For this I right-click on the graphic in my Browser (Firefox/Iceweasel), select Copy and then right-click on the target location in my Writer document and select Paste. By default, however, and against my expectations, not the actual graphic gets inserted into the document, but merely a hyperlink which references the graphic URL and loads it over network on demand. Since the performance when rendering my document suffers from this and I furthermore want to make sure the document is ligible even without an internet conenction, I make a detour and select Edit-Paste Special-Bitmap instead. Now, imagine having to do this for 100 graphics... What I am missing is a check boy in the Paste Special window that allows to set my next selection, i.e. Bitmap in my case, as the new default format for the general Paste action *for this data type*. So my suggested work flow would be: - Copy graphic in browser - Edit-Paste Special in Writer - Set target to Bitmap - *Check Select as the new default box* - Click OK - Copy graphic in browser - Edit-Paste - Repeat... Currently each master slide applies a single background and text styling to a slide. In other suites, a single 'theme' contains multiple slide backgrounds, each with its own text layout and styling. I downloaded a theme from the a microsoft powerpoint theme library, and as you can see in the attached picture, it loads, though with many interprobility (unsure of spelling of that) errors. If you look at the upper right corner of the attached picture, you can see that each design is displayed as a separate master slide. Though with massive amounts of work it can be worked around, in day to day use, it feels tedious, inefficient, and downright annoying. If a set of designs could be integrated into a single set of master slides, displayed as a theme and with the background being automatically changed with layout (choosing centered text layout changes to the background associated with centered text). With this upgrade would come the need for separate preset text styling for each layout. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=65675 Ed Barnat e...@amgeek.com changed: What|Removed |Added Version|4.2.0.3 rc |4.2.0.4 release --- Comment #99 from Ed Barnat e...@amgeek.com --- Problem description: Steps to reproduce: 1. open a LibO (writer) document. Copy and paste from within that LibO (writer) document to within that LibO document. 2. Open a web page or non-LibO document and copy web page text or url 3. Past that text/url into the still open LibO (writer) document Current behavior: The copied text from step 1 is pasted into the document Expected behavior: The copied text from the web page/non-LibO document should be pasted into the document. Current work around is to close all LibO documents, which clears the LibO clipboard. Re-open the LibO document and paste before doing any cut/copy from within LibO Previously reported in Bug 62196 which does not appear in current known bug list. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 61167] Suggestions for titlecase prohibited words in user dictionary
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=61167 sophie gautier.sop...@gmail.com changed: What|Removed |Added Status|UNCONFIRMED |RESOLVED Resolution|--- |WORKSFORME CC||gautier.sop...@gmail.com --- Comment #5 from sophie gautier.sop...@gmail.com --- So to reproduce : - open a writer document - go under Tool Options Language setting linguistic - under User define dictionaries, click on New - give a name to the dictionary, check Exceptions and close - select the new dictionary in the list and click Edit - in the dialog that opens, enter Foo under the Word field and Bar under the Replace by field. Close all the dialogs to go back to the Writer document. Type Foo in the document, if it doesn't exist in your language, the dictionary check will underline it. Right click on it, the first proposition in the list will be Bar. If the word exists, no suggestion will be made as there is nothing to correct. == my conclusion, you can't expect a spell checker to make a suggestion when there is nothing to correct. Instead, the replacement table is done to handle those cases or press Ctrl+F7 to bring a list of synonymous. Closing, as imho it should not be handled by the spellchecker and can be already set.
