https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=105716 Buovjagachanged: What|Removed |Added Keywords||bibisectRequest, ||filter:xls, regression Status|NEEDINFO|NEW Summary|Very slow saving. Lost all |FILESAVE XLS Saving time |data! Had backup, lost data |regressed about 9x |Twice! | Severity|normal |major --- Comment #3 from Buovjaga --- Thanks, I could reproduce the saving slowness. Over 1 minute in 5.4. About 8 seconds in 5.0.2 I guess by "lost data" you mean the hiding of the rows. In the "Time spent reading" sheet, I was able to "Show Rows" by right-clicking the row section in the left. However, in the "Date finished of each group" and "Fill in white cells" "Show Rows" was not offered in the context menu. With "Notes" and "Noble, is daily desire to grow thereby" I had to use "Show Rows", "Show columns" multiple times to show them. I will create a new report for this problem. If you don't have to interact with Microsoft Office, I recommend using the native .ods format instead of .xls. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 105847] New: SUMIF function gives unexpected / wrong results with custom ranges
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=105847 Bug ID: 105847 Summary: SUMIF function gives unexpected / wrong results with custom ranges Product: LibreOffice Version: 5.2.5.1 release Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64) OS: Linux (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Calc Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: stephane.guil...@member.fsf.org Description: Using the SUMIF() function with a "range" and a "sum_range" that do not use the same row coordinates can give unexpected / erroneous results. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Create a spreadsheet 2. Create a column with values for the test in SUMIF() 3. Create a column with values that will be summed by SUMIF(), i.e. the sum_range 4. Create a formula using SUMIF(), in which the test range and the sum range use different row coordinates (for example, whole column A:A for test range, and partial column B2:B5 for sum range) Actual Results: In most cases, the result given will be unexpected / incorrect. No error is returned. Interesting exception where results are right: when the test range is the only one that is restricted, and starts at the first row. (See rows 4 and 9 in attached document.) Expected Results: - The function should perform the calculation on a restricted range (for example, restrict the test range A:A to A2:A5 if the sum range is B2:B5, or restrict the sum range B:B to B4:B10 if the test range is A4:A10). OR - Return an error code if this is not the expected usage of the function. See in attached document several examples, and a comparison with how the related function SUMIFS() behaves for the same conditions (an error code 502 is returned if the ranges don't match). Not sure if the severity should stay at "Major" or should be changed to "Critical" as it can result silently result in erroneous calculations. Testing on different versions (5.3 branch especially) and on other spreadsheet software would be appreciated. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 105844] New: FILESAVE: Very slow saving compared to 5.2.5
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=105844 Bug ID: 105844 Summary: FILESAVE: Very slow saving compared to 5.2.5 Product: LibreOffice Version: 5.3.0.3 release Hardware: All OS: Windows (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Writer Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: jhertel+bugs.documentfoundation@gmail.com Description: After updating from 5.2.5.1 to 5.3.0.3, saving became much, much slower. So slow that I had to downgrade to 5.2.5.1 again, which solved the problem. In 5.2.5.1, saving is almost instantaneous, i.e. a few hundred milliseconds (the document is small, 20 KB, 7 pages, 1716 characters). In 5.3.0.3, saving takes several seconds, around 5 to 7 seconds before you can actually type again. And as I save frequently while typing (often after each sentence), this stops me in my writing. My computer is a relatively fast i5, with 8 GB RAM and a fast SSD, so the computer or drive is not the culprit. This is also indicated by the fact that downgrading to 5.2.5.1 solved the problem. The document is password protected, if that matters. The problem is so annoying that I had to downgrade to 5.2.5 and will have to stay at that version until the bug has been solved. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open the document. 2. Save it (press Ctrl+S). Actual Results: It takes several seconds before I can type again. Around 5-7 seconds. Expected Results: Saving should be almost instantaneous, 2-300 ms. Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; WOW64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/56.0.2924.87 Safari/537.36 -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 105812] LibreOffice v.5.3.0.3 (Base, Writer, Calc, etc) not recognizing system font configurations on KDE Neon 5.8.5
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=105812 Geo Churachanged: What|Removed |Added Component|Writer |LibreOffice Version|unspecified |5.3.0.3 release OS|other |Linux (All) --- Comment #1 from Geo Chura --- In an effort to resolve this issue I have purged a few lingering components from an older Synaptic install of LO 5.1.4 (from the Neon repos) along with the original SNAP install of LO v 5.3.0.3 and subsequently reinstalled the 5.3.0.3 SNAP from scratch. The bug persists. LO writer & calc only recognize the few fonts in the SNAP fonts folder ... ie Deja, Liberation, etc. None of the other known-good fonts can be accessed from LO. For a premium word processor and page layout application, this is a MAJOR weakness. Out of frustration, prior to my reinstall of the SNAP 5.3.0.3, I downloaded and verified the LO v 5.3.0.3 DEBS direct from Document Foundation. Upon what seemed like a successful install, all system fonts were accessible from both Writer and Calc. BUT ... (and it's a big fat one) the regular DEB install (as reported elsewhere) installed with gaping holes in the toolbar and sidebar panels which see-through to the desktop below. This is insane!! The end result is that the user interface is left with an unrecognizable abstract background pattern in the most critical tool palettes of the applications. Thus, neither of these beautiful new releases seem usable on KDE Neon. Sure hope someone can offer a suggestion soon. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 105839] New: FILESAVE fails to maintain gradient background

All gradient slides open as Black to White Gradient as a default setting. This also failed in the last 5.24 version as well. "Color" and "Hatching" selections save and open properly. "Gradient" is the only one that fails to save properly -- making "Gradient" an unusable choice. Steps to Reproduce: 1.Create a new presentation in Libre Impress 2. Choose a "Gradient" background of any 2 colors (not Black and White) 3. Save file 4. Open file -- the presentation will open as gradient Black and White. Actual Results: The file opened with a gradient background of black and white. Expected Results: Libre Impress should have saved and opened the file to the "Gradient" background parameters chosen and "saved". While processing with GPU enabled, or just with CPU, the image is well formed to canvas--and on print/export. Removing regression as this has clearly been an issue with our OpenGL rendering in VCL when implemented for 4.4.0 =-tested with-= Windows 10 Pro 64-bit en-US nVidia GTX 750Ti w/driver 21.21.13.7270 Version: 5.3.0.3 (x64) Build ID: 7074905676c47b82bbcfbea1aeefc84afe1c50e1 CPU Threads: 8; OS Version: Windows 6.19; UI Render: GL; Layout Engine: new; Locale: en-US (en_US); Calc: group Version: 5.4.0.0.alpha0+ Build ID: 2670ca3fc597decae78499d1397539668eb84e5e CPU Threads: 8; OS Version: Windows 6.19; UI Render: GL; TinderBox: Win-x86@42, Branch:master, Time: 2017-01-31_05:32:46 Locale: en-US (en_US); Calc: CL -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 104252] Embedded EMF/ WMF and SVM images shows text content on screen but not in print or PDF export on Windows (with HW acceleration and GDI, but not with OpenGL)
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=104252 --- Comment #26 from V Stuart Foote--- (In reply to Timur from comment #25) > Stuart, should we mark Bug 103833 also a duplicate? No, I don't think so. As split from bug 77525 --WMF/EMF and SVM graphics are a different graphics stack and/or filter issue of OpenGL, GPU, and CPU processing. Clearly a different issue from the OpenGL handling of the odd sRGB 8/1-bit bilevel PNG (attachment 113502 from bug 89473 and its related bug 103833) that results in black rectangles on document canvas and PDF export. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
