[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 107996] New: FORMATTING: Watermark feature in page style dialog

2017-05-21 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=107996

Bug ID: 107996
Summary: FORMATTING: Watermark feature in page style dialog
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: unspecified
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: enhancement
  Priority: medium
 Component: LibreOffice
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: thomas.le...@gmail.com

Currently Szymon Kłos is implementing an elementary form of a watermark feature
that is available in the TSCP classification toolbar (bug 88774). I don't know
how this feature should be available for a broader user base in the future. But
beside a classification and printing/export feature (e.g. bug 54053), how's
about the idea of implementing the watermark feature into page styles as an own
tab. It could also be accessible via toolbar/sidebar/notebookbar which can open
the watermark tab of the page style dialog.

I haven't found anything about watermarking in the ODF specification (beside a
transparent/pale discussion for draw objects). Would such a feature possible
according to ODF?

Is a watermarking feature even desired in the page dialog?

As far as I remember in Word for example it's not only a print/export feature.
People want to save a watermarking information into the document itself.

Seems like no matter what I do in 1280x1024 mode, LO Impress will take 3-4
seconds to paint both screens on an i7-4core Surfacebook, 16GB RAM. Selecting
either GPU doesn't seem to make a difference (I'm stunned).

Two of the three modes worked in 4K. However the display took 10-11 seconds to
redraw at this resolution in the two working modes.

When running OpenGL, the presenter display on the Surfacebook had a bizarre
moving colored artifact constantly running along a diagonal from the bottom
left corner to the top right. As a presenter display, it was still usable, but
distracting.

Initially i thought to go with Dark Red 3, but it very noticeable around black
text, so i was going back and forth between Dark Red 2 and Dark Red 1, and
decided on Dark Red 1. Also checked up on what others use as the default color
in their font color split button.

This looks like something I can do -- but again, not clear what the current
status is from this log last updated months ago. I will assign to myself and
give it a go.

I'm a new developer looking for a good easyhack to work on -- it is not clear
to me from this comment chain if this bug is resolved or not. The last comment
claims that a resolution is committed but reviewing the gerrit it doesn't seem
to have been merged. Anyone with more information to clarify would be helpful!

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 107995] New: EDITING: An embedded table loses relative width after moving inner border

2017-05-21 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=107995

Bug ID: 107995
Summary: EDITING: An embedded table loses relative width after
moving inner border
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 4.1.0.4 release
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: minor
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: tele...@surfxs.nl

Description:
An embedded table loses relative width when moving the inner border of an
embedded table when editing a document in web layout. It's working fine in
normal view

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open the attached file
2. Check if web view is enabled (View -> Web)
3. Right click the Lime Green table -> Table Properties -> Table Tab
4. Notice that Table width is greyed out. Close the dialog
5. Move the red inner table border to the left or right
6. Right click the Lime Green table -> Table Properties -> Table Tab
7. Notice that the table width is now set to an absolute width
8. Repeat this in Normal View

Actual Results:
The table drops out out of relative mode, when moving the inner border. It
doesn't happen in Normal View

Expected Results:
The table should stay in relative mode

Reproducible: Always

S., if it may help, you can download a "Bitstream Charter package" from this

According to the author, there you will find OTF, TTF and webfonts. The

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 107994] New: UI: Make Ctrl+Home move the cursor to the first non-frozen cell in the sheet

2017-05-21 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=107994

Bug ID: 107994
Summary: UI: Make Ctrl+Home move the cursor to the first
non-frozen cell in the sheet
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.3.3.2 release
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: enhancement
  Priority: medium
 Component: Calc
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: benoit.thebaudeau@gmail.com

Description:
The Ctrl+Home shortcut currently moves the cursor to the first cell in the
sheet (A1). However, if some rows or columns are frozen to be used as headers,
this behavior is not intuitive. One would rather expect the cursor to be moved
to the beginning of the active area, i.e. to the first non-frozen cell, which
is what Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets do.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create a new spreadsheet.
2. Freeze the first row and column.
3. Press Ctrl+Home.

Actual Results:
The cursor is moved to A1.

Expected Results:
The cursor should be moved to B2.

Reproducible: Always

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 107993] New: FORMATTING: Free space filling broken with thousands separator

2017-05-21 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=107993

Bug ID: 107993
Summary: FORMATTING: Free space filling broken with thousands
separator
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.3.3.2 release
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Calc
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: benoit.thebaudeau@gmail.com

Description:
Custom format codes using both the free space filling (*) feature and a
thousands separator fail to fill the free space in the spreadsheet for numbers
with an absolute value greater than or equal to 1000. However, the preview in
the format dialog is correct.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create a new spreadsheet.
2. Enter 1000 in a cell.
3. Open the cell format dialog for this cell.
4. Apply the following format code to the cell, which should left-align the
sign in the cell and use a blank as a thousands separator (Calc set up for
French):
+* # ##0;-* # ##0

Actual Results:
The preview displays [+1 000] as expected, but [+1 000] is
actually displayed in the cell. The square brackets represent the left and
right borders of the cell.

With 999, [+ 999] is displayed in both the preview and the cell as
expected.

Expected Results:
The sign should always be left-aligned:
[+1 000]

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Apparently LO sets 1px = 1/100 mm. For me LO chooses for the original png-image
a size of 8,47cm × 11,22 cm at 120ppi for its 400 pixel × 530 pixel size.

Expected behavior for the jpg image:
 Either
the same same ersatz value is used for the jpg image and dialog fields are
disabled
 or
the dpi value or width or height respectively, which the user sets in the
dialog, is used.

I see this error already in Version: 5.1.6.1

CPU Threads: 4; OS Version: Windows 6.1; UI Render: default;

The image has no dpi set, and uses the same default as the ersatz as the png
image and so shows the same size in Version: 4.5.0.0.alpha0+

@craig, could you please test with the various rendering modes:

CPU only rendering
"Use OpenGL for all rendering"
"Use hardware acceleration"

All three with and without the "Use anti-alaising" enabled.

Setting CPU only is all boxes on Tools -> Options -> View: Graphics Output
unchecked and LO restarted. The "anti-alaising" should toggle enabled/disabled
from the dialog without restart.

Are you affected in all the modes, or as for me, only using the "Use hardware
acceleration" rendering?

OK confirming, now have an external 4K monitor to test against (Samsung MU6300
40"). With 5.3.3.2 running on Windows 10 Home on a Lenovo Ideapad FLEX4
w/Intel i7-7500 and Intel HD Graphics 620 GPU -- native display panel is
1920x1080 at ~141 PPI

HDMI connection to the external defaults to duplicate of the 1920x1080. Setting
the Windows Display Settings shows the desktop mirrored with content scaled
300%.

A presentation in mirrored mode displays scaled on the 4K and the 1080p display
panel--the 4K a bit pixelated.

Using Windows Display settings set "Extend these displays"; and set LO Impress
-> Slide Show -> Slide Show Settings: Multiple Displays Presentation Display
drop list from default Auto -> Display 2 (external); and run presentation. The
slides display, but are notably pixelated from scaling applied (by Windows).

Again with Windows Display Settings, set the 4K display to scale at 100%, and
repeat.

This works correctly with OpenGL rendering, and also with CPU only rendering:
presentation to external 4K is clear and crisp at full 4K resolution as driven
by the Intel GPU

But with "Use Hardware acceleration": the presentation rendered to 4K display
is garbled as OP reports.

Use OpenGL or CPU only rendering and Presentation mode is correctly rendered.

Also, I had the same result on a MS Surface Pro 4 (Intel i7-6650DU w/Iris
Graphics 540) 2736x1824 at ~267 PPI with LO 5.1.1.3; presentation mode renders
garbled with "Use hardware acceleration" but is correct for OpenGL rendering,
or CPU only rendering.

So this seems to be related to the later introduced font rendering issues of
see also bug 107090 (at 5.3), and this behavior of the non-OpenGL hardware
acceleration of the Presentation canvas is a LO issue--at least on Windows
builds.

Curious if folks with HiDPI under Linux builds are having the same issues?

Yes that would need to be a separate bug and do set this bug number in the 'See

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 107991] New: LibreOffice Online throws an SSL Exception

2017-05-21 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=107991

Bug ID: 107991
Summary: LibreOffice Online throws an SSL Exception
   Product: LibreOffice Online
   Version: unspecified
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: LibreOffice
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: cont...@rudloff.pro

Hello,

I have built LibreOffice Online 5.3.3 on Debian 8.8.

It seems to run fine but when I try to edit a document, I get popup saying
"Can't connect to document" and I see this in loolwsd.log:
wsd-16132-16137 0:00:10.477131 [ client_ws_0001 ] ERR Error in client request
handler: SSL Exception| wsd/LOOLWSD.cpp:993

loolwsd uses a valid Let's Encrypt certificate and I don't get any SSL error
elsewhere.

It seems to happen after this WS payload has been received:
statusindicator: ready

The browser then receives a strange payload containing only "é" and then the
connection is closed with a 1001 code.

I don't get any error in the browser console (except for a missing
branding.css).

Hi Yousuf,

I reproduce with
LO 5.4.0.0.alpha1+ Build ID: d89fa2bd4944625e2dbe56d5709a3f126db24f21
CPU threads: 2; OS: Windows 6.1; UI render: default;
TinderBox: Win-x86@39, Branch:master, Time: 2017-05-18_07:09:13
Locale: fr-FR (fr_FR); Calc: CL

Under Windows, a custom color is appied but not if your choice comes from the
color picker. In this case, on reopening the Textbox dialog, background and
border colors are again set to Automatic. Does this have to be separately
reported?

I have used:
1. JPG Quality 90: Reduced image resolution checked set to width 400px,
height 529 px and resolution 96 PPI (screen dimensions 10,58x14.00 cm)
2. JPG Quality 90 without reduced image resolution checked
both with same result; a very small image with an apparent dimensions of 0,40
cm x 0,53 cm at 2500 PPI

No issues with the png compression

Telesto: What kind of compression do you use? Which settings do you have made
in the dialog?
The embedded image has no dpi information, therefore there exist no "original
size" because the size of the pixels is unknown. If you click on "Original
size" in step 2, LibreOffice uses an ersatz, likely your screen resolution.
Calculate the dpi and use the same dpi in the compression dialog.

I think I will do a callgrind trace of this today:

If you want to help in general, we have a chronic lack of bug triagers. We

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 107990] New: UNO command for non-split paste button

2017-05-21 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=107990

Bug ID: 107990
Summary: UNO command for non-split paste button
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.4.0.0.alpha1+ Master
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: enhancement
  Priority: medium
 Component: LibreOffice
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: philip...@hotmail.com
CC: momonas...@gmail.com
Blocks: 86899, 103239

Similar to bug 101672 and having an non-split button uno command for the paste
command (.uno:Paste) would be beneficial when space is constraint.

@Maxim: Would it be possible to make it easy to create non-split versions of
split buttons with the alias command, rather than having to manually create
each individual non-split command?

The www.libreoffice.org is the English-language domain. The localized ones are
the de.libreoffice.org, it.libreoffice.org, etc., which also appear first on a
respective localized search (Google).

So, the issue is the lack of an automatic re-direct to the locale-specific
sub-domain? I'm not sure if that's an issue though. I personally prefer to be
able to control the display language myself (e.g., when browsing on someone
else's PC).

Maybe a language (e.g., via a flag icon) selector could be added to the website
for those who accidentally end up on the wrong locale sub-domain (e.g.,
browsing on someone else's PC as well)?

Anyway, since this affects the infrastructure, not LO itself, it's something
for the Redmine (https://redmine.documentfoundation.org/), not Bugzilla.
