[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 96634] New: Fatal error on creating a serial letter wizard at last step

2015-12-20 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=96634

Bug ID: 96634
Summary: Fatal error on creating a serial letter wizard at last
step
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.0.3.2 release
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: LibreOffice
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: uri.k...@gmail.com

On any try it is the same result. The program crashes with the following
message:

SfxBaseModel::impl_store  failed: 0x81a

I use the wizard with the actual document and select the radio box "letter". I
use a calc table as adress list. Then I define and insert the adress block for
the letter. Afterwards I define the form of adress for the serial letter. After
click on "next" the error message given in the second line appears and the hole
program stopps running.

Greetings
Uwe Richter

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 32935] CSV import dialog doesn't get focus if libreoffice is already running

2015-12-20 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=32935

The essence of the bug (or misfeature) is that the dialog is attached to the
wrong window.

When any CSV or HTML file is right clicked in Windows Explorer and 'Open
with... LibreOffice Calc' selected

(a) if LibreOffice is not running:

 (i) The Import Dialog opens with no parent window, at the top of the Z order,
i.e. on top of the Explorer window from which it was called.
(ii) If OK is clicked on the Import Dialog, a Calc window opens.
(iii) If Cancel is selected, LibreOffice quits.

In other words, correct behaviour.

(b) if LibreOffice is running

 (i) the Import Dialog opens with some existing LibreOffice window as its
parent. This need not be a Calc window: it will attach to e.g. a Writer window
if any is open.
(ii) In no case does the Import Dialog or its parent window come to the top of
the Z-order. Even if its parent is the topmost window other than the calling
Explorer window, the dialog remains underneath the Explorer window. If the
parent window happens to be deeper in the Z-order, the dialog is completely
hidden, with no clue to the user that it is there.

In other words, the bug/misfeature is exercised.

It looks like potentially a very simple fix. The Import Dialog just needs to
open with no parent even if LibreOffice is already running. I would expect it
to involve no more than changing a parent window reference to null for both
kinds of import dialog.

If you wish me to raise a separate bug report for the HTML Import Dialog,
please let me know.

Tested in LibO 3.3.0, so setting to inherited.

Also, a better description of the behaviour I would expect:

On click of a button styling (all 4 edges, sides, etc.), it would set those
boarders on at the current settings for parameters.

On first click of an edge on the preview, it would load the current settings
into the parameters. Once loaded, subsequent click on that edge would toggle
the state.

Clicking on a different edge would restart the process.

Actual behavior

How to crate this file

With LibreOffice 5.0.3 for Windows,

1. Create a new Writer document

2. Go to [Format] > [Page...] > tab: [Page]
-> Set "Text direction" to [Right-to-left (vertical)] then click [OK]

3. Type 电脑 ("a computer" in Chinese) in the document
-> You will see these two characters appear vertically with no rotation
-> Latin characters may rotate 90 degrees which may be an expected behavior

4. Click [Export as PDF]
-> The Chinese characters are being rotated 90 degrees.

The symptom is still there, however, some numbers have been changed. The page
size is 4.5cm x 4.5cm. For some reason it is not possible to create smaller
pages any more. (Why?...)

I attach the new
- odt,
- its pdf version exported from LO and
- png screenshot of the pdf file, viewed in Foxit PDF Viewer

I applied the Print Screen on the pdf viewer, pasted the screenshot in Gimp and
then re-coloured the border to be red. After that, I measured the width of the
red area in all the four sides. As you can see, it is still asymmetric.

My intention is, to return something to the group who made LO available for all

But I thought that somebody would maybe test the files and feedback? IMHO the

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 96631] New: LO freezes when adding rows in table by holding upon page break; Editing; Table

2015-12-20 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=96631

Bug ID: 96631
Summary: LO freezes when adding rows in table by holding
upon page break; Editing; Table
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.0.3.2 release
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: weltq...@gmail.com

Created attachment 121456
  --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=121456=edit
Document with Table

Editing, Table

Problem: Table with Heading (to be repeated on each new page). When reaching
the end of the table and the end of the page, I wanted to quickly add some more
lines by simply holding the TAB key (the cursor then proceeds fast fwd, adding
a new line after reaching the last cell). If however, the table would have to
be continued on the next page, LO freezes.

If I do *not* _hold_ the TAB Key, i.e. pressing it one by one, I can add new
lines also across to the new page, without LO freezing.

To reproduce use attachment: Insert the cursor in a cell near the end of the
table, press *and hold* TAB key to add new lines until the table would have to
be extended to the next page.

LO Version: 5.0.3.2
Build-ID: e5f16313668ac592c1bfb310f4390624e3dbfb75
Gebietsschema: de-DE (de_DE.UTF-8)
OS: Linux Mint 17.2 KDE
LO used from official tarballs (i.e. NOT from the Linux Mint repository)

Best regards,
Benjamin

I thought of this as a general object handling bug, but since specifically you
(menace5) experience it, it must be in the formulae code.

Too bad I left the project, but with that Information at hand, it will be worth
for me to dig in one last time this christmas.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 96632] New: Area fill and Border Line-style/Colour Cannot Be Modified Using a Mouse Alone

2015-12-20 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=96632

Bug ID: 96632
Summary: Area fill and Border Line-style/Colour Cannot Be
Modified Using a Mouse Alone
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.1.0.1 rc
  Hardware: All
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: LibreOffice
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: bugzi...@rhynas.com

Since upgrading from LO 5.0.3.2 to 5.1.0 RC1, I've found that Writer's Border
and Area colour settings for Paragaraph, Character, Frame and Page styles,
don't respond correctly to mouse Left-clicks. It's the same issue with text
boxes in CALC and DRAW.

To modify Area Fill-type, and Border Line-style or colour, I now have to use
keyboard Up/Down arrow keys (or mouse point/scroll) then hit Enter key to
select the desired value.

To reproduce, start a new Writer document, apply some styles then attempt to
modify their area type and border colour/line-style using a mouse.

Details:
PARAGRAPH STYLE:
Area fill type (colour, gradient, hatching, bitmap) cannot be selected using
mouse L-click.
Area colour CAN be selected with mouse AFTER fill-type has been selected.
Border line-style and colour cannot be selected using mouse L-click.

CHARACTER STYLE:
Highlight colour CAN be selected ok with mouse L-click.
Border line-style or colour cannot be selected using mouse L-click.

FRAME STYLE
as for Paragraph style.

PAGE STYLE:
as for Paragraph style

"Upgrading" from a stable build to a dev build for production isn't a good idea
in general... Anyway, that's a known problem, and already fixed towards RC2.

Further investigation seems to show that there are problems both when using
"glyph caching" and not (SAL_DISABLE_GLYPH_CACHING=1), and when using OpenGL
and not. Different problems, though. In one case the ₂ shows up just fine
(being picked through glyph replacement from another font), in the other case
it doesn't show up and instead you get a mis-rendered mess with two small black
boxes. In both cases the glyph widths as used by cursor movement don't match
the actually rendered glyphs. In short, a sorry mess. Sigh.

Long document with footer

1.) Have a really long document with footer (attached).
2.) Focus inside the footer

As soon as you grab the scrollbar and dragging down fast, Writer leaves the
"Footer" marks on the screen (screenshot attached, too).

Look, I've found related test case with only one rectangle and one arrow.
Ti reproduce it:
1) Draw a rectangle in Draw
2) Draw an arrow connected to the rectangle with ony one end
3) Group them
4) Copy the group
5) Paste in empty Writer document
6) Change anchoring to character
7) Save and reopen
8) ???
9) PROFIT!
Should I try to find even more test cases? It seems that I've had one in one of
my documents.

8) ???
9) PROFIT!

Ещё пытаться найти? Кажется, где-то у себя я подобное видел.

SvMemoryStream.remainingSize ret. size to end of data not buffer

SvMemoryStream remainingSize returned the size from current
position to internal buffer size instead to end of data. This
was not consistent with what remainingSize description says on
SvStream (and other SvStream implementations work) and what the
user expects.

I will NEVER get the hang of this web site...

I downloaded text from a web siteso that I could see it in screen. I chose The
Adventures of Huckleberry Fin from www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/76, viewed using
Google Chrome. I selected several paragraphs, Copy'd then and pasted them into
a New Writer document.

I made sure that Format | Autocorrect was set to change straight single and
double quotes to curly ones and selected Format | Autocorrect | Apply.

Writer did not apply the autocorrect changes for the quotes.

This bug is also present in the standard version as well as the Portable

   Product: LibreOffice

Example of an unreadable dialog box label

In menu dialog boxes such as format page, format character, and others, some of
the labels are totally unreadable. Example: in
Writer-Format-PageStyle-Organizer, the first label is "Page" and third label is
"Inherit From" but second label is a heavy black typeface of unreadable
characters. I see this problem on many settings dialog boxes. I tried resetting
my profile by quitting the LibreOffice apps, deleting the directory
~/.config/libreoffice, then re-launching any LibreOffice app such as Calc;
however, that does not resolve the problem. I tried changing Tools-Options-View
settings such as Scaling and antialiasing on/off/from, but that does not
resolve the problem. I am currently running LibreOffice 5.0.3.2 on Fedora 23
and I apply patches daily.

The bug is still present with LibreOffice 5.0.3.2 on OS X 10.11.

Again I created a document with many formulae, worked on it, saved it, closed
it, reopened it and for no apparent reason formulae got:

1.out of place and warped to fit into their new place
2.replaced by "Object X"

Again I sadly have no uncrippled version of the document at hand. I attached
documents from 11/9/15 and 12/9/15 that represent different degrees of
corruption.

Please tell me, when I can provide any more information.
