Product: LibreOffice Version: unspecified Hardware: All OS: Windows (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: enhancement Priority: medium Component: framework Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: grac...@gmail.com Description: The title pretty much says it. If you want to rename a file from within the application you'd have to save it under a different name and delete the original in the OS. Or close the file and rename the file in the OS itself. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 88821] META CHARSET support for CALC HTML import
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=88821 --- Comment #26 from Jan Holesovsky--- When investigating this bug, it turned out that the problem from comment 25 has a different root cause than the problem from comment 1. The problem from comment 1 is just a missing support for . The problem from comment 25 is deeper - turns out that the UTF-8 BOM (Byte Order Mark) is confusing the setting of the text converter that is used for the parsing of the file. Either way, I've fixed both these issues: I fixed the BOM handling (for the bug from comment 25), and implemented the support for (comment 1 and comment 2). I'll push the fixes to master shortly. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 103685] SQL... dialog Status: "Commands out of sync" when connecting to MySQL using direct (native) connector
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=103685 --- Comment #1 from Howard Johnson--- While you're at it, this dialog could use a little better status to indicate that it is still working, but slowly. I have a 800 record database with a bunch of fields and a "select * from table;" took so long that I thought LibreOffice had crashed, as it appeared to just hang forever. Later I discovered that it just took a very long time. Then I added this, ""select * from table LIMIT 100;" And/OR you might suggest to add a LIMIT to clue people into the fact that it might be slow on big tables. https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=103685 Bug ID: 103685 Summary: SQL... dialog Status: "Commands out of sync" when connecting to MySQL using direct (native) connector Product: LibreOffice Version: 5.2.2.2 release Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64) OS: Linux (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Base Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: bridgeportcontrac...@gmail.com When connecting to a MySQL database (served by a Mariadb 10.1 server) via the LibreOffice "direct" connector method (i.e. a "Native" connector), the Execute SQL Statement dialog can get confused and get stuck issuing this incorrect Status: "Commands out of sync; you can't run this command now". This occurs only when both of the following are true: * the 'Show output of "select" statements' box is not checked, and * when a query returns results. Connecting via JDBC does not exhibit this bug. In other words, JDBC works where MySQL native is broken. I suspect that what needs to be fixed is to get any results and throw them away when 'Show output of "select" statements' is not checked. This would keep MySQL happy. === How to setup the bug === --- STEP 1 - CONNECTING - File | New | Database. --- Database Wizard [x] Connect to an existing database [MySQL] Next>> [x] Connect directly Next>> Database name: a_database [*] Server/port Server: localhost Port: 3306 Next>> User name root [v] Password required Test connection Ok Next>> --- ..register the database in LibreOffice? https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=70531 Bob Smithchanged: What|Removed |Added CC||bsm...@sudleyplace.com --- Comment #8 from Bob Smith --- I have tested this bug on version 5.2.2.2 and it is substantially the same as before. Moreover, I have a different conclusion from the original bug reporter. For the sake of completeness, I'll repeat the steps to reproduce: 1. Open a PDF file in some other application such as PDF Reader. 2. In LibreOffice Writer, choose from the application menu "File | Export as PDF..." 3. In the "PDF Options" dialog, click on "Export". 4. In the "Export" File Save As dialog, choose an existing file name and click on "Save" so as to trigger a conflict. 5. In the "Confirm Save As" dialog, click on "Yes". 6. The response from LibreOffice is three error dialogs all on the order of "Error saving ..." and the file is not saved. The file reference in Step 1 must be closed and the whole process (Steps 2-5) repeated. Instead of this error, I would prefer to see a "Retry/Cancel" dialog to allow the user to close the file reference in Step 1 above and then Retry the file save. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
