[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 90646] New: Remove Style Formatting from sidebar
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=90646 Bug ID: 90646 Summary: Remove Style Formatting from sidebar Product: LibreOffice Version: unspecified Hardware: Other OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: ux-advise Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: qui...@gmail.com CC: libreoffice-ux-adv...@lists.freedesktop.org Style Formatting sidebar in current state is too complex - its has functions that are used for managing of styles (for example dragdrop moving of styles, views to see hidden styles, user defined styles, ...). Also the styles are not context aware - all styles are always shown regardless what object is currently selected. For this reason I propose we create a modal dialog where the use can manage all the styles (where he can also have more space to do so, instead of space limited sidebar). For styles in sidebar I propose we move them to the front: - paragraph and character styles in paragraph and character properties - frame styles in image (and related object) properties - page styles to page properties - numbering styles - add numbering properties -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=70234 --- Comment #4 from steve -_- st...@openmailbox.org --- This bug is lacking reproduce steps. My guess: 1. open first test file (I see 1 but that is deleted using Track changes) 2. store as docx file 3. open docx file with LO Currently: 1 is back there but without the Track changes info that it has been deleted Expected: docx should have identical info as the odt file has. In '3 Traffic Lights 1' and '3 Traffic Lights 1' the result looks like they have been cropped as it seems to be resampling from the top left 15 pixels. The strange thing is that this same behaviour isnt noticed in '3 Signs'. ALT-H direct access to the help: _H_ilfe help menu: _H_ilfe Currently pressing ALT-H will directly open the help. Maybe there should be a way, to avoid those kind of collisions in general. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 90651] New: Arrow tool in draw function toolbar in Writer
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=90651 Bug ID: 90651 Summary: Arrow tool in draw function toolbar in Writer Product: LibreOffice Version: unspecified Hardware: All OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: enhancement Priority: medium Component: Writer Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: mhenri...@gmail.com The arrow tool in the draw function toolbar in, e g, Draw or Impress makes drawing an arrow there a breeze, but the same toolbar in Writer (I'm using 4.4.2) lacks this particular - and very handy - tool. Arrows can indeed be added in Writer by using the line tool to first draw a line, then right-click one of the end points, select Line in the drop-down menu, and choose the appropriate parameters in the box that then opens, but this procedure is not immediately intuitive for most users. I should therefore like to suggest that the developers consider adding this tool to the draw function toolbar in Writer. Given that it already is found there in Draw and Impress, it should not, I imagine, be too difficult to do so, perhaps already in version 5.0, which we have been told is in the works Henri -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 74834] CONFIGURATION: Option to disable documents thumbnails on the New Start Screen
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=74834 --- Comment #31 from Jay Philips philip...@hotmail.com --- (In reply to crxssi from comment #30) We do sorta already have that- since one can get to it from File- Recently Documents. The bug report is about the start center, so the menu bar isnt really relevant. I like the mockup Foote provided. Stuart's mockup didnt make sense to me as it would be better to show the empty welcome screen rather than shrinking the windows to just fit the size of the button column, because clicking on a module in such a state would have the window size at that size, so a user would have to resize it to do any type of work. But I know what you mean- listing them in the large area, just without the thumbnails. Yes just not showing the thumbnails fixes the primary issue trevor mentioned Easy to shoulder surf. About Horrible data density, being able to switch from the present icon view to detailed view, like what is found in file managers. Another interesting thought is that the option to display or not display thumbnails could be in that new Recent Files menu as the first entry with a checkbox next to it... something like (*) Display recently used document thumbnails I doubt there would be enough users interested in disabling the thumbnails to warrant it being in the 'Recent Files' menu, but if it had to go into the drop down, it would have to be the last entry. I'd assume this option would be present in the Tools Options dialog. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
