This teaches me that pasting complicated formulae into 1 million cells could have you wait a little time. However, LibreOffice aiming to be a trouble free experience for it's users might want to deal with long calculations in an appropriate manner that lets the user know what happens and eventually cancel the process if it takes too long. If I change my locale from the default UTF-8 locale to an ISO 8859-1 locale, for example with: export LC_ALL=nn_NO.latin1 (and even ‘export LC_ALL=C’ seems to work) the characters are correctly rendered. I guess the Word 6.0 document is encoded as Windows-1252. I don't think a delay when inserting a large image and then having to wait a couple/few seconds is the kind of tedious/slow QA is talking about. We're talking about basically freezes that eat up CPU and/or memory for quite awhile (some can freeze your system for several minutes). Else there are lots of normal run of the mill bugs that cause short delays that all would be pushed to Major and thus make the status useless. I can think of several in the past couple weeks that I marked as minor that under a paused for a few seconds standard would constitute major. I'll add it to my list to update the flowchart to try to clarify. Thanks for pointing out that it's a bit confusing in that area. It was a complex one, but I've been stripping everything off and by test and error the only thing left is a buggy text box. If you remove that, the presentation can export to pdf well, and a with new text box also works. However, with this box, not only the export fails, but my desktop session crashes. I have an XFCE desktop environment that rarely crashes, and I have also experimented this on Openbox, and in both it brings me back to the login screen. Also, I tested it at LibreOffice for Windows (v 4.4.2) and the export crashed, but without harming Windows. However, to give more accurate info about it I have to do more data on Windows platform. I can't find any log giving me any clue about what happened, and executing it from a console is useless as the console itself is killed when the error rises, so that no message can be saved. How could I get the error message? I suspect on font types, because the original one brought Calibri inside, which I don't have installed, and I used non common font types in the other text boxes, namely, Fujiyama2[1] and Cantarell[2]. Steps to reproduce problem. 1. Go to the Smoothed sheet at the far right of the sheets where there is a chart with a dotted border. This will serve as an example. 2. Go to the Data sheet at the far left where cell N1 has the value 5%. 3. Change the value to 15% and tab off the cell. 4. Return to the Smoothed sheet an see the state of the chart. 5. Double click on the chart to give it focus. 6. Click elsewhere on the sheet to remove focus from the chart. You will need to repeat steps 2 to 6 at least once changing the value in $Data.$N$1 again to reproduce the issue. I thought I would make your life easier and move the Smoothed sheet next to the Data sheet, but the issue disappeared when I did that! It seems ^ with grouping finds every letter or number in the paragraph as long as the paragraph starts with the correct type and continues with it. If the type changes mid-paragraph, it will stop finding them. So if I have ^[0-9] and the content: aa111 - it will not find the 1s that come after aa. 333 - will find all of those 3s. aa23 - will not find 2 or 3. This seems to be fixed in master, though, so I'm closing as WFM. My other Athlon XP CPU is running v4.2 without issue. Anyway, Athlon XP 2800+ (no SSE2 of course), Windows 7 x86: Loading .XLS documents generates Read Error: Internal Import Error. Loading .PPS hangs the program. I'm sure there are other issues, but it was enough for me to uninstall LO. Tried today on a Pentium III processor. Could not reproduce hang with this .pps: http://www.reading.ac.uk/web/files/www_File_Library/example.pps Please attach a .PPS that hangs in your setup. Could reproduce .xls read error. Document tab. I click on the bullseye to add a Target to the form Target in Document. Target in Document dialog appears. [A] the Target in Document window appears over the Hyperlink window covering the form (and also the tabs) so I can't see what happens when I select a target; [B] selecting a target with a single click doesn't add the target so I can just click OK (instead of Apply, then OK). If [A] and [B] are corrected, then I could see the content of the form Target in Document updating when I click on the target, so then I click ok, ok, and move on.
