[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 68367] Problems with managing index entries
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=68367 --- Comment #1 from Ulrich Windl ulrich.wi...@rz.uni-regensburg.de --- I forgot one thing: The non-modal dialog to add index entries doesn't close when adding an entry, but it doesn't update properly: If you double-click (select) some word, then use the menu to open the index entry dialog, the current selection is suggested for addition. If you keep the dialog open and double-click (select) another word, the proposal in the dialog is not updated. Therefore it makes little sense to keep the dialog open after adding one entry. As another note, I found that bug 43530 (items 1 and 2) had reported similar issues than I did. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 39484] All Outline groups of sheet lost while editing
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=39484 --- Comment #74 from Michael Meeks michael.me...@novell.com --- Another interesting data-point is that this is exclusive to cut/paste, copy/paste doesn't suffer from the same issue; so back up to: bool ScViewFunc::PasteFromClip( sal_uInt16 nFlags, ScDocument* pClipDoc, The more I read this the more I marvel at what is going on - it looks rather fragile. It appears that the code wants to preserve formulae on ~all sheets so we can undo the effects of cut/paste. Unfortunately, the CopyToDocument method has two modes of operation: one where every tab is present (when it really copies the range you pass), and another when tabs are not present (when it only copies to existing tabs). First we try to CopyToDocument with a limited set of (the selected) tabs - to just copy that data for undo; so we only copy the outline data for sheets that are active. // all sheets - CopyToDocument skips those that don't exist in pUndoDoc SCTAB nTabCount = pDoc-GetTableCount(); +if ( bCutMode ) +{ +// fdo#39484 - needs to be done before the CopyToDocument to preserve +// outline other data on sheets that we're not viewing. +pUndoDoc-AddUndoTab( 0, nTabCount-1 ); +} fixes that; but of course it then starts to copy far too much. Then unfortunately, we do another copy into the pUndoDoc here: pRefUndoDoc-CopyToDocument( 0,0,0, MAXCOL,MAXROW,nTabCount-1, IDF_FORMULA, false, pUndoDoc ); Which is presumably intended to preserve formulae, however this was again not constructed for all tabs, so it now overwrites the outline data with NULL dummy data. So ... it seems that the basic problem here is a mis-understanding of how CopyToDocument interacts with outlining. We pass the IDF_FORMULA flag, but the code then operates on far more than just formulae. Having fiddled a fair bit here; I think the best sol'n is to add an IDF_OUTLINE - or IDF_NOOUTLINE bit to add in there, to allow the IDF_FORMULA mask to only mutate formulae. Or worse - add some IDF_FORMULAONLY - which would suck ;-) I'll try to come up with something pleasant. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 67899] MS Word can't export to PDF a .doc file with a pasted shape from LibO Draw
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=67899 --- Comment #14 from Reinhard Weber reinhard.we...@a1telekom.at --- (In reply to comment #13) thanks 4 the attached files. they will help a lot. unfortunately I don't have MS Word to test so I ask help from other QA guys. modified the summary notes to make clearer that the PDF export has to be done with MS Word just some final questions for you (please reply, feedback is important): 1- which Apache OO version did you use? 2- have you tried exporting to PDF with Word an .odt file with a Draw shape? is there still different behaviour between AOO and LibO? 3- why not opening the original .doc file with LibO Writer instead of MS Word? I suppose you know that LibO can read and save .doc files as well. Again, see Comment 3, I don't understand why using Word instead of Writer to open a file just to paste elements from Draw... you could do the whole thing with just one software. changing status to UNCONFIRMED again. when the bug will be independently reproduced by another user status can be changed to NEW which means the bug is confirmed. My last satement to clarify this issue: I've to write my thesis based on a Microsoft Word template. Writer cannot be used for this need, because it doesn't handle the styles correctly (but this isn't part of this ticket). My drawings are all done with Libre Office Draw. These drawings are copied from a Libre Office Draw document ([CTRL] + [C]) into Word ([CTRL] + [V]. After that, it isn't possible to save the Word dokument as a PDF or XSP with the original build in Microsoft export feature. When I open the same Draw ODG file with Apache Open Office 4.0.0 and copy the same sketch from the ODG file to the Word document it IS possible to save the Word document as PDF os XSP ... This proofs, that there is a difference of handling enhanced meta files between Libre Office Draw and Apache Office Draw because using Apache the build in feature of Word to export the document as PDF (or XSP) still works ... -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
