https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=83830 --- Comment #16 from Yousuf (Jay) Philips philip...@hotmail.com --- Looking over the last mockup again, these corrections are needed Margins: 1) spin controls should be removed 2) Margin preset combobox should be moved to the Format section with a label Header: 1) Height label and control should be remove and replaced by the 'Same content' label and combobox 2) Margin spin controls should be replaced with combobox with preset margins 3) Spacing spin control should be replaced with combobox with preset spacing It would great if it is possible to add a centered 'Insert Page Number' button in the Header section, which would enable the header if not already active and add a new paragraph which is centered and add a page number field to it. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 91814] Problem when copying large table with floating-point values from Calc to Base (HSQLDB)
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=91814 --- Comment #5 from rob...@familiegrosskopf.de --- Base and the internal HSQLDB (and also I myself) doesn't know what kind of numbers that are. So there is created a varcharfield for every columns and reserved a length of 65535 characters for every field. Base recognizes the fields as varchar-fields also when connecting the Calc-table directly to Base. Have tried to import the first 1000 rows - works without any error. If I try to import the whole table at one time it doesn't work. Don't know how the wizard works. But expected behavior would be: Every row must be copied and inserted to the new table. If there will appear an error all rows, which had been copied before, must be part of the new table. The new table hasn't to be empty. Copying of the Calc-table to Base at once shows such an empty table. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 75662] All of LibreOffice 4.x hangs if LibreOffice Base 4.x is running when switching between video console and RDP session
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=75662 --- Comment #9 from Brolin Empey bro...@brolin.be --- (In reply to Brolin Empey from comment #8) I have upgraded to LibreOffice 4.3.5.2 on incubus. LibreOffice still hangs if Base is running when switching between using the video console and RDP session. Until 2015‑05‑26, I had User Account Control (UAC) enabled on Windows 7 on incubus. On 2015‑05‑26, I disabled UAC whilst troubleshooting whilst installing CyanogenMod on my new Samsung Galaxy Note 3 handheld computer. I installed AndrOpenOffice, which is based on Apache OpenOffice, on CyanogenMod. I discovered that AndrOpenOffice Base seems to not work with my personal contacts database file, contacts.odb . I installed Apache OpenOffice 4.1.1 , the current release, on incubus because I wanted to check if Apache OpenOffice Base proper works with my contacts.odb file. It does work but that is not why I am writing this message. I am writing this message because I discovered that, with UAC disabled on Windows 7 on incubus, Apache OpenOffice Base using my contacts.odb file survives the switch from video console to RDP and back. LibreOffice Base using my contacts.odb file still hangs when switching from video console to RDP. I am still using LibreOffice 4.3.5.2 . I still need to reenable UAC and retest switching between using the video console and an RDP session while LibreOffice Base inclusive-or Apache OpenOffice Base is running. I guess the hang I am experiencing is caused by something present in LibreOffice but not in Apache OpenOffice? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

Place cursor in body and Insert → Manual Break and OK default. Note: There are now two pages with Default Style. 4. Place cursor in header and hover mouse over page break to get purple popover and select Edit Page Break. 5. Change to Text Flow tab (due to other bug that opens to Indents Spacing), change Break Type from Page to Column. 6. Click on the With page style checkbox to clear blue box and then check With page style checkbox; Default Style appears. 7. Change from Default Style to First Page and OK. Result: Second page has been changed successfully to First Page style. The page break can be altered with the cursor in a paragraph other than the first: 8. On the second page, enter some empty paragraphs. 9. Place cursor on the second page in any paragraph except the first and hover mouse over page break to get purple popover and select Edit Page Break. 10. TableRefs in named expressions aren't supported yet. * If occurrences of LookUpDateAndTime in the formulas are replaced with it's content Input[DATE]Input[TIME] the Err508 goes away. However, the formula then still does not work as can be seen if the IFERROR functionality is removed so the formula reads =INDEX(Input[],MATCH(DATEVALUE(DateVal)DailySchedule[[#This Row],[time]],Input[DATE]Input[TIME],0),3) because 2. The DailySchedule table is defined to $'Daily Schedule'.$E$4:$F$36 that does not include a header row and there is no TIME header field. Excel apparently allows such construct and remembers the column headers in the OOXML tabletableColumnstableColumn elements. Importing tableColumns definitions is not implemented yet. * This can be worked around by entering TIME in E3 and defining the DailySchedule name to $'Daily Schedule'.$E$3:$F$36 3. Furthermore, Excel seems to treat the MATCH lookup array argument special, because both Input[DATE] and Input[TIME] evaluate to range references ($'Event Scheduler'.$E$5:$E$17 and $'Event Scheduler'.$F$5:$F$17) with which an implicit intersection reference is created (in LibreOffice, in other context also in Excel) depending on the position of the formula where they are used, so actually only F5:F17 could have meaningful results. * My guess is that Excel internally creates an array of the Input[DATE]Input[TIME] expression when used as a lookup array argument of the MATCH function. This may be a general feature of the MATCH function, and maybe [HV]LOOKUP as well, and not restricted to TableRef arguments. Needs to be evaluated in Excel. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 91820] Reorganization of the menu bar for Calc
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=91820 Yousuf (Jay) Philips philip...@hotmail.com changed: What|Removed |Added Status|NEEDINFO|NEW See Also||https://bugs.documentfounda ||tion.org/show_bug.cgi?id=91 ||781 --- Comment #2 from Yousuf (Jay) Philips philip...@hotmail.com --- (In reply to Cor Nouws from comment #1) Question: what is the work based on, comments, experience, study, comparing with other software, ...? As stated in the description of bug 91781, I have already completed the reorganization with the help of the OOo user stats, as well as analyzing a number of competing word processors. So basically i've used the same method i've used to improve the toolbar and context menus. Some comments: Edit Merge document is a function limited to documents with tracked changes. It must be in that sub menu. Answered in bug 91781 comment 11. View Print preview limits editing possibilities, unlike Normal/page break. I would keep it with File Print Answered in bug 91781 comment 11. Why do you rename Freeze to Freeze panes ? The word 'Freeze' by itself has no meaning. It had no meaning as Window Freeze as you are not actually freezing the window. Freeze panes is used in Excel, but we could use Freeze Rows/Columns if that is more preferable. Tools Cell contents - I miss this. It is not about Data as the function in that menu. This was moved and to Data Calculate as the entries are to recalculate data. We had another discussion on the position of the Tools menu. Do I see that it is missed here? No we had discussions about it during the HIG work and decided that Tools would always be next to Window for consistency of the menu bar. Data AutoFilter and More filters.. I would not do that. Shortcut Data Filter immediately offers AutoFilter The stats showed that 78% of users who opened the Data Filter submenu went for AutoFilter and it is the second most used entry in the Data menu, so it is important that it be not in a submenu. Sheet Interesting idea.. Yes i wondered what would be the best possible name for it. It does seem however to pretty vigorously grab focus - and indeed appears to inhibit other windows from rendering when it's visible - most unusual =) Of course with a modern compositing WM you tend not to see that happening so easily; but grabbing focus from all other app windows is annoying indeed - but that in itself is no regression; the open dialog was confusingly application-modal in 4.3. None of the commits in vcl/unx/gtk/fpicker look at all suspicious since 4.3 either - so I guess perhaps more of a core gtk+ or RenderContext issue. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

I don't know if it was a problem with tables or formulas within tables or what else, but at some point Writer started crashing when saving the file. In the beginning, after reopening LibreOffice and recovering the document, I would work around the problem by Saving As... and giving the file a new name. Now even saving a new file completely crashes LibreOffice. If I start LibreOffice from the command line, I open the file, just add a space in order to set a modified state and then save it, I get this: libc++abi.dylib: terminating with uncaught exception of type com::sun::star::packages::zip::ZipIOException Abort trap: 6 Now I'm getting the same if I try to save it with a new name without editing. At some point (can't remember how I was saving the file) I also got this: libc++abi.dylib: terminating with uncaught exception of type com::sun::star::io::NotConnectedException Abort trap: 6 In the meantime, some formulas got corrupted and double clicking on their placeholders outputs a General OLE Error. At first I was using 4.4.3. Then I tried upgrading to 4.4.4.1.0, but nothing changed. That is the version I got the errors above with. I tried deleting my user profile directory. I tried installing version 4.3.7.2, but it is the same. I tried opening the same file on 4.3.5.2 on Windows 8. There, opening the file read only and trying to save it with a new name brings out this: Error saving the document ...: General Error. General input/output error. Now, I've got no doubt the document is badly corrupted, but I wonder what I did in order to get it in such a pitiful state. I'm going to attach the newest near-to-usable version of the maudit document so that you can see for yourself. Thank you in advance for any help you might give me.
