This bug is caused by sw/source/core/layout/flowfrm.cxx IsColBreak() due to
this clause in a while loop:
(!pPrev->IsInDocBody() && !m_rThis.IsInFly())

This line has been in *OpenOffice* since the very beginning of flowframe.cxx,
so it is difficult to understand why this clause exists. Forcing it to be
false (false && !prev->IsInDoc) did not cause any unit test failures.

saved in both versions. Also reproduced in Linux with 5.5.0.2.

Steps taken to produce attached doc:
start with empty document, insert hyperlink, press Home, press Enter, press Up,
write "test", save as RTF.

Can confirm in LO 5.2 beta2 that there are a couple of differences compared to
the PDF. The most serious issue seems to be the empty tables at 8), but there
are some smaller ones as well, like incorrect page breaks (page 1-2-3), or
table columns that aren't wide enough ( 7) ).

Matthias, I'd suggest that you compile a list of the different issues you
noticed, and would like to see fixed, with 1-2 examples from the document.
Preferably check with 5.2 beta2 prerelease.

Given that this wasn't reproduced by the original reporter on a second machine
this is definitely an environment issue that needs to be dealt with by the
original reporter.

Closing as NOTOURBUG

@Guillaume - if you can better find out what is different about the environment
that might be causing the problem - feel free to better describe what's going
on and maybe this bug will be opened back up

Also maybe go to the user email list to ask about other people's experience (as
this seems like almost enterprise level stuff) because maybe they'll have
guidance available. Thanks

Hi Frank,

There isn't nearly enough information provided for us to do anything:

1) Is this a new problem?
2) Does this happen with every single test case (if you just open a new
document and insert a single footnote and then delete it, do you see a crash?)
3) Can you attach a document (simpler the better) that crashes for you when you
delete a footnote?

Marking as NEEDINFO - once you provide adequate information please set to

Another OpenGL device log:

What is somewhat conflicting is that for Ryan the bug occurred with empty

I suggest this bug be closed as INVALID (it was originally an invalid report
with multiple issues reported in a single bug) and then the original reporter
should report new bugs (1 issue per report) with clean reproducible steps and
simple test documents.

I won't close it myself but I suspect that the bug will never be looked at by a
developer if it's not closed and new clean bugs created.

We need the test file (prior to any save with new version of LibreOffice).
Without a test file there is absolutely nothing we can do so you either have to
purge it of sensitive information or have this bug closed as INVALID.

Mark as UNCONFIRMED once a sample file is attached.

Also reading is not working correctly.

2016-06-12 Thread bugzilla-daemon

Bug ID: 100346
Summary: Formatting errors in an existing Calc file opened
after updating to 5.1.3.2
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: unspecified
  Hardware: All
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Calc

  Reporter: gabenso...@aol.com

Formatting.
1. I just updated to 5.1.3.2. I opened an existing spreadsheet in Calc that
was saves as an Excel file. One (at least) of the sheets in the workbook was
corrupted. Several columns appeared to have been hidden without any action on
my part and could not be "unhidden" using the "Show Columns" command. However,
when I inserted a new column adjacent to one of the missing columns, one of the
previously hidden columns appeared, complete with data. However, the column
heading was new, not the original. Furthermore, if I select a column and
delete it, several other, neighboring and unselected columns are deleted as
well. This is all wierd and irritating.
2. Minor issue. When I use "/" as a date separator this character appears in
the editing cell as a solid, black block but is normal in the target cell,
e.g., 10/26/2010. This error makes it difficult to see and edit a date.

The workbook contains sensitive financial data so I am not attaching it to this
report.

Though an alpha/beta LibreOfficeDev version should also peacefully coexist with
an existing LibreOffice install, because of the different name.
Installing multiple LibreOffice releases is what requires additional attention
(and that's what SI-GUI could help with).

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 55133] COMMENT - added comment text gets invisible when fist row is set as header (MENU WINDOW FREEZE)

2016-06-12 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=55133

I have checked in Version: 5.1.3.2 (x64) on Windows 7 Pro; hidden text bug has
disappeared, but remains next annoying behaviour:

- part of the frozen line cell's comment overlapped with no-frozen cells
disappears when no frozen cells are scrolled, remaining visible only frozen
line overlapped part of the comment.

- part of the NO-frozen line cell's comment overlapped with FROZEN cells
remains when no frozen cell is scrolled.

I cannot decide if old bug has been corrected and I must open a new bug, remain
in the same bug or if described behaviour is not a bug.

Please, take your decision as developers, and it will be good for me.

Regards.

I would also mention that in ODfB, files shared by others to you are not synced
to the local folder. Microsoft Office accesses them via WebDAV.

I think the best course of action would be make LibreOffice support form-based
authentication on WebDAV. Then one would be able to enter the URL of the
document to LibreOffice and open it for editing.

Sorry for the time to answer.

Yes, I have the same effects of the bug 95547.
And I can complete with an effect that I am seeing now: Change the zoom of the
document has the same effect than change the font size, in other words, some
letters are missing with some zoom ratio and anti-aliasing disabled.

Regards.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 100344] New: UNO command to "Restore to Original"

2016-06-12 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=100344

Bug ID: 100344
Summary: UNO command to "Restore to Original"
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: Inherited From OOo
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: UI
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: lukebe...@hotmail.com

When working with images, it’s very useful to have a “Reset” button to restore
your image to its original condition. Currently we can only restore resized
images with “Original Size”. A much more useful command would allow you to
completely restore an inserted image to its original state. This would undo
everything including resizing, rotating, scaling, cropping and framing with
lines.

Unless someone can come up with a compelling, common use-case, I see no reason
for “Reset Image” to not replace “Original Size” in the context menu.

Sorry for the delay. Since I need to work with LO the experiment with 64bit
version will take some time and I will not test ist on my Win 8.1 Pro 64bit
because a paralell installation is not possible (I tried but failed once with
an official version) an alpha-version is not possible for me to use.
I have a Win7 pro 64bit installed for several purposes - I think I will test it
there ... if the bug with LO 5.1.3.2 is existing there.
Maybe one of my extensions scrambling the special character table ... (I had a
similar thing earlier a few months ago).

My guess is that it is because a formatted field use a double (IEEE 64bit
double precision floating point number) for the number that is contained in it
and/or for the formatting.

See forms/source/component/FormattedField.[ch]xx

The formatting is done by a system that is shared with Calc; I don't remember
out of the top of my head where it is, but look for "SvNumberFormatsSupplier"
in svl

You have to chose View > Refresh tables (or something like this - haven't
looked in English GUI). This is the normal way to show the GUI tables have been
added through direct SQL.

For NETWORDAYS.INTL, Excel help says :
"Weekend string values are seven characters long and each character in the
string represents a day of the week, starting with Monday. 1 represents a
non-workday and 0 represents a workday. Only the characters 1 and 0 are
permitted in the string. Using 111 will always return 0.

For example, 011 would result in a weekend that is Saturday and Sunday."

Should we provide a NETWORKDAYS function with week beginning on Sunday and
NETWORKDAYS.INTL with week starting on Monday ?

Confusing...

Indeed, this is a less dirty workaround to have the objects one have in a ODG
into a ODP file. However, and please correct me if I'm wrong, when doing this
the page of the original file isn't respected.

It's perfectly understandable that the page size is kept in a "presentation
like" size. However, if the content of ODG file is complex the content could be
altered (regarding disposition) and different shapes could be placed in
different places. But otherwise, it's a nice and simple solution.

--

Last, I'd like to point out that from Impress, it is possible to save an ODP
file as ODG simple using File -> Save as -> ODG.
Sadly, when trying to open this file, Impress will be used instead of Draw.
This is because the file mimetype is kept as presentation instead of graphics
(this is how I discovered my workaround).

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 100254] Incorrect import of BIG INTEGER as Decimal(18) from CSV

2016-06-12 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=100254

--- Comment #22 from rob...@familiegrosskopf.de ---
Have tested it a little bit.
1. Opened the database
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=125563
2. Executed there in Tools > SQL:
CREATE TEXT TABLE "Csv" ("ID" BIGINT PRIMARY KEY);
(creates a text-table with BIGINT)
SET TABLE "Csv" SOURCE "new.csv;ignore_first=true;encoding=UTF-8";
(creates a connection to the first attached *.csv-file)
SELECT * FROM "Csv";
(shows the correct numbers)
3. Opened the same table in the GUI - couldn't display the right number, shows
12345678912345700 instead of 12345678912345678

Displaying numbers with more than 16 digit seems to be impossible in the GUI.
But this numbers were saved in the database.

4. Now I created a query:
SELECT CAST("ID" AS VARCHAR(18)) FROM "Csv"
Shows the right value.

The bug for Base and Calc has nothing to do with DECIMAL or BIGINT, but with
displaying the right value inside the GUI.

Ok now I get it, but I don't know if this is intentional.
If you add another sheet to the 2nd document before opening the Move/copy
dialog, then the actions are not greyed out.

Clear evidence of better information in database

An analysis of xml (save/DocBook.xml and MSWord2000.xml) reveals that required
information for suggested solution is part of the databasis. Moreover it makes
clear that Docbook and MSWord both use the suggested solution.
