Unfortunately nothing jumps out at me looking at that range of commits...
https://cgit.freedesktop.org/libreoffice/core/log/?qt=range=4b4abb73fcd7f2802e73102b3e7c30face8d309c..33090865c494618f4e528bf5a10aae8c4fc443d1

Steps to Reproduce:
1. tested with Windows builds
1. open an Impress presentation with any graphic (PNG or JPEG did not matter)
2. apply any slide transition from list
3. observe incomplete render sequence

Actual Results:
sequences for the above listed transitions do not complete smoothly with
various failures in rendering. Werid in that the more complex Glitter and
Ripple rendering remain smooth.

Expected Results:
no regression in what have been pretty stable animation effects

Could you (or someone from LanguageTool) supply more detailed requirements?
Preferably to the level of how exactly they'd like the API to change, and also
give reasoning why each of these changes would be important?

I can get behind the idea of being able to specify the color of the underlining
(but then I wonder what other implications there might be, with regards to a11y
for example), but modification of style seems to be very intrusive to the
document.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 103694] New: Rename file without having to save again as a new file.

2016-11-03 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=103694

Bug ID: 103694
Summary: Rename file without having to save again as a new
file.
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: unspecified
  Hardware: All
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: enhancement
  Priority: medium
 Component: framework
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: grac...@gmail.com

Description:
The title pretty much says it. If you want to rename a file from within the
application you'd have to save it under a different name and delete the
original in the OS.

Or close the file and rename the file in the OS itself. Anyways, I kind of find
either way annoying. It'd be great if you could rename the file directly from
the application.

Not hugely urgent, but it'd be a convenient plus.

Thanks for your time!

Actual Results:
You save the file in either of the forms described above.

Expected Results:
It'd be easier if there was some direct workaround without the intermediate
steps cited above.

But the issue is with all functions, with any function on SUM:E3, changing the
value on SUM:B3, formula on SUM:E3 it's not updated with Autocalculate or F9,
needs a hard recalc to update.

But if the end of the function's range it's not SUM:B3 it updates.

On the new sample file, changing SUM:B3 only updates one of the formulas.

   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.2.2.2 release
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal

 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org

Description:
When a file with comments is exported as PDF the comments are correctly
presented in margins BUT the places in the text commented upon are covered with
small rectangles with lines inside. These ugly rectangles disappear when the
same file is printed as PDF.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create a file with three lines (see the file "comments.odt)
2. Create two comments, in the second and third line of the file.
3. Export the file as PDF. The result: "comments.pdf" -- the "ugly" file.
4. Print the same file using "save as PDF". The result: "correct comments.pdf".

When investigating this bug, it turned out that the problem from comment 25 has
a different root cause than the problem from comment 1.

The problem from comment 1 is just a missing support for .

The problem from comment 25 is deeper - turns out that the UTF-8 BOM (Byte
Order Mark) is confusing the setting of the text converter that is used for the
parsing of the file.

Either way, I've fixed both these issues: I fixed the BOM handling (for the bug
from comment 25), and implemented the support for (comment
1 and comment 2).

I'll push the fixes to master shortly.

Embedded OLE-Object like "LibreOffice 5.2 Drawing" are (mostly) not printed.
The example document contains 7 of these objects and some of them are labeled

I tried to export the document to pdf in various ways and sometimes some of the

Expected result:

Could someone improve LibreOffice's API in order for LanguageTool to be able to
suggest underlining colours and also change the style of the text (italic)?

"We're limited by the LibreOffice API. It only takes the information of the
error position, we cannot specify a color there, neither for the underline nor
for the background." (Daniel, LanguageTool)

Thanks!

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 103685] SQL... dialog Status: "Commands out of sync" when connecting to MySQL using direct (native) connector

2016-11-03 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=103685

While you're at it, this dialog could use a little better status to indicate
that it is still working, but slowly. I have a 800 record database with a
bunch of fields and a "select * from table;" took so long that I thought
LibreOffice had crashed, as it appeared to just hang forever.

Later I discovered that it just took a very long time. Then I added this,
""select * from table LIMIT 100;"

And/OR you might suggest to add a LIMIT to clue people into the fact that it
might be slow on big tables.

Thanks!

2016-11-03 Thread bugzilla-daemon

Bug ID: 103685
Summary: SQL... dialog Status: "Commands out of sync" when
connecting to MySQL using direct (native) connector
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.2.2.2 release
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Base
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: bridgeportcontrac...@gmail.com

When connecting to a MySQL database (served by a Mariadb 10.1 server) via the
LibreOffice "direct" connector method (i.e. a "Native" connector), the Execute
SQL Statement dialog can get confused and get stuck issuing this incorrect
Status:

"Commands out of sync; you can't run this command now".

This occurs only when both of the following are true:

* the 'Show output of "select" statements' box is not checked, and
* when a query returns results.

Connecting via JDBC does not exhibit this bug. In other words, JDBC works
where MySQL native is broken.

I suspect that what needs to be fixed is to get any results and throw them away
when 'Show output of "select" statements' is not checked. This would keep
MySQL happy.

I have tested this bug on version 5.2.2.2 and it is substantially the same as
before. Moreover, I have a different conclusion from the original bug
reporter. For the sake of completeness, I'll repeat the steps to reproduce:

1. Open a PDF file in some other application such as PDF Reader.

2. In LibreOffice Writer, choose from the application menu
"File | Export as PDF..."

3. In the "PDF Options" dialog, click on "Export".

4. In the "Export" File Save As dialog, choose an existing file name
and click on "Save" so as to trigger a conflict.

5. In the "Confirm Save As" dialog, click on "Yes".

6. The response from LibreOffice is three error dialogs all on the order of
"Error saving ..." and the file is not saved. The file reference in
Step 1 must be closed and the whole process (Steps 2-5) repeated.

Instead of this error, I would prefer to see a "Retry/Cancel" dialog to allow
the
user to close the file reference in Step 1 above and then Retry the file save.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 103683] New: PDF export mediabox trimbox cropbox bleedbox artbox

2016-11-03 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=103683

Bug ID: 103683
Summary: PDF export mediabox trimbox cropbox bleedbox artbox
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.2.2.2 release
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: enhancement
  Priority: medium
 Component: Draw
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: walter.ni...@gmail.com

Hi,

i would like to do Desktop publishing with LibreOffice Draw.
PDF product is visually correct, but when i send to the printers, it lacks
differentes boxes : mediabox, trimbox, bleedbox and artbox.

Is it possible to have a layer to visualize the different boxes and tabs to
define in the properties of the page.

With these improvements, it would be possible to produce a document ready for
printing.

thank you for your work.

I verified the exactly same behavior (crash) with the very same error
(segmentation fault) on a different machine of almost the same model, but
without any previous installations of either LO or Java. See attachment.
