[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 61781] New: Error bars of charts created via cell range in Calc are lost after saving and reopening
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=61781 Priority: medium Bug ID: 61781 Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Summary: Error bars of charts created via cell range in Calc are lost after saving and reopening Severity: normal Classification: Unclassified OS: All Reporter: xiphosu...@gmail.com Hardware: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Version: 4.0.0.3 release Component: Chart Product: LibreOffice Created attachment 75882 -- https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=75882action=edit test doc saved with Y-error bars visible When error bars of charts are created via cell range in Calc, they disappear after saving, closing and reopening the ODS file. The attached ODS file contains Y-error bars created using Cell Range, and for Parameter I manually typed in D7:D8 since clicking on Select data range doesn't do anything (Bug 60253). The bars then became visible. I saved the ODS file, and at this point uploaded the attached ODS file. Now, when I close and open this file again, the error bars are no longer visible. And under Format y-error bars, in place of D7:D8, it shows as d7:sheet1.d8. I noticed that if I change the d7:sheet1.d8 to sheet1.d7:sheet1.d8, then after save/close/reopen the error bars are retained. Additionally, this bug is also probably the cause of the error bars (created using cell range) disappearing when copy and pasting the chart into Writer, Impress, Draw. If the sheet name is manually specified as described above, then error bars don't disappear after copy/paste into Writer, Impress, Draw. However, the error bar values erroneously change into the Y-values, which is probably Bug 52159. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 46310] FILEOPEN: Annoying Should LibO repair file? - File could not be repaired dialog window loop
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=46310 --- Comment #10 from Adrian Hesketh adrianhesk...@hushmail.com --- I've also found this defect in LibreOffice 4.0.0.3 on Windows 8. FILEOPEN - Opening a corrupt file and then selecting No to the repair dialog results in an infinite loop unless you accept that LibreOffice should repair the file. Reproduction 1. Create a Word 2007 file, e.g. MyFile.docx 2. Rename it to MyFile.doc 3. Open it using LibreOffice from Windows Explorer (in my case by double-clicking on the file). 4. A dialog is displayed with text The file 'MyFile.doc' is corrupt and therefore cannot be opened. LibreOffice can try to repair the file. 4a. The final sentence states Should LibreOffice attempt to repair the file? 4b. Options are Yes and No. 5. Clicking the No button displays dialog The file 'thebigword.doc' could not be repaired and therefore cannot be opened. with an OK button. 6. Clicking the OK button results in the dialog at step 4. This means that the user is presented with the same option until the user terminates LibreOffice using Task Manager or chooses to repair the file. The desired behaviour should be that selecting OK from the dialog at step 5 should exit the program. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

I was probing around the LO options to find how to change the ruler units, and when I came across the integrated Java in LO, I disabled it. I removed all Java from my computer a few months ago due to too many vulnerabilities and instability issues popping up all the time. I didn't realize LO had Java integrated. Disabling Java in LO fixed the problem. The Send menu shows up correctly now. As for the tests, renaming the profile directory did NOT help. Trying it on a new odt file did NOT help. As for the backtrace, running soffice --backtrace never really started soffice up. So instead, I used gdb on soffice.bin . The results are in the attachment strace_gdb.log . https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=61791 Priority: medium Bug ID: 61791 Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Summary: FORMATTING: Negative Numbers Severity: normal Classification: Unclassified OS: Windows (All) Reporter: dhh1...@hotmail.com Hardware: Other Whiteboard: BSA Status: UNCONFIRMED Version: 4.0.0.3 release Component: Spreadsheet Product: LibreOffice I am using LibreOffice 4.0.0.3 and have just noticed a problem with my existing spreadsheets. The cells are formatted to show negative numbers in RED, and on entering numerical data, either directly or via a formula, all negative numbers do appear in red – exactly as they should do. HOWEVER, if the file is saved, then upon re-opening the file, the negative numbers now revert to the normal BLACK colour. But, if a NEW spreadsheet is created and numerical data entered after formatting the cells to show negative numbers in red, it does appear to work slightly better. Negative numbers entered directly stay red, even after saving, closing and re-opening, but negative numbers derived from a calculation still revert to BLACK after saving, re-opening etc. etc. At least, this has been my experience to date. I do not know if this problem has only just occurred with this latest version of LibreOffice, but I have only just noticed it, and I have to say it is most irritating – as it can be very misleading when both positive and negative numbers look alike, despite there being a small minus sign in front of the negative ones. I do hope this problem can be sorted out soon. This causes inability to mix texts from English and other languages, thus making Writer unusable for day to day use. reproduce-able text: Hello (עול)ם expected text: Hello (עול)ם as you can see, the parenthesis is misplaced in the first example. Todays LibreOffice's solution is to add LRM and RLM chars in the correct place, this is very unintuitive for 90% of the users. I think the BiDi algorithm should be enhanced, and place LRM/RLM automatically according to the current window's keyboard layout.
