after rename to tdf106217.pptx it's OK. Could you check it?

I apologize for the old version. This is just what is being push updated
through Ubuntu (14.04) software updates. I don't think anything from version 5
was pushed through, nor is it found on the Ubuntu Software store, which may be
another issue to be solved unless I'm just doing it wrong. I'm relatively new
to linux-based systems.

I'll manually install it and let you know shortly.

bibisect output in 42max repo

Working on debian-stretch in the bibisect-42max repository, I see that
the slowness entered LO somewhere in the 43 commits to master ...

  commits-h

good 690230ca ac84ffb3
bad 8e7bade4 4c99a427

The fast deletions of column B took 4 to 7 CPU seconds; the slow
deletions which I let run to completion took 8 and a fraction CPU
minutes.

I am setting keyword bibisected and removing bibisectRequest.

I reproduce the problem easily under Windows 10 with LibreOffice writer 5.3.3.2
by copying directly from Chrome the following image

document.

This problem only occurs under Windows. On Linux Ubuntu 16.04 LTS, LibreOffice
writer 5.3.3.2, the problem does not occur.

swap memory than in the original post and libreoffice 5.2.5.1 compiles fine.

I guess it will work with the latest version of LibreOffice.
So, you can safely change the status of this bug to resolved.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 108514] New: Start of week (day) does not change with locale settings , or adhere to ISO standard

2017-06-13 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=108514

Bug ID: 108514
Summary: Start of week (day) does not change with locale
settings, or adhere to ISO standard
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.2.7.2 release
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Calc
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: lutra...@runbox.com

Description:
Sunday is considered "first day of the week" by LibreOffice (with Saturday as
day 7), regardless of Locale settings or international standard.
I.e. LO have defined week to be [Sunday --> Saturday], instead of [Monday -->
Sunday]

My Locale (Norwegian, Norway) have Monday (1) as first day of the week, and
Sunday as last (7), in accordance with international standard (specifically ISO
8601).

When I use either 'weeknum()' or 'weekday()' on a Sunday, it will be
displayed/defined as the same weeknumber as the following monday, and
weekday=1, repectively.

This also applies when I use conditinoal formatting to highlight dates:
[Date is --> This week --> Apply XYZ formatting]. This is demonstrated in the
attached screenshot.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Add a date to cell (sunday): A1 =11.06.2017
2. Cell B1 =weekday(A1) --> output: 1
3. Same for Saturday, but output as day 7

Actual Results:
Sunday is output as First Day of the Week (1).
Saturday is output as Last Day of the Week (7).

Expected Results:
Monday should be considered First Day of the Week (1).
Sunday should be considered Last Day of the Week (7).

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
I've tried changing Locale settings around, but nothing works.
I've tested/checked this bug to be true for maxOS, Linux, and Windows.

It happens to me as well, and I have to remark that CMD+O should be the
shortcut to Open a file, but it causes the crash too.

So there could be a mistake on the shortcut (leading to Help instead of Opening
file) or the file opening crashes too.

Versione: 5.3.3.2
Build ID: 3d9a8b4b4e538a85e0782bd6c2d430bafe583448

layout: nuovo;
Versione locale: it-IT (it.UTF-8); Calc: group

Moreover, I tried to get this data (LO Version) from the Start Center and it
didn't work too. I had to open Writer to have such a dialog.
The result in this case is just nothing: when hitting on "Info on LibreOffice"
from "LibreOffice" menu bithing happens.
The same with LO started with no window shown (as known, it's a MacOs
peculiarity to have apps open with no existing windows).

Should I open a different Bug for this?

Finally I can confirm also the crash when trying to start a new document from a
template, in no window shown mode.

I hope those info may help to fix this awful crash.

Two more behaviors regarding this bug/bug-set, and one comment.

3. An edit to set format/paragraph/text flow attributes, particularly "do not
split paragraph" works fine in an unsaved large document. It fails, though, in
a document already saved and reloaded.

4. Near the beginning of a reopened document, a large block of paragraphs can
be reset to the correct "text flow" formatting. Further down in the document,
only a few paragraphs can be successfully reset.

I saved one of my problem documents in .odt format. This did not help. All
observed problem behaviors still existed.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 108511] New: FILESAVE FILEOPEN): Format/Paragraph/ Text Flow differs on file open from what saved as .docx

2017-06-13 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=108511

Bug ID: 108511
Summary: FILESAVE FILEOPEN): Format/Paragraph/Text Flow differs
on file open from what saved as .docx
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.2.7.2 release
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: bradley.calca...@gmail.com

In large documents saved as .docx (~0.7MB+), the formatting differs when
reopened from what existed at save time. Specifically:

Format/Paragraph/Text Flow
just before FileSave:
HYPHENATION
 [on] Automatically
[3] Characters at line end
[3] Characters at line beginning
OPTIONS
 [off] Do not split paragraph
 [off] Keep with next paragraph
 [on] Orphan Control
 [on] Widow Control

After Close-app open-app, FileOpen
HYPHENATION
 [mixed] Automatically
[2] Characters at line end
[2] Characters at line beginning
OPTIONS
[see note] Do not split paragraph
 [mixed] Keep with next paragraph
 [mixed] Orphan Control
 [mixed] Widow Control

Upon examining individual paragraphs, it appeared that settings were frequently
correct on paragraphs early in the document, but usually wrong on later
paragraphs in the document.
Specifically,
OPTIONS
 [on] Do not split paragraph
[mixed] Keep with next paragraph (but usually [on])

11. Open the document again. Repeat steps

Saving steps are not a hard requirement
Other opinions with the same effect
1. Playing with default styles
2. Remove formatting all formatting
3. Superscript

Every steps adding up to quite some memory usage. Only repeating steps above 2
or 3 times creates a memory usage of 500 mb.

No repro on Windows.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 108510] New: Imported .doc file renders characters near endnotes uneditable

2017-06-13 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=108510

Bug ID: 108510
Summary: Imported .doc file renders characters near endnotes
uneditable
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 4.2.8.2 release
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: a22bra...@gmail.com

Description:
When I open a .doc file with endnotes (for a citations list at the end), those
characters are not editable, giving me the message: Readonly content cannot be
changed. Modifications will not be accepted.
In addition, the two neighboring characters are also listed as read-only; I
cannot add delete a character that comes after the endnote nor can I add or
delete a character before one.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open MS Word .doc file with endnotes.
2. Attempt to modify, delete, or insert any character near one of these
endnotes.

Actual Results:
I cannot change nearby characters or delete the endnote.

Expected Results:
I should be able to at least change nearby characters even if the endnote is
readonly.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
I am unsure if this has to do with the fact that the document also already has
“Record changes” data in it from MS Word. I do not have other documents that
are not in the process of being proofread to test this.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 108509] New: Formatting: Format/Paragraph/ Text Flow changes only partially successful in large .docx documents

2017-06-13 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=108509

Bug ID: 108509
Summary: Formatting: Format/Paragraph/Text Flow changes only
partially successful in large .docx documents
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.2.7.2 release
  Hardware: x86 (IA32)
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: bradley.calca...@gmail.com

Selected 95% of a large document (.9 meg) and tried to change formatting to
[off] Do not split paragraph
[off] Keep with next paragraph
[on] Orphan Control
[on] Widow control

1.a The change was implemented for (loosely) the first half of the document.
"Do not split document" returned to [on] for much of the remainder.
1.b Also, when attempting to format small pieces of the unchanged half to the
same above settings, it would work unreliably (usually not work), except when a
single paragraph was selected.
2. When "Keep with next paragraph" was set to [off] for a single paragraph, it
appeared to be implemented as if it meant *Keep with prior paragraph*.
When "Keep with next paragraph" was set to [off] for one paragraph, the
rule-implemented page break would disappear between the changed paragraph and
the prior paragraph, not between the changed paragraph and the next paragraph.

I cannot add the document as an attachment, because it is copywrited material
that I am working to proof-read. Apologies.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 108263] Strange Comment behavior when moving or copying sheet from one Calc document to another

2017-06-13 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=108263

I downloaded LibreOffice 5.3.3.2 (Build ID:
3d9a8b4b4e538a85e0782bd6c2d430bafe583448) - same behaviour.
(In reply to Buovjaga from comment #7)
> (In reply to Robert Monnier from comment #6)
> > (In reply to Alex Thurgood from comment #5)
> > > Please also indicate which version of macOS you are using.
> >

>
> Did you try with LibreOffice 5.3.3?

I downloaded version 5.3.3.2 and repeated the steps with the same results using
the original file.

(Build ID: 3d9a8b4b4e538a85e0782bd6c2d430bafe583448)

A few more trials :

Trial A
A1. Created a new spreadsheet document, single sheet.
A2. Entered a comment in cell B4. Made comment visible (Show comment)
A3. Document is NOT SAVED.
A4. Control-click on sheet tab - Move or Copy sheet ...
A5. (Copy by default, as it's a single sheet ?)
A6. - new document -
A7. Comment is NOT duplicated.

Same steps but saved the document, closed and reopened : comment duplicated

Trial B
B1. Created a new spreadsheet document, single sheet.
B2. Entered a comment in cell B4. Made comment visible (Show comment)
B3. Saved the spreadsheet document, closed the document, reopened the document.
B4. Control-click on sheet tab - Move or Copy sheet ...
B5. (Copy by default, as it's a single sheet ?)
B6. - new document -
B7. COMMENT IS DUPLICATED.

Both comments are stacked, but it is visible that there are 2 arrows (it seems
to point to 2 different cells, B3 and A1). Click selecting and moving the top
comment moves the DUPLICATE comment.

Arrow of original comment points to red dot at top right corner of cell B4.
Arrow of DUPLICATED comment points to top left corner of cell A1. If DUPLICATE
comment selected, a green dot appears to top left of cell A1, Ctrl Click opens
menu, but no possibility to erase DUPLICATE comment.

So it seems this happens from a file that has been saved, and reopened. I don't
know if this is helpful. It it can be useful that I do more trials, let me
know.

Again, if comment is not MADE VISIBLE before saving, it is not duplicated.

If repeating the steps of Trial B but not making comment visible, the comment
is not duplicated.

Thanks for the quick response Xisco!

This is the latest Ubuntu-16.04-LTS provided version.
I'd build the 5.3.3 branch of the code on Thursday Jun 15 2017 and update new
findings here. In case that variant doesn't reproduce this issue, shouldn't it
be still valid for the version reported?

I am leaving the 'Status' as is until then

4. Right Click -> Page -> Area Tab -> Bitmap- Select bitmap and press OK
(bitmap is zoomed in 176% / 176%. )
5. Right Click -> Page -> Area Tab -> Pattern - Select a pattern. The pattern

A more effective way to reproduce

Impress
1. Open Impress
2. Select the Focus Template
3. Save the file
4. Choose File -> reload (and keep repeating reload; memory usage will steadily
increase)
5. Close the document and go back to the start center (notice that it has no
effect on the memory usage)

Writer
1. Open Writer
2. Right Click -> Page
3. Area tab -> Bitmap
4. Choose Roses
5. Save the file
6. Choose File -> reload (and keep repeating reload; memory usage will
steadily increase)
