[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 45550] FILESAVE: turning of text / objects not retained when saving as ppt or pptx

2016-11-08 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=45550

The problem is still there :
I have followed the original instructions, but additionally I have also turned
texte and shape by 45 degrees and also by 180 degrees (that is upside down. The
results are as following :

 * saving adn reopening wiht odp : all stays the same
 * saving as ppt and reopening with Libreoffice : the text turned 90° is now
upside down, the shape with text turned 90° is correct; Text and shape turned
45° are correct; text and shape upside down are correct
  * saving as pptx and reopening in Libreoffice : 90° and 45° turned text and
shape with text are OK, text and shape with text upside down are still upside
down, but not at the correct position but shifted to the right

So for some reason it depends on how much a text / shape with text is turned to
get a change when saving as ppt or pptx.
I have attached the example files

I know, sorry but the point is that small changes have been made that are very
good but contrast a lot with the classic colors of LibreOffice. I personally
use a scheme based on Tango palette that works very well, but I am not a
designer to do anything more than based on a preset color palette. On the other
hand, there are elements that can not be customized by the user, such as the
guides mentioned in the other bug.

They think the hyphenation character can bu transformed or repositioned via
OpenType 'jstf' table, but LibreOffice have no way to do.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 103693] Ugly presentation of comments when exporting as PDF

2016-11-08 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=103693

"So I think the "export comments" option in the PDF-export causes some
confusion and might be renamed."

I completely agree. This is an example of feature interaction...

I think that enabled "print comments in margin" in preferences takes care of
the need to correctly export comments in PDF; and that the rectangles in this
case are not needed at all.

Thus, if "print comments in margin" is enabled in preferences there is no need
even to look at the corresponding option in the PDF export options: it has
already been properly set. Therefore I think that in this case such an option
should not be available.

Great, now we know the issue is caused by OpenGL acceleration. Having it turned
off should be absolutely fine, the only drawback is slower UI if there are many
and/or large images in the document. That might actually be relevant, but you
can judge if it's significantly slower for you now, or workable.

There are two additional steps that would be interesting:
-as there aren't going to be further updates to version 5.1, test in 5.2 (5.2.3
is the current release at the moment) to see if the bug is still there,
-if the issue still occurs, the wiki page mentions an /cache/opengl_device.log file containing information on the graphics
device, attaching it to the bug report could help us finding an environment
where the bug is reproducible.

If you could do that sometimes in the future, that'd be appreciated.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 103796] New: (FILEOPEN) Chart are not displayed when importing a WPS Spreadsheet (.et) files

2016-11-08 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=103796

Bug ID: 103796
Summary: (FILEOPEN) Chart are not displayed when importing a
WPS Spreadsheet (.et) files
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.2.2.2 release
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Calc
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: haevalen...@gmail.com

Description:
I'm assuming that LibreOffice supports importing WPS Office files, since most
of the time it works perfectly.
http://listarchives.documentfoundation.org/www/discuss/msg10161.html

When you try to import a WPS Spreadsheet document in Calc, the chart are not
displayed correctly, unlike Presentation or Text.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open test file with LibreOffice Calc
2. Compare with PDF file
3.

Actual Results:
The chart is not imported correctly.

Expected Results:
The char is imported correctly.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
If this file format is officially supported (.wps, .et and .dps), it would be
nice to see it in the list of supported files in the open file dialog.

I have changed my request now. I dropped the update of libre 4. then updated
now to libre 5. I uninstalled libre 4 but the programs are still on my PC.
the icons still lead to libre 4 and open it in libre 4.

I have to click libre 5 icons seperately to get libre 5 to install.

how do I now uninstall the remnants [the whole program] of libre 4 which CPM
[comodo program management] remove programs did not successfully remove? CPM
and windows remove programs show no trace of libre 4 but the programs are still
there in start menu and still work.

I think libre 4 may be at various locations which CPM could not find. I like
to remove them totally but do not know how as CPM does not show that libre 4 is
on my PC.

Actually this is a more general problem. Start with an unmodified document.
Type something, and the document gets marked as modified. Undo the typing, and
the document is still marked as modified. This would make sense, if the
undo/redo history was saved in the document, but it isn't.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 103786] Knowing the product version via Registry query

2016-11-08 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=103786

V Stuart Foote changed:

   What|Removed |Added

 Status|UNCONFIRMED |RESOLVED
 Resolution|--- |WONTFIX

Your interest is of course Windows and working against the MS Windows Registry
data. The project instead works with our internal build IDs (an SHA1 HASH of
the last commit checked out for the build). The update listing accessed via
CURL processed PHP is maintained here:

https://cgit.freedesktop.org/libreoffice/website/tree/check.php?h=update

And, in the LibreOffice installation directory buildID is recorded in the
program/version.ini or resources/versionrc file

=-=-=

So, for your interest you do not need to know version or GUID to query the
installation in Windows registry.

Issue from the command window:
For native 32-bit or 64-bit
reg query "HKLM\Software\The Document Foundation\LibreOffice" /s /v
ProductVersion

For 32-bit run via WOW6432Node
reg query "HKLM\Software\WOW6432Node\The Document Foundation\LibreOffice" /s /v
ProductVersion

You'll see returns for two GUID, the "UpgradeCode"
{4B17E523-5D91-4E69-BD96-7FD81CFA81BB} code, which the project has been holding
fixed. And the GUID for the installed "Product Code", which will have an entry
in HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall key.

Alternatively this can be done from a PowerShell session:

Issue PS command:
gwmi win32_product -filter "vendor='The Document Foundation'"

Here you'll see just the MSI ProductID GUID as the IdentifyingNumber

Easy to script either way.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 103793] New: FORMATTING: Conditional formatting doesn' t respect category of number-format.

2016-11-08 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=103793

Bug ID: 103793
Summary: FORMATTING: Conditional formatting doesn't respect
category of number-format.
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.1.6.2 release
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Calc
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: cyanmyst...@gmx.net

Created attachment 128591
  --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=128591=edit
Demo file, created following the descripted steps.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Create a new spreadsheet.

2. Create a new style (e.g. named "asCurrency"). On tab "numbers" choose
"currency" as category. Further choose a background-color.

3. Create a new style (e.g. named "asDate"). On tab "numbers" choose "date" as
category.

4. Open the dialog for conditional formatting for cell A1.

5. Create a condition with the formula $A$2="D" and link it to the style
"asDate".

6. Create a condition with the formula $A$2<>"D" and link it to the style
"asCurrency".

7. Write a date to cell A1 (e.g. 4.3.).

8. Write "D" to cell A2.

Result:

Switching between to the two examined conditions effects the background-color,
but not the numbers->category. It seems impossible to get a currency format
through changing A1 and A2 values in this state. The value is always either
viewed as date or as plain number.

Expected:

The condition NOT "D" in cell A2 should influence A1s format, including its
numbers->category. In this case A1s value should appear as currency (e.g.
42.433,00 € instead of 04.03.2016).

Variant:

Sometimes it's just the other way around so that the date-format won't appear.

Best regards,
Jan

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 103792] New: FILEOPEN: PPTX: No placeholder text is added to imported , empty title shape.

2016-11-08 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=103792

Bug ID: 103792
Summary: FILEOPEN: PPTX: No placeholder text is added to
imported, empty title shape.
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.3.0.0.alpha1+ Master
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Impress
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: zolnaitamas2...@gmail.com

Description:
When opening a PPTX file defining an empty Title shape on a normal slide, LO
Writer imports the title shape, but does not displays a placeholder text in it,
which makes the shape invisible.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Open attached PPTX file
2.Check the first slide

Actual Results:
I can't see nothing on the first slide in normal view. However the title shape
is there and I can select it if I know where to click.

Expected Results:
Title shape should be visible after import. It should contain the placeholder
text: "Click to add Title" and also should have a dashed border, the same as
empty title shapes used to have.

Reproducible: Always

The word "figyelnek" has good hyphenation in LibreOffice 5.3 but not in

error dialog on attempted 'save as'

5.1.6.2 on Archlinux

'Remote Files' Add Service fails for simple SSH or Windows Shares (smb).
Attempting to define a service for SSH or Windows Shares access to local
network server fails in KDE Frameworks 5.27. This effectively prevents any
meaning use or 'save as' of a libreoffice document to local network locations.

Additionally, attempting to save as Network causes a race condition causing
soffice-bin to take 100% of the CPU while the 'save as' dialog is open.

I have attached screenshots of the error dialog and the top CPU usage.

Sorry, I haven't had time to follow up on this yet (bit stressful time of the
year for us). Coincidentally I have been only using LibreOffice on the Cintiq
display (the way my workplace is set up this is my primary display) or at least
I can't precisely remember if I have seen it happen on the other monitor as
well.

I'll see if I can trigger the bug on either with the other one disconnected.
Just to be clear the bug was triggered using a 'normal' bluetooth touchpad, not
via touch interaction. I'll be working more on our spreadsheets in the next
week or so (hooray for bimonthly tax reports), that should give me sufficient
testing time.

Could confirm the behavior is already there (LO 5.3.0.0alpha1). But don't know,
what you will look for in a database-form with "Find". If you create an
external form in Writer you could activate "Find" - but it doesn't have a look
for any content in a formcontrol.
There are other functions to search through the content of a table, which is
linked to the form. "Find" doesn't work there.
It would be better to show this function is disabled in a form. At this moment
it is a little bit irritating.

2016-11-08 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=95214

--- Comment #4 from rob...@familiegrosskopf.de ---
Nothing changed here. All the same with LO 5.2.3.3 and 5.3.0.0alpha1. Open a
form for editing, not for input data. Close the form: you are asked, if you
will save the changed content. But: Nothing has been changed, no click by the
mouse ...

I see this too, but I thought it was unrelated and was in two minds about
opening a bug report for it. As the console message that is thrown when this
happen talks about "in future versions this will throw an exception", I did
wonder whether we weren't setting ourselves up for a future SIGABRT with this.

@Telesto : perhaps you could open a separate bug report for this ?

Rename of style name not saved to file

Test case attached. Edit drawing. Rectangle at top has style 'air'.
In styles menu or side bar, Modify 'air'.
Change Organizer Name to say 'igw'.
Change the line colour to say green.
Hit OK and changes applied.
The rectangle text has change.
Select rectangle. Double click on 'igw' style. It is applied.
Save the document and exit.
Open document.
The Organizer Name has reverted to 'air' - name change lost.
The line colour change has been kept.
System: linux, Fedora 24, libreoffice-draw-5.1.6.2-1.fc24.x86_64.
