[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 91601] New: Opened document not getting focus
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=91601 Bug ID: 91601 Summary: Opened document not getting focus Product: LibreOffice Version: 4.2.7.2 release Hardware: Other OS: Windows (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: LibreOffice Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: miho...@miho.im Let me start with this: No, it's not duplicate of bug 48300. It's regression, working in 4.1.6, not working in 4.3, I think I tested it with 4.2.7 and it wasn't working, so regression is somewhere in 4.2 branch. To reproduce: 1. If you have any LibreOffice windows open, close them. 2. Open windows explorer and navigate to folder where you have more then one LibreOffice file. I'm testing with Calc ODS files. 3. Open any one file. LO will open it and bring focus to that file. 4. Switch back to windows exporer (via ALT-TAB or status bar), DON'T minimize opened LO window. 5. Open any other file. EXPECTED RESULT: Last opened file should be opened in foreground, visible. ACTUAL RESULT: Last opened file opens in background, windows explorer window is still on top of it. You can test it also with opening files from e-mail program, like Thunderbird, it will produce same result. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 91434] External links - update problem with custom formatting (regression)
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=91434 --- Comment #5 from devsepp...@gmail.com --- #Zangune: Thanks for looking into this issue. I didn't realize that the state (opened /not opened) of the TargetFile affects how the links are updated. I must have confused that with the silent updating of the links with curly brackets. Anyway, I think this behavior can be dangerous and LO should ask about updating links regardless if the target file is opened or not. Just to clear things, do I understand correctly that you can confirm that the first group of links (with the conditional formatting) in the LinkTestFormatted.ods file do not get updated correctly? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 31481] [RFE] Split pane in same window for side-by-side proof reading/ translating of 2 different files
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=31481 --- Comment #59 from Edmund Laugasson edmund.laugas...@gmail.com --- (In reply to Kumāra from comment #58) (In reply to Dmitry Pashkevich from comment #17) The title of this bug says about 'reading of 2 docs' but I mostly want to be able to edit two parts of the same doc via split view. I miss this feature a lot in LibreOffice. What you're interested in is reported as Bug 42428 (which someone wrongly marked as duplicate of this). There you'll also read about an existing feature that serves (though not so elegantly) your purpose. As I described at Bug 42428 this is practically the same feature as we can change through Window menu the documents we are viewing. So we can view one or more documents. In programming this makes no sense to create the feature, which actually already in Calc exist. But it seems that currently in Calc the split function does not allow switch between documents. I just would propose the scrolling feature of window splitting would be configurable - so people can decide whether they they would lock the scrolling or not - both of them would be needed, that's for sure. But if there would be diff like we know it in programming - then there would be two different features and point to create separate feature requests. If the functionality is planned not to allow change documents in split view - then these can be two different bugs. But I would propose to expand the split window functionality and allow also change documents in split view. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

When you scroll through the doc in one pane, the doc in the other pane scrolls an equivalent amount. This is called proofreading mode. This one however it's about having split panes for ONE doc. Please double check and revert the duplication marking if you agree. The split window feature allows you to view one or more documents. You can easily switch between documents using the Window pull-down menu. In programming it does not make sense of creating the feature itself. Actually the feature exist already in Calc - so there would be expected to implement it also in Writer and why not also in other apps of LibreOffice where possible. There will be never two choices in menu like split ONE document and split TWO documents. If there would be developed diff like we know it in programming editors then this would be different funtionality than just splitting. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 91390] Animations not working
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=91390 Michael mdun...@uwaterloo.ca changed: What|Removed |Added Whiteboard|bibisectRequest |bibisected --- Comment #3 from Michael mdun...@uwaterloo.ca --- It doesn't lock up in the traditional sense of the program becoming unresponsive. The bug is, in presentation mode, you can step forward to slide #3, and play the first animation (words slide down from top)... but further advances don't show the remaining animations on that slide, or show the next slides. In the pptx file, from the start of slide 3, there are 60 advances to the end of the presentation. Via bibisect-releases, - The bug does not happen in 3.6.7.2. - In 4.0.0.0.beta1, some parts of the slide-3 animation proceed, but they are mangled, and after about 12 advances, the screen no longer updates. However, if you keep pressing page-down until you hit 60 advances, it shows the click to exit presentation screen. - In 4.0.0.0.beta2 and above, including 5.1 master builds, we get the no-updates-after-first-animation-on-slide-3 behaviour. Again, advancing 60 times yields the 'end of presentation' screen. So it appears that in 4.0.0.0.beta1 onwards, the presentation is internally advancing, but the screen is not being updated correctly. $ git bisect log # bad: [12aa7e702b7d1f1a9de579e5293779dc84ef42e7] libreoffice-4.0.0.1 # good: [f829590e1c73663ee9463c2f54219794b88764b0] libreoffice-3.6.0.4 git bisect start 'libreoffice-4.0.0.1' 'libreoffice-3.6.0.4' # good: [f4b2466b27f7d7d13b71213a534a8f01dfa1805b] libreoffice-3.6.6.1 git bisect good f4b2466b27f7d7d13b71213a534a8f01dfa1805b # good: [2ba8a27cc4f9f01e531e73760f6c3f6505999be5] libreoffice-3.6.7.2 git bisect good 2ba8a27cc4f9f01e531e73760f6c3f6505999be5 # bad: [70384e41cb98846980857d709fb50601e57709b3] libreoffice-4.0.0.0.beta2 git bisect bad 70384e41cb98846980857d709fb50601e57709b3 # bad: [4f2186cd72652db35eebe5b1b9d3693723433b85] libreoffice-4.0.0.0.beta1 git bisect bad 4f2186cd72652db35eebe5b1b9d3693723433b85 # first bad commit: [4f2186cd72652db35eebe5b1b9d3693723433b85] libreoffice-4.0.0.0.beta1 -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 91600] New: EDITING: oForm.UpdateRow() doesen't refresh all fields of a form
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=91600 Bug ID: 91600 Summary: EDITING: oForm.UpdateRow() doesen't refresh all fields of a form Product: LibreOffice Version: Inherited From OOo Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64) OS: Linux (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: major Priority: medium Component: Base Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: rob...@familiegrosskopf.de Created attachment 116005 -- https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=116005action=edit Activate macros. open the database, open the form and press the button ... 1. Activate LO to execute macros. 2. Open the attached database. 3. Open the form. 4. Press the button «Set all fields except primary key ID NULL». The value in the field firstname disappears. All other values seem still be saved in the table. 5. Go to next row. 6. Go back to first row. All fields except ID are empty. The macro: SUB SetNull(oEvent AS OBJECT) oForm = oEvent.Source.Model.Parent oForm.getByName(firstname).BoundField.UpdateNULL() oForm.getByName(lastname).BoundField.UpdateNULL() oForm.getByName(street).BoundField.UpdateNULL() oForm.getByName(town).BoundField.UpdateNULL() oForm.getByName(birthday).BoundField.UpdateNULL() oForm.getByName(gender).BoundField.UpdateNULL() oForm.UpdateRow END SUB All fields are set NULL except ID. This works right. UpdateRow works right except refreshing the content of all fields to the new content. Expected behavior: UpdateRow should refresh content of all fields of a row to see the saved values in the table of the database. I set the severity of this bug to «major». For normal users there seem to be data loss while switching from one row to another. Bug appears on OpenSUSE 13.2 64bit rpm Linux with every installed LO-Version including LO 3.*. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 91548] FEATURE REQUEST: analysis toolpak for Calc
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=91548 --- Comment #7 from Edmund Laugasson edmund.laugas...@gmail.com --- Well - scientists might be busy or satisfied with current MS Excel and do not bother themselves with that. Most scientists unfortunately do not care of software freedom but if there would be already the ready set of free tools and somebody will tell it then they would use it. But this caring starts from decisionmakers and this in turn starts when there would be free alternative to MS Excel analysis toolpack and real statistics toolpack. Then there would be possible to show to the decisionmakers that there are also completely free tools and we can spend research money to something better (for the real purpose) than just buying software licences This would be definitely a call to all people in universities who are close to developers and scientists to implement the analysis and real statistics toolpacks in LibreOffice Calc. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 91328] Object Variable Not Set Error Message when Member not Defined for Variant
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=91328 --- Comment #2 from Noel Power nopo...@novell.com --- (In reply to Joel Madero from comment #1) @Noel - I think you would be most qualified to answer this one - not sure if anyone in QA would be comfortable doing so. iiuc then this error is correct and matches what MS vba does/says (note: I don't currently have access to any MS Office versions to check) There seems multiple issues described here, I wont bother trying to decipher them, if there are separate issues then there should be separate bugs. My response here is for the issue in the subject only, e.g. Object Variable Not Set error when member not defined for Variant Again (iirc) this is the standard VB error in this scenario, the first example above assigns a 'basic type' e.g an 'Integer' and a Variant containing an Integer respectively. That type (e.g. Integer or Variant) is passed to the 'TestVariant1' subroutine as a 'Variant' type, note: Arg1 has no type so it will be treated as a Variant. Also Note: a Variant is an opaque type, it's a sortof container for 'any' type you assign to it, when you try and call a method on a Variant it 'knows' you are trying to call on the 'Object' contained by the 'Variant' In the example above the 'Object' assocated with that 'Variant' type is 'NULL' as the real types passed are basically primitive types. The error reflects 'Basics' understanding of the situation and it is telling you there is no Object associated with the Variant. The reason why the second example gives a different error is that 'oCurrentSelection' *IS* an object and the Variant in this case does infact have an object instance that it tries to call a method on. If the method (or property) does not exist for the object you are trying to call on it reports that fact. I see there are other comments about the debugger stopping at the function (implying it doesn't actually get to the real error) that sounds very suspicious, if that is happening that would be a bug imho -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=91605 Bug ID: 91605 Summary: Automatic conversion of text to number failing applyed to array under iterative evaluation Product: LibreOffice Version: unspecified Hardware: Other OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Calc Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: j...@psilosoph.de http://ask.libreoffice.org/en/question/51087/array-formula-calc-4432/ The above URL will open a forum thread dicussing the issue rather detailed. It is, however, independent of the fact that the original question referred to an example gotten from an XLSX file. In short: A range containing texts (strings) syntactically acceptable as numbers should automatically convert to numerical values if used as an operand of an arithmetic expression. (Delimitation may be problematic.) This does not reliably work under the condition of iterative array evaluation as specified in the relevant OASIS document (http://docs.oasis-open.org/office/v1.2/os/OpenDocument-v1.2-os-part2.html#__RefHeading__1017866_715980110 ), num 2). #A The output range will show the #VALUE! error. #B The same error will be returned by a function trying to evaluate a parameter containing the array expression. Versions I tried this with V4.4.3, prerelease 5.0.0.0 beta1 and got the results as described and demonstrated by the attached example. I also tried with some older versions ('Portable') I have access to. V4.1 and the older (legacy) versions also showed the error, but with the exception of case #B. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
