I'd recommend looking through it, what happens when the bug is hit? But actually, it is not immediately obvious to me what the best behaviour should be here, actually. The bug reporter seems to suggest always reset to the type default, for *any* type change. But keeping the same length (precision?) kinda makes sense, too. E.g. when going from FLOAT(17) to VARCHAR(n), well, a FLOAT(17) fits in a VARCHAR(17) (or is it VARCHAR(18) to account for the decimal separator? Need to look at definitions...), so one could argue that n=17 (or 18 / ...) is a rather good heuristic. A very quick glance at the code suggests that maybe that's what is being done, very much on purpose. Similarly, when changing from NUMERIC to DECIMAL or vice-versa, keeping the same precision and scale again makes sense to me... Similarly, in a perfect world switching from INTEGER(10) to NUMERIC, I'd say that NUMERIC(10, 0) is as good a guess than any. I'd also keep the previous length when switching between CHAR, VARCHAR, VARCHAR_IGNORECASE, etc, etc. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

Instead, verify that they do sane things, i.e. some currently set -12-31 in such a case. Places may also check for year values of or 9957 or some such, introduce a DATE_MAX_YEAR constant for the 214748 maximum year value and eliminate those hard coded values. There is an easy workflow that ensure you to not miss linked objects when exporting or moving a document or a presentation: - configure LibreOffice to use relative links - gather in a new folder your main document and your linked objects in appropriate subfolders (images, sounds, etc.). - if you use exotic fonts (which is not a good idea when you have to share a document), save the fonts inside the document (check the appropriate option in File Properties) Another mean is to break the links so that the linked objects like pictures are embedded in the file of the document : menu Edit Links... https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=40575 --- Comment #17 from Eike Rathke er...@redhat.com --- I think changing the internal representation in tools' class Date wouldn't be that hard. To inspect places that might rely on the internal layout of Date::nDate and do calculations on their own and if so fix them to use proper class Date methods, I'd make the following methods private and global make to catch where it breaks: Date( sal_uInt32 _nDate ) void SetDate( sal_uInt32 nNewDate ) sal_uInt32 GetDate() const Using css::util::Date would only have advantage over improving tools' Date internals for that it would obsolete the internal back/forth conversion to/from coded integer. Its year field is a short, thus sal_Int16 with a max year value of 32765 which would be less than the 214748 years. (not that I don't doubt any use if such year values anyway ;-) How you actually represent a date in an application is a different goal, and the spreadsheet applications' way (and not only those) to express a date/time as a double since a null date is yet something different. This is also independent of how you format a date, and the formatter doesn't have to care what the Date class uses internally. I agree that the sal_uIntPtr should be sal_Int64 instead. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

For example, Central Mnong [cmo] is written in Vietnam with a Latin script and in Cambodia with a Khmer-based script. I can mark a selection of text in Latin script as cmo-Latn-VN and it appears to work fine. An attempt to mark a section of text in Khmer script as cmo-Khmr-KH has no effect.
