As the document is parsed > for opening from the Start Center, or from system file manager--as the > document frame opens there is a load progress bar rendered on the status bar > labeled "Loading document..." The label isnt consistent across apps (bug 108706) and sometimes doesnt show (bug 108707). > Normally it flashes up so quickly, you won't notice it. I had to dummy up a > 800 page document to show it long enough during normal loads. Yes most users wont notice the progress bar unless it is a large/complex file or if the loading process has stalled. > Question would be if that status/progress bar does "hang", or could be made > to do so, and if we can extend it with a button widget to abort the loading > of a hung document. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 108641] Bibliography does not pick up added entries from the database
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=108641 --- Comment #9 from Ben--- Julien, I'm merely trying to create a Bibliography at the end of a book which I'm trying to complete. To give you a better sense of the history: 1. I started out with a set of references of which I put the information in the database by using tools->bibliography. 2. Added references in the document to entries in the database. 3. Generated the Bibliography in the document. All might have been ok at this point (not entirely sure). 4. Added new elements in the database using tools->bibliography. 5. Generated the Bibliography in the document again. I think it was at this point where information was not included in the document, although it appear in the database view of tools->bibliography. I may have used the database directly at a much after that when I noticed that the Bibliography did not get fully updated when using tools->bibliography. I don't know how to get out of this state since I the explanation under the link you provided was not entirely clear to me. Any suggestions would be welcome to get out of this state so that I can finish my work. BTW, I recall that I reported this issue several years ago and other people had similar issues. I don't know it the issue got lost with the transition form OO to LO or it was deemed to be resolved. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 108696] Add PDF type/quality drop down menu list to PDF export dialog
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=108696 --- Comment #3 from V Stuart Foote--- @Jay, not so sure we need or want to do this and that the current behavior is best. And that to control the configuration of the PDF use the menu entry, to take defaults (or current configuration) use the Export button. The Toolbar button is linked to ".uno:ExportDirectToPDF" [1] and gets description from help as: "Exports the current document directly as PDF. No settings dialog is shown." [2] It opens an OS or LO native dialog "Export" with just the "PDF - Portable Document Format (.pdf)" filter. +SID_DIRECTEXPORTDOCASPDF,6674,.uno:ExportDirectToPDF While the Menu entry is linked to ".uno:ExportToPDF" no description, that opens the "PDF Options" dialog for configuration of the export filter, and then on export sends via the same OS or Native Export dialog with limited droplist. Intentionally not passing through the dialog, believe we take the configuration of the last PDF export. +SID_EXPORTDOCASPDF,6673,.uno:ExportToPDF Point is, the Toolbar button is "intended" to be streamlined, while the menu entry is intended to provide full configuration. =-ref-= http://opengrok.libreoffice.org/xref/core/officecfg/registry/data/org/openoffice/Office/UI/GenericCommands.xcu#4833 http://opengrok.libreoffice.org/xref/core/officecfg/registry/data/org/openoffice/Office/UI/GenericCommands.xcu#4819 http://opengrok.libreoffice.org/xref/core/sfx2/sdi/sfx.sdi#4729 http://opengrok.libreoffice.org/xref/help/source/text/shared/02/0709.xhp#38 -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 108600] Inconsistent background color painting
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=108600 Regina Henschelchanged: What|Removed |Added CC||rb.hensc...@t-online.de --- Comment #3 from Regina Henschel --- In the second case the rendering is wrong. A margin is _always_ transparent. The wrong behavior has been introduced long time ago in OOo, when it was not possible to have a padding without border line. But in the meantime LO has implemented a padding without border line, so that now users can get the desired effect by setting the margin to 0 and increasing the padding. Similar problems are already handled in bug 106021 and bug 39756. Nevertheless it is a question, how to make the UI, so that users get the desired effect of continues color and at the same time follow ODF. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
