[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 112062] Palettes: Spelling gray and grey in different palettes
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=112062 --- Comment #2 from Gabor Kelemen --- Also, I'm a bit worried about the breeze palette, that comes from KDE: https://community.kde.org/KDE_Visual_Design_Group/HIG/Color and they are also using the British spelling. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 112064] New: FORMATTING Multiple footnotes per line in the footer, rather than the default one footnote per line.
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=112064 Bug ID: 112064 Summary: FORMATTING Multiple footnotes per line in the footer, rather than the default one footnote per line. Product: LibreOffice Version: unspecified Hardware: All OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: enhancement Priority: medium Component: Writer Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: saqer.alma...@gmail.com Description: LO formats footnotes to be separated in a way that there's one footnote per line. This leaves plenty of whitespace on a page when the footnotes are extremely brief but numerous. I'd like to separate footnotes by tabs (so that we can have 2, 3, or 4 footnotes per line). I haven't found other workarounds to do this. Steps to Reproduce: 1 Insert footnotes in any text. 2 Footnotes appear in the footer. 3 No option to change the formatting of the footnotes to have multiple on one line. Actual Results: Each footnote by default appears separate on its own line. Expected Results: Each footnote can be adjusted to be included with other footnotes on the same line. Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: Additional Info: I am aware that this is possible using LaTeX (https://tex.stackexchange.com/questions/28736/footnotes-on-the-same-line). [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 111847] Difficult to access "Text..." in context menu of a shape
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=111847 --- Comment #3 from rot_...@yahoo.de --- Thank you for your explanation and suggestion. What I don't understand: If the context menu was overloaded, why has the option to modify a property of the selected shape been removed and at the same time an option to modify properties of a style that potentially applies to many shapes has been kept? It took me quite some time to figure out that LO even has an option to assign custom text properties that are not contained in a style. System Linux Mageia 6, Desktop KDE Reproduced on two machines To reproduce: menu Tools → Macros → Organize Macros → LibreOffice Basic → Press Button "Organizer" → Select Tab "Libraries" → Press Button "Export" after having selected a suitable library for export (not Standard!) → Choose option "Export as extension" → file selection dialog pops up but accepts no input. Same happens when you choose "Export as BASIC library". Workaround: Press key ESCAPE once. As a result the blocking of the dialog is removed and everything works normal. Confirming with sample presentation attachment 135677, The pixel artifacts are present with Hardware Acceleration, absent with OpenGL and CPU only rendering, that text rendering issue is bug 107090 Weird, as handling of the transparency of the Text box animation is correct with HA, but goes opaque with CPU only or with OpenGL rendering. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 112057] Clarify what Cell Edit Mode in Calc means

Let me put my user hat on. For me, Edit mode is enabled, when the cursor starts to blink. When I exit Edit mode, the cursor stops blinking. Today is the first time I have heard about a mysterious third state, where the cursor is blinking, but I am not in The Officially Approved Edit mode. It does explain the awkwardness of starting to edit by typing in Calc which I've always wondered about.. To make things even more wonderful, have a try using the menu Edit - Cell Edit Mode. It doesn't toggle anything: it just keeps re-enabling the Edit mode. I tried hunting for documentation on this quirky Cell Edit Mode. This does not even mention it: https://help.libreoffice.org/Calc/Edit I downloaded Calc 4.1 guide. It has this in the Input settings section: Press Enter to switch to edit mode Specifies that pressing Enter puts the selected cell into edit mode. To end Edit mode and move the cursor in the desired direction, press Enter again. So the Calc guide seems to agree with my simple user logic where Edit mode == blinking cursor.. There is nothing further in the guide about edit mode, besides the information copied from the help section "Function Keys Used in Spreadsheets" Thus: we need documentation which distinguishes starting to edit by typing and starting to edit by double-clicking/F2/Edit - Cell Edit Mode. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=35550 eisa01 changed: What|Removed |Added CC||eis...@gmail.com See Also||https://bugs.documentfounda ||tion.org/show_bug.cgi?id=53 ||965 --- Comment #17 from eisa01 --- I had a look at this bug To press cmd+` on the Norwegian keyboard layout, I actually have to press shift+´ to send the ` button. That means the actual shortcut I have to press cmd+shift+´ to cycle windows. As described then it doesn't work to cycle backwards. However, when testing in TextEdit I get the exact same behaviour as in LibreOffice, I can't cycle backwards either, so this would indicate an upstream bug Switching to a saner key such as cmd+' (' is above tab) does let me cycle through the windows both ways when pressing shift However, I also wanted to check how this was on US keyboard layouts, as cmd+` is supposedly the default there as well, and has a much saner position right next to the left shift button. Then it doesn't work in LibreOffice, while TextEdit works, so there still seems to be a bug here Version: 5.4.0.3 Build ID: 7556cbc6811c9d992f4064ab9287069087d7f62c CPU threads: 2; OS: Mac OS X 10.12.6; UI render: default; Locale: en-US (en_US.UTF-8); Calc: group -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

Thank you for the bug report. My steps to reproduce: 1/ open a new Draw document 2/ setup Draw to use mm as unit : tools > Options > LibreOffice Draw > General -> unit of measurement 3 setup Draw to use the sidebar 4/ set the page size to A0 landscape in order to have page width > 1000 mm 5/ draw a rectangle almost as large as the page -> you can see its width in the sidebar, something like 1 159,00 mm 6/ click in this field in the sidebar, then ctrl+A and backspace to erase its content, then start to typing : 1, 2, 3, until then nothing remarkable, then type 4 : the thousand separator is inserted just after the 1 and the cursor becomes positioned after the 3 instead of the 4. So if you continue typing, you insert characters between the 3 and 4 instead of after the 4. That is the bug. 7/ now move the cursor just after the 4, between the 4 and the decimal separator and press backspace the remove the 4 -> the thousand separator is removed but the cursor is positioned after the decimal separator. That is the other manifestation of the bug. As said in comment #5 we do not see this behavior in the page format dialog if you change the page width (you can go up to 3000 mm). Setting as NEW. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 112042] idxf import filter not handling some text
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=112042 --- Comment #10 from V Stuart Foote --- (In reply to Mike Kaganski from comment #8) > The dimensions in AutoCad drawings don't have their readings recorded in the > file. Their readings are created at runtime based on the measurement, and > formatted according to rules stored in dimension text (e.g., the text may > simply override the measurement and output only static text, or pre-or > postpone the measurement with static texts). The value measured may be taken > in 3D, or in 2D based in current viewport. The problem is seen in IrfanView > and CorelDraw, which ignore all customizations of the measurement formatting > and try to calculate the values themselves. > > I am not sure that what IrfanView (CorelDraw) do is any better than what > Draw does. OK makes sense. And guess that means what shows as text in Draw must be present as static text in the DXF or it would not be rendered. Would expect annotation to be static, but most dimensioning in a CAD file would be intentionally dynamic and only have place holders. Which seems to be true with the drawing file from comment 0 opened into AutoDesk. So, can we do better with the dimensioning/dynamic text or is it a lost cause that should just be noted in help for the filter? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 81350] FILEOPEN: XLSX file: boolean values imported wrongly, consecutive values hidden
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=81350 --- Comment #8 from IagoSRL --- Hi, Sorry to don't answer to previous requests of re-testing. As seen at the related bug #86456, the problem of 'hidden values' at consecutive rows with same value seems solved at version 5.4.0.3 (x64) Windows 7 SP1. From about me dialog: Build ID: 7556cbc6811c9d992f4064ab9287069087d7f62c CPU threads: 4; SO: Windows 6.1; UI render: default; Locale: es-ES (es_ES); Calc: group. I tested both the files I originally attached and the two files attached at #86456, and just like eisa01 commented there 'shows 0/1 with =FALSE()/TRUE(), so this may just be a presentation issue now?' Current fix is a good step forward, though. And yes, the bug #86456 and this older seems the same. But about the bug https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=70565 , don't know exactly what has fixed, but it seems a formatting bug still exist here. Steps to reproduce: - At Excel 2007 - New document, at different rows type values 'TRUE' and 'FALSE'. - Save as XLSX - Open In LibreOffice - It displays 1, 0 - Note: the formula bar at LibreOffice says =TRUE() , =FALSE() while at Excel still says TRUE , FALSE. - Additionally: if at Excel we type '=TRUE' and '=FALSE' (adding the equals sign), it displays the same both at Excel and LibreOffice, but LibreOffice shows at the formula bar =1 , =0 on this case. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

This is different compared to MS Word or Google Docs and at least unexpect and more or less illogical: why should I use start a Word in the formatting used at the ending of the previous one? The textbox variant behaves a little bit better (bit is also inconsistent) Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open the attached file 2. Select 'AAABBB' and replace it. Bold formatting will be lost 3. Select 'AAACCC' and replace it. Notice that the formatting will be pink, cursive and bold 4. Select 'AAADDD ' including the spacing). Start typing: text will be green 5. Repeat step for the textbox variant; notice a different behavior Actual Results: The formatting at the ending of a Word is used, not that of the beginning Expected Results: Use the formatting at the beginning of the replaced Word.
