[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 86408] In Persian, it's impossible to see the full characters vertically, no easy right-to-left line order, and bugs in bilingual lines
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=86408 --- Comment #9 from arya...@gmail.com --- (In reply to Urmas from comment #8) Do you have 'Options/Language Settings/Languages - Complex text layout' checkbox set? Thank you, No, it wasn't set (it is now) and CTRL-SHFT-A/D works, and the icons are in the toolbars (after restarting the Writer of course). So, the only thing not resolved yet (if I remember correctly) is (3): In bilingual lines, the line becomes LTR immediately after typing the first western charcter. I am using a US-international keyboard and try typing German umlauts with it. It seems that it shifts to a different keyboard layout after a minute or two. It is still possible to type the Umlauts, but they are now accessible with the AltGr key and are located near (not on) the corresponding a,o,u keys. I am amazed to get a backport update without this fixed. After all, if you need to type German (or many other languages) with a US keyboard you probably want to use the US international layout and LibreOffice is pretty much useless if this does not work. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

According to spec, the maximum value for this field is 0xC1. The following versions should be stored in FibRgCswNew struct (absent in LO file). Word binary format spec: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc313153.aspx http://download.microsoft.com/download/2/4/8/24862317-78F0-4C4B-B355-C7B2C1D997DB/%5BMS-DOC%5D.pdf According to Section 2.5.1 Fib (pp 50, 51): The Fib structure contains information about the document and specifies the file pointers to various portions that make up the document. It goes on to mention cbRgFcLcb (2 bytes): An unsigned integer that specifies the count of 64-bit values corresponding to fibRgFcLcbBlo and give a table that includes the following rows: Value of nFib cbRgFcLcb 0x00C1 0x005D ... 0x0101 0x0088 0x010C 0x00A4 ... From the table, it appears that nFib can be 0x101, as well as an even larger value. Of course, this is all based on my quick read of the spec. ODF 1.2 19.385 office:value-type is quite clear that the value from office:string-value takes precedence over the element content. the value of the table cell would include any fields or other formatting in the element text, which obviously can't be encoded in an XML attribute. so from that it doesn't make sense to add an office:value-type attribute on a cell that has content that isn't just plain text. another point of view would be that the ODF spec has a bug here and that office:string-value should not take precedence over the element content. office:value-type=string already differs from the other types in that for the other types the *-value attribute is mandatory and the element content is merely a preview text rendering for dumb consumers with some particular # of digits etc., which is not a concern if the type is string. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 72486] EDITING, TABLES: Edit Select All directly selects the entire document on a document beginning with a table
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=72486 tmacalp tmac...@gmail.com changed: What|Removed |Added Keywords||regression CC||tmac...@gmail.com Whiteboard||bibisected Severity|enhancement |major --- Comment #7 from tmacalp tmac...@gmail.com --- I don't know why this bug was marked with a severity of enhancement, but I've set it to major because it's an obvious regression and they warrant higher severity. It is also much more annoying than the comments here seem to indicate. If you trigger this bug, your selection will expand to the table plus all of the content below it. This makes it impossible to apply any table properties from the table dialog. It will simply ignore you. You might wonder why you are unable to set border thickness, background color, etc... Also, attempting to set any paragraph styles will only apply the styles to the non-table selected content below. Even worse, if this bug is triggered, it ruins select-all from any frame/table in that document. Trying to select-all on content in the frame/table will select everything outside of the frame/table. This is really quite an annoying bug and is something that I'm sure people run into all of the time.
