When changes are tracked (Edit - Changes - Track) and changes are shown (Edit - Changes- Show) and a word is misspelt: (1) if you add a missing letter and by this the word becomes spelled correctly, the word loses the red marking of a misspelt word (which is great); (2) if you remove an excess letter and by this the word becomes spelled correctly, the word still keeps the red marking of a misspelt word (which is an error); Of course, if changes are not viewed, just tracked, in the second example the red marking is removed, as it should be. If you turn on the show of changes, the same corrected word gets underlined as misspelt. If you turn off the show of changes, the same word loses the red underline. I also found an exemption of this rule: if the excess letters are the first letters of a misspelt word, even if both options are on, upon removing those excess letters when both funcions are turned on - the red underline correctly vanishes. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 56076] FONTS SUBSTITUTION: no way to control glyph substitution if glyph is missing from font
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=56076 --- Comment #16 from Yury yury.tarasiev...@gmail.com --- (In reply to comment #15) (In reply to comment #8) There should be no glyph substitution at all: the text processor is not a web browser and should give to user precise control over the fonts and characters used. You are confusing word presossors which should just work (i.e. always give the user some readible text) with typesetting systems (some times called DTP), which should give the typsetter the finest control about the final output. There is 'no control' and there is 'the finest control', but I think many folks would settle for a little more control (than there is now) over the text appearance in LibO. The 'faces list' which is acceptable to HAVE in the ODF should have some EFFECT as well. Why's the bug title substitution not automated to take serifed glyphs for the serifed body font, at least? Why're the bitmapped fonts excluded from being UI font, BTW? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
