Good morning Julien, *,
(In reply to comment #22)
thackert: for the test, could you give a new try with a recent daily build
 (see http://dev-builds.libreoffice.org/daily/master/)?

I cannot confirm it with LO Version: 4.3.0.0.alpha0+ Build ID:

Branch:master, Time: 2014-03-31_03:13:50 (parallel installed, following the
instructions from https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Installing_in_parallel)
under Debian Testing i686 ... :( I still get the error message

quote
The certificate of the selected site is unknown.

Have a nice day

I'm so sorry, but LO 4.1.5.3 still behaves near the same way. But 4.1.5.3 not
always refuse to update the links, it does it from time to time. No schema when
and why. The workaround is still to open the first (source) spreadsheet, then
the second one.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 67506] Impress starts with first slide regardless of setting in options

--- Comment #10 from Pjotr pjotr1...@gmail.com ---
I do my 5 different lectures in one presentation file each. They have 200-300
slides per file. Need to click 280 times to reach slide 280 is annoying!

Well, start your presentation, then while it is showing page 1, just type 280
and press enter and slide 280 will be shown. At least this works flawlessly for
me.

Cheers,
Pjotr.

BTW: The Shift-F5 option is still not traceable in the Impress Helpfile. Who in
the organization should be addressed to have this minor line added, that could
be of great help for users that simply need help on this and prevent bugposts
like this?

lal, which applications are you aware of, that check for updates without being
open? Note that e.g. flash or java do run in the background and are thus able
to check. Not sure if having a LO agent for updates is worth the effort. Also
highly doubt that there's capacity for that.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 64490] LibreOffice Writer text highligthing is not compatible with Microsoft Word DOC and DOCX (highlighting transforms to background color)

2014-03-31 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=64490

--- Comment #31 from Chris Sherlock chris.sherloc...@gmail.com ---
Any GSoC participants who want to know what happens when they press the
highlight toolbar button should review the SfxDispatcher mechanism. It calls on
SfxTextShell::Execute(), the slot that it uses is SID_ATTR_CHAR_COLOR_EXT on
line 1190 of sw/source/core/ui/textsh1.cxx.

I hope that helps a little bit. You'll probably also need to look at how Word
handles highlighting in the docx format. I'll leave that as an exercise for the
student :-)

Incidentally, if you ever want to work out what a button uses, then put a
breakpoint on SfxDispatcher::Execute - that's how I worked out this.

Screen shot of LO portable showing the minimized value of 0,20 sec.

For an automatic foil change during a slideshow I have set the time to 20
seconds. LO, however, ignores the setting and change the foil after hardly 2
seconds. Increasing the value to 120 seconds does not change the behaviour.
Hence I installed LO Portable in the version 4.1.5.
The value of 20 seconds suddenly changed to 0,20 seconds! This means a factor
of 100 lower then set. I changed to 20 seconds and it worked perfectly.
Last test: I changed the setting to 12 seconds for all foils in LO portable,
stored the file, closed the portable version and started 4.2.2.1.
Now the displayed value became 1200 seconds! (factor 100)
But, at least, the time between a foil change is the set 12 seconds.

Last worked in: 4.1.5.3 release

I haven't found the original sheet from 2013-09-24 making this issue, only this
sheet after I made the necessary workarounds and some additional entries (dated
2013-11-08, of course working at this time).
It was thaught to work even some years in the future.
But this sheet is not working any more - it's now hanging tightly in macro
handling.

I'm tired, I'm giving up.
Too much work for debugging an unchanged sheet every time just to make it
running under the actual version of calc.

I was thinking of creating a new report to gain someone's attention, but that

I have the debug version of LO installed, and have a simple demo sheet

Status: UNCONFIRMED

The attached Visio file (vsd) was downloaded from Microsoft including ~20
example Visio files. (
http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=24023 )

This file includes a page number in the footer of the page. In Draw it is
displayed as 1.000 and 2.000 (German local settings), but it should be rendered
as 1 and 2.

The Microsoft Visio Viewer from Microsoft displays it correctly (see next image
upload in a few minutes).

The error that is shown to the user.

Problem description:
Pure Virtual Function call r6025 when closing a read-only document (opened on
PowerBuilder through automation)using the closing X button

Steps to reproduce:
1. Open a document using Minimized and ReadOnly PropertyValues using
PowerBuilder OLEObjects.
2. Turn the document visible.
3. Closing the document using the closing X button on Writer.

Current behavior:
A message appears mentioning a error with the text Pure Virtual Function call
r6025

Expected behavior:
Close the document.

Further information:
Closing the document using File-Exit works perfectly. Doesn't throw a error
like the closing X button.

My last OpenOffice installation OpenOffice.org 3.1.1 didn't had this problem.

It shows the error by simply closing writer? With a document opened? Without a

example odp of the bug

When using Impress to present an odp file containing RTL text on Windows, It is
at best displayed in LTR directionality and at worst completely messed up.

I tested on Linux and Windows (both with LO 4.2.2.1). The bug only shows up on
Windows. On Linux everything is rendered correctly as far as I could tell
(which is misleading when making and testing a presentation on Linux to present
on a Windows box).

Attached is a simple example file of the bug.

Note that it does not matter on which platform the presentation is made, it
will display incorrectly on Windows, and only in full-screen presentation mode.

This file is a construction plan, but not all elements are visible as the room
qm layers above all rooms hide the underlying elements. (see Image 1)

Additional is the green striped background not rendered(?) (see Image 2). I
didn't found any layer containing the color, but I might have missed it. At
least it is not displayed as it should be intended!

The Microsoft's Visio Viewer displays it correctly (see Image 3 upload in a few

Bug 58144 is fixed, but this still occurs with the current versions of
LibreOffice. In the MSI logfile it can be seen it uses Tahoma 8, which is
installed and works normally.

I have tested a little bit more. Looking where the height (in my report) could
be limited by. 17cm is exact the width of a A4-paper with 2cm margins on the
left an on the right (21cm - 2*2cm = 17cm). When I set the margin to 1cm on the
left and 1cm on the right the Position Y is changed at the maximum to 19cm.
Seems the height of Position Y is limited by the width of the page.

When I have a look at your attachment
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=96598 it's the same. Your
document has a large border on the left and the free space in the width is
exactly 15.2cm.

I will change the title and set this bug to new.

I cold confirm this bug for the first version of LO, so I set the version to
Inherited From OOo.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 76842] New: LibreOffice hanging

Classification: Unclassified
OS: Windows (All)

  Hardware: x86 (IA32)
Status: UNCONFIRMED

Hello

Background:
We are a local government authority who made the decision to use an open source
(StarOffice) office product when our XP desktop was deployed, back in 2006.

http://www.theregister.co.uk/2004/11/17/bristol_goes_linux/

Just over a year ago, we completed a move to Windows 7, and used this as an
opportunity to replace StarOffice with LibreOffice.

Current situation:

On the whole, we don't receive many LibreOffice-related calls, but one which
keeps plaguing us is one where LibreOffice keeps hanging on start.

We've found a number of posts which suggest deleting the
%appdata%\3\user\config\javasettings_windows_x86.xml file, and this does work,
but due to the randomness of the fault, this isn't that great an option, seeing
as we have more than 8500 users.

Has this issue be fixed in more recent versions of LibreOffice?
Are there any other files/registry/configurations changes which we could make
to eradicate this problem?

Please let me know if you need any more information.

James

FWIW it's the lines...

*CustomFax True: pop
*ParamCustomFax Faxno/Enter Fax Number: 1 string 0 20

that matter rather than FoomaticRIP* as it turns out.

http://www.cups.org/documentation.php/spec-ppd.html#OPTIONS

So this now *seems* to work for me. One can select Custom (pre-selected in
your simple case where there is only Custom as an option) and an editbox is
shown in the tabpage in which the fax-number/custom input can be placed and I
see it coming out the far side in cupsAddOption. Real-world testing (e.g.
tomorrows daily) appreciated.

https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=75741

--- Comment #19 from Michael Meeks michael.me...@collabora.com ---
Hi Tim, some useful things you can do would be:

a) get a 'thread apply all backtrace' output having attached gdb to a running
process for the crash, and attach it here.

b) run valgrind --num-callers=50 ./soffice.bin --calc 21 | tee /tmp/val-log

and attach /tmp/val-log here - that -should- also point pretty directly to the
memory corruption that is prolly going on there.

Having that data (particularly the valgrind log - beware runs 100x slower or
so) - is very useful and will usually point directly at the issue.

Thanks !

It could be usefull, besides zoom in (Ctrl +) and zoom out (Ctrl -), to deploy
the Ctrl + 0 to make a zoom reset like in Firefos and Chrome too.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 75441] Tamil99 keyboard typing wrong display when converted to Latha font

2014-03-31 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=75441

--- Comment #19 from Oppili sripathy...@gmail.com ---
I typed twice - using Lohit Hindi font, in tamil99 and Tamil unicode. Other
fonts are conversions (did not type all lines). Have tamil99 physical keyboard
(only tamil98 layout physical keyboard is available in market) and for Unicode
tamil layout used the onboard in Ubuntu 13.10.

Do you have Lohit Hindi font installed ?

I have a feel that tamil99 compatibility is causing the problem, suspect
tamil99 affects the unicode typing as well if selected after typing in tamil99
layout.

If it cannot be rectified please stop Tamil letters appearing in Lohit Hindi
(Hindi is a different language) other non Tamil fonts, so that users will be
forced to choose a working Tamil font.
