this is the correct behaviour and is what happens when you first open the Edit - AutoText dialog i.e. before you actually select an entry. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 43911] FILEOPEN problem: trying to import big csv file leads to maximum number of rows exceeded after 1000 imported rows
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=43911 --- Comment #9 from markus.mohrh...@googlemail.com 2012-01-05 14:21:03 PST --- I think the quick fix of this problem is to increase the Max Column Limit during CSV import. It seems that the limit is 1024 now. More practical limit would be 8192 or even better 65536. No. We won't increase the column limit soon. First we would need to rework all internal cell datastructures like I did for sheets in 3.5. We still use fixed size containers for columns. That means that increasing the column limit will increase the the memory needed for every sheet extremelly. The column limit of 1024 is a design decision by us. If you are really in need for LibO with a bigger column limit you can easily build one yourself and I tell you the line you need to change to increase the limit. This bug report is about the wrong error message and not about the the column limit of 1024 in 3.4+, 256 till 3.3. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 43867] MAILMERGE: Mail Merge with ole object in header of document, causes crash. SfxObjectShell::GetEmbeddedObjectContainer
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=43867 --- Comment #14 from Ferry Toth ft...@telfort.nl 2012-01-05 14:53:26 PST --- @Caolán: I am confirming my problem happens under KDE and not Gnome. Just tested the following: -Under KDE switched from oxygen-gtk to Raleigh. In the past this solved certain troubles with Firefox and Evolution. In this case it does not help at all. -Installed gnome package and opened another x session (so keeping kwin as window manager) selected type as gnome. Sent test email merge, no crash. So for now this is a useful workaround. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 43911] FILEOPEN problem: trying to import big csv file leads to maximum number of rows exceeded after 1000 imported rows
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=43911 --- Comment #11 from cemyuc...@gmail.com 2012-01-05 15:07:48 UTC --- ... It seems that the limit is 1024 now. More practical limit would be 8192 or even better 65536. No. We won't increase the column limit soon. ... The column limit of 1024 is a design decision by us. This bug report is about the wrong error message and not about the the column limit of 1024 in 3.4+, 256 till 3.3. I understand and ack your technical comments. However, this bug report (which I opened) is about the data not being fully imported. At the beginning I thought it was a limit on the rows, but apparently it is a limit on the columns (possibly a wrong error message). Fact of the matter is, the main issue for me was that I had to open and edit the file using Microsoft Office, because libreoffice could not open the file correctly for further editing. Hi Markus, I also have found my way to this bug report only because I have a 1600+ column CSV file that I am trying to import into LibO. So, our hopes is to convince developers to increase the Max Column limit, or that they switch to a dynamic size column container approach in order to use necessary memory. Is it the final decision that the distributed official LibO version will have a Max Column limit of 1024 in the near future releases? And people like me will have to modify the Max Column limit and recompile/recreate a special LibO version for our needs?
