Worksforme on OS X 10.8.4 and LO 4.2 latest master and 4.1.1.2.

Since you write this problem occurs with the RC of 4.1.1.2, did you try the
actual release build? http://www.libreoffice.org/download/

Could you check if this works for you with the master build?

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 69085] New: FILESAVE: [Enhancement] – Key Buffer needed during File-Save process.

2013-09-08 Thread bugzilla-daemon

  Severity: normal
Classification: Unclassified
OS: Windows (All)
  Reporter: ipsozol...@gmail.com
  Hardware: Other
Whiteboard: BSA
Status: UNCONFIRMED
   Version: 4.1.1.2 rc
 Component: Writer
   Product: LibreOffice

Problem description: When saving a file, app locks, keystrokes are not
buffered/accepted. Waiting really sucks.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Open a document
2. Type this as fast as you can: Alt-File-Save, Alt-File-Close, Alt-File-Open,
“som” Enter, “pass” Enter.
3. Sit and wait for the file to save first before any additional keystrokes are
accepted.

Current behavior: delay before being able to enter keystrokes.

Expected behavior: program to accept buffered keystrokes and process catch up
as the machine can.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 69086] New: Export PNG saves to wrong resolution

2013-09-08 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=69086

  Priority: medium
Bug ID: 69086
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
Summary: Export PNG saves to wrong resolution
  Severity: major
Classification: Unclassified
OS: Linux (All)
  Reporter: de...@dkeats.com
  Hardware: Other
Status: UNCONFIRMED
   Version: unspecified
 Component: Drawing
   Product: LibreOffice

When you select the file size from the export dialogue in Draw, the file size
is ignored on save. This is a serious flaw for people like me who use Draw
every day and export to PNG for inclusion in documents.

STEPS TO REPLICATE:
1. Create a new file and add - say - some text to it.
2. From the file menu, select Export, then file type PNG from the popup
dialogue. Give it a name and save.
3. In the dialogue that appears next, choose width height. Make it big so you
can see, say 5000 Px wide.

RESULT:
In my example instead of saving it 500px wide, it saved it 841 px wide, which
is even less than the default that it is set to.

EXPECTED:
Is would save at the size and resolution I chose.

VERSION:
Version: 4.1.1.2
Build ID: 410m0(Build:2)
The same bug was in the previous version from the LO PPA.

 Hello again,
I removed the time-field from the view and consequently also the report and
everything works fine now. So, my conclusion is that the problem obviously
 lies with time-fields...

Could you open a new bug-description for the time-field. It would be good to
have an example or a step-by-step declaration. Best would be the bug appears
with a table, only content one timefield ...

file the crash happens

Problem description:
When opening an older document (created in 3.5) LO crashes with LibreOffice
Document recovery message.
This has been seen on one file only so far after upgrading from 3.5x to
4.0.4.2. I opened this file with the portable version 3.5 and there is no
crash.

I have also problems with not printing all hidden text in another document but
there I found a workaround by enabling all check boxes under TOOLS - OPTIONS -
LIBREOFFICEWRITER - FORMATTINGAIDS - DISPLAY OF (not only the three boxes
related to hidden). This behavior also exists in the portable version 3.5, so
maybe it is a corruption in that specific file or a mistake of mine during
editing.

I have the feeling that the crash is related to hidden text. When I delete the
frames with hidden text in 3.5 I can open the file in 4.x.

I run WinXP SP3, Microsoft office 2007 installed in parallel.
Did not have the chance to check this on another PC.

If you need more information let me know.
Thanks Regards Jan

1. open attached .odt in 4.0.4.2 and 3.5
2.
3.

I'm not a developer at all, but I know we changed to Python version 3.2 bundled
into LibreOffice. Please see
https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/ReleaseNotes/4.0#Python and link
http://python3porting.com/

I hope this is rather an answer to your question then a bug in LibreOffice?

Kind regards,
Joren

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 69050] Calc: Import CSV dates are no longer recognized

2013-09-08 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=69050

--- Comment #8 from Cor Nouws c...@nouenoff.nl ---
@tmacalp I can confirm that in 3.5.7 indeed the csv dates import with the
correct formatting without choosing a date patern for the column.
Do not need to choose En-GB as language.

But pls note that crxssi wrote I also tested various date formats in the
import file, ... didn't matter- none of them worked .
And since I always set the date pattern, I did not test in other versions.

Testdatabase with only a little table

Open the attached database. There is only one table with one row and two
columns.
Open also a new Calc-document.
Mark the table from the database and try to copy it by drag and drop to the
Calc-document. A symbol appears, that the data would be copied.
Since LO 3.5.0.beta0 this way of copying data doesn't work any more. A dialog
appears: No connection could be established.
Remember that copy and paste will work well.

One hint: With this version the path to the user-profile in Linux had been
changed to .config/libreoffice instead of .libreoffice. Don't know if this
could be a reason ...

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 69092] New: FILESAVE: odt to fodt xsl stylesheet error

2013-09-08 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=69092

  Priority: medium
Bug ID: 69092
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
Summary: FILESAVE: odt to fodt xsl stylesheet error
  Severity: normal
Classification: Unclassified
OS: Linux (All)
  Reporter: inp...@gmail.com
  Hardware: Other
Whiteboard: BSA
Status: UNCONFIRMED
   Version: 4.2.0.0.alpha0+ Master
 Component: Writer
   Product: LibreOffice

Readers,

An odt document was converted to the fodt format using the menu bar
'save as' option.

Why is the option fodt listed nearest to the bottom, after m$ (?!),
starwriter, text, html, aportisdoc ??? Native odf must be treated with
greater respect and higher priority! LO is not an m$ clone! (end of
complaint...)

After closure of the odt document (which was opened via the command
line, hence the ability to see the warning), the terminal reported the
following warning:

Warning: at xsl:stylesheet on line 2 of
file:///path/to/libreoffice/basis3.3/share/xslt/odfflatxml/odfflatxmlexport.xsl:
Running an XSLT 1.0 stylesheet with an XSLT 2.0 processor

The equivalent fodt document was then opened in the command terminal,
which reported the following (whilst the document remained open):

Warning: at xsl:stylesheet on line 2 of
file:///path/to/libreoffice/basis3.3/share/xslt/odfflatxml/odfflatxmlimport.xsl:
Running an XSLT 1.0 stylesheet with an XSLT 2.0 processor

How significant is this warning?

The stylesheet is as follows:

?xml version='1.0' encoding=UTF-8?
xsl:stylesheet version=1.0
xmlns:xsl=http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform;;
xsl:output method=xml encoding=UTF-8 indent=yes/

xsl:template match=@*|node()
xsl:copy
xsl:apply-templates select=@*|node()/
/xsl:copy
/xsl:template
/xsl:stylesheet

As root, the stylesheet was amended to change the version to '2.0' and
the fodt re-opened without the warning error.

Is this manual change likely to cause a problem with the intended use
of the fodt file, subversion document control?

  Severity: normal
Classification: Unclassified
OS: All

Take e.g.
http://api.libreoffice.org/docs/idl/ref/interfacecom_1_1sun_1_1star_1_1frame_1_1XTerminateListener2.html

Under Public Member Functions inherited from XTerminateListener, there is
e.g.
queryTermination
The queryTermination word is a link to
http://api.libreoffice.org/docs/idl/ref/interfacecom_1_1sun_1_1star_1_1frame_1_1XTerminateListener.html#a70b244d6dc5a5f95b9a315292de29d54

That's good and correct. However, the more word is a link to
http://api.libreoffice.org/docs/idl/ref/interfacecom_1_1sun_1_1star_1_1frame_1_1XTerminateListener2.html#a70b244d6dc5a5f95b9a315292de29d54
That's incorrect. It should be the same as the previous one; the more
information is at XTerminateListener.html (where the member function is
defined), not XTerminateListener2.html (where it is merely inherited).

2013-09-08 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=69095

  Priority: medium
Bug ID: 69095
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
Summary: FORMATTING: Some icon sets are not used for
conditional formatting
  Severity: normal
Classification: Unclassified
OS: Linux (All)
  Reporter: stephane.guil...@gmail.com
  Hardware: Other
Whiteboard: BSA
Status: UNCONFIRMED
   Version: 4.0.0.3 release
 Component: Spreadsheet
   Product: LibreOffice

Problem description:

Some icons from the conditional formatting icon collection are not used in the
options offered by the conditional formatting menu.

Steps to reproduce:

In LO 4.1, open document, open the menu Format Conditional formatting
Icon set (or for earlier versions, select Data bar and then change to Icon
set from the drop down menu).

Current behaviour:

Notice the three icon sets involving stars, squares or triangles are not
available, even though they are in the included icons:
https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/File:Cond-form-icons.svg

Expected behaviour:

Those sets are very useful, especially the stars, used for many rating
calculation spreadsheets. One would expect to see them available in the
conditional formatting menu.

Operating System: Ubuntu
Version: 4.0.0.3 release

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 69070] with_traceback is python 3.x only

2013-09-08 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=69070

Well think this is a packaging problem though.

On linux flavor, libreoffice is generally using the system python interpreter
and not the bundled one. On ubuntu (debian ?) you have python-openoffice that
depends on python3-uno or python-uno. The problem is that python-uno uses
python3 with_traceback.

Anyway I ported my python extension to python3 as it is the future and the
default for osx and windows. Extensions should be os agnostic, shouldn't they ?

Thanks for the reply.

@tmacalp I can confirm that in 3.5.7 indeed the csv dates import with the
correct formatting without choosing a date patern for the column.

Does that mean you now also confirm that it is broken in 4.1?

Hi,
It's a known issue with versions prior to 4.1, and I can confirm it with fonts
with a lot of OpenType lookups. However since LO switched to HarfBuzz in 4.1
(See https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/ReleaseNotes/4.1#Core), I can't
reproduce this problem anymore. So I'm closing this bug as RESOLVED WORKSFORME.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 69109] New: Editing: Hebrew character string causes (left to right) numerics to flip order to also be RTL

2013-09-08 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=69109

  Priority: medium
Bug ID: 69109
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
Summary: Editing: Hebrew character string causes (left to
right) numerics to flip order to also be RTL
  Severity: normal
Classification: Unclassified
OS: Windows (All)
  Reporter: braun...@yahoo.com
  Hardware: x86 (IA32)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
   Version: 4.1.2.1 rc
 Component: Writer
   Product: LibreOffice

Created attachment 85442
  -- https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=85442action=edit
Odt file which demonstrates the problem described.

יוד-הה-וו-ההI 1 2 3 4 5 6 Roman text

In this file (copied and pasted from writer and attached also), attempting to
delete the roman “I” next to the Hebrew text causes the numerics to change
style, and flip to the left of the Hebrew in right-to-left-order, in the same
way as the Hebrew convention. The font name of the numerics changes to “Mangal”
from Times-New-Roman. The roman text itself is preserved, If there is no text,
but spaces only, the spaces change to the new format until the end of the line,
or until the next alpha-character.

To note is that the language of the Hebrew and adjacent spaces, (excluding the
“I”) is “Hindi”, and refuses to change.

I have tried multiple tricks to try to enter numerical characters after
Hebrew-but this flipping and reformatting happens. Here I typed the numerics
after the Roman alpha “I”, which I cannot now delete without the effects above.

A similar style change occurs with Hebrew characters in Table of contents, with
an altered page number after the series of dotted fill characters.

I use the windows version of LibreOffice writer: 4.1.1.2

Hi. Sorry that patch got a bit lost... I've started working on this again.

(Changing the flat list into a tree-listbox is done, I just need to decide how
to best to store the categories for the transitions themselves and implement
their retrieval.)

Nice to see that there is again discussion on additional icon sets. I added bug

Hi Kees,

Thanks for writing the issue.
I confirm that the checkboxes are not shown.

In 3.4.x / 3.5.x /3.6.x it is displayed as (for me unrecognized) character.

Cheers,
Cor
