[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 114998] New: Externally Linked Data does not update when pressing F9

2018-01-13 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=114998

Bug ID: 114998
Summary: Externally Linked Data does not update when pressing
F9
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.4.4.2 release
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Calc
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: ddascalescu+freedesk...@gmail.com

Pressing F9 on a cell with a =WEBSERVICE formula, fetches new data from the URL
and recalculates (https://help.libreoffice.org/Calc/Recalculate).

Pressing F9 should also update data inserted via Sheet -> Link to External
Data.

As a first step to making this possible, it would help if the linked data were
visible to the user - see bug 114997.

I'm surprised CSV imports don't work, but HTML ones do. The CSV format is far
simpler than HTML. How did these two get prioritized?

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 114997] New: No visual indication as to where Linked External Data was imported

2018-01-13 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=114997

Bug ID: 114997
Summary: No visual indication as to where Linked External Data
was imported
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.4.4.2 release
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Calc
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: ddascalescu+freedesk...@gmail.com

Description:
Once the user manages to Link External Data (a non-trivial task, see bug
114994, bug 114995, bug 114996, and finally bug 100993), there is no way to
tell what ranges of the sheet have imported data.

This means the user can inadvertently edit data in a cell that's part of an
imported range, and their data will be lost when the link is updated.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Sheet -> Link to External Data
2. Paste the URL of an HTML file with table(s)
3. Import the data

Actual Results:
Externally-linked data looks just like verbatim data in the sheet.

Expected Results:
There should be a visual indication around the imported data, to highlight that
it is subject to change.

Reproducible: Always

** Please read this message in its entirety before responding **

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today,
LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed
bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this
bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the
details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in
getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice
from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information
from Help - About LibreOffice.

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to
RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help
- About LibreOffice.

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular
meaning that is not
appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a
REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your
bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from
http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat:
https://kiwiirc.com/nextclient/irc.freenode.net/#libreoffice-qa

Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone!

Sure, not a bug. It's a wonderful feature.
Top lines from user interface of LO missing.
One has to wonder if such setting is not maybe a default setting for new
installations of macOS, that would make this even more wonderful.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 114992] New: Delete a sheet in a calc document and LO crashes.

2018-01-13 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=114992

Bug ID: 114992
Summary: Delete a sheet in a calc document and LO crashes.
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.4.2.2 release
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Calc
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: t...@tim-passingham.co.uk

Description:
Crash on deleting a sheet (even empty)

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Open the sheetdelete calc sheet
2.Attempt to delete Sheet2 (right click on the sheet)
3.Calc crashes

Actual Results:
It crashes

Expected Results:
The sheet should be deleted, after asking me to confirm

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
I don't know when this behaviour changed - a few months ago.

If the calc document contains only empty sheets it works, but as soon as
something even slightly complex is inserted (in this case a pivot table
referring to a database I haven't supplied here, but it could be many other
things) it cashes.

There is a workaround, which is to move the sheet to a new calc document and
then discard that. But it's a pain to remember to do this every time.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 114991] New: Pivot tables where there is no data don' t update the table, leaving old and incorrect values

2018-01-13 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=114991

Bug ID: 114991
Summary: Pivot tables where there is no data don't update the
table, leaving old and incorrect values
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.4.4.2 release
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Calc
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: t...@tim-passingham.co.uk

Description:
I have a pivot table in a calc document accessing a query in a base database
(HSQLDB). When the query returns data all is well. When the query returns no
data the pivot table does not clear the old data out. It used to return
"(empty)" in the first cell, and clear the data.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open both the pivotDatabase and the pivotcalc documents
2. In pivotDatabase edit Query1 and in the criterion set the value to 1 for F1
3. Refresh the pivot in pivotcalc
4. You should see one row with f1 = 1
5. Now edit Query1 to set the criterion for f1 to 11
6. Refresh the pivot in pivotcalc

Actual Results:
On step 6 I get an error message "Error creating the pivot table"

Expected Results:
On step 6 I would expect no error, and an (empty) word in A1.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
By leaving old and incorrect data when the result should be an empty dataset,
other sheets that depend on getting correct or null data in the pivot are
fooled into thinking there is real data, when there is not.

Hello,

While setting the control 'Take Focus on Click' to 'No' works immediately,
if the sheet is saved, closed, and reopened (or reloaded), it has reverted
 to 'Yes'.

works for me in Version: 6.1.0.0.alpha0+

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 114463] Macro incorrectly run when a space is typed in to a selected cell

2018-01-13 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=114463

I am afraid I must re-open this.

While setting the control 'Take Focus on Click' to 'No' works immediately, if
the sheet is saved, closed, and reopened (or reloaded), it has reverted to
'Yes'.

I also suspect that, while this behaviour may have existed before when the
space was the first character in the cell, it did not behave like this for an
embedded space between printing characters.

I forgot to say that if I create a view with "Create View" wizard, the view
doesn't appear automatically too.

In comparison, with hsqldb embedded, the view appears automatically (so with
using "Refresh Tables") in both cases, so no error message of course with using
"Create as View" on a query.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 114989] New: Action Buttons hard to read

2018-01-13 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=114989

Bug ID: 114989
Summary: Action Buttons hard to read
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.4.4.2 release
  Hardware: Other
OS: Mac OS X (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: LibreOffice
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: daniels.lewis...@gmail.com

Action buttons, such as Ok, Save, Cancel, etc. are nearly impossible to read on
a Mac with OS 10.13.2 (High Sierra). The OS only offers two colors for buttons,
blue (which by default is a dark blue) and graphite (also dark). The font in
the LibreOffice buttons is black which is almost unreadable on a dark blue or
dark graphite background.

Most other apps use a white font which is very readable on a dark blue or dark
graphite background.

What is needed is an option in LibreOffice Preferences to change the button
font color to white.

A poor work-around I'm using in the meantime is:
Go to Mac System Preferences, Accessibility, Display, and uncheck "Increase
contrast". This changes the dark blue buttons to lighter blue buttons. But it
lowers the contrast on EVERYTHING. This is not a good solution.

Those "small grey squares" appear when Field Shading is turned on.

The field shading for the earlier indexing (? no definition for whole words ?)
appears before the relevant text, where that for the sample concordance file
(set for 'Whole words') covers the indexed word.

And I've found a way to remove the old entries:
1 Save As RTF format
2 close the original file (header shows RTF, but field shading still apparent)
3 open new RTF file, then re-save as ODT.

This is the current behaviour !
If you use a template, the new document created with this template is linked to
it ?
each modification of the template will be propagated to your document when you
open it and you answer yes when UI ask you so.

Anyone want to break this feature ?

It is also a feature request for AOO

success

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Have specified hardware
2. Have OpenCL turned on
3. Start any component of LibreOffice

Actual Results:
LibreOffice hangs (inactive) and produces high CPU load

Expected Results:
LibreOffice just starts normally
(I read there's a blacklist for non-working OpenCL devices/drivers? So maybe in
this case the expected result would be that OpenCL is turned off per default
with this particular OpenCL configuration?)

Reproducible: Always

Attaching the old palette here since the extensions site doesn't accept my

install this extension you get an additional palette with full compatibility
for old documents.

Confirmed still exists in 6.1alpha. Confirmed comment 5 - this is not related
particularly to numbered lists - the last empty paragraph looses formatting.

This looks like an import problem, since MSWord 2003 reads the .docx just fine.
Caused by ~DomainMapper_Impl calling RemoveLastParagraph. Calling "dispose"
instead of "setString" works. See bug 58327.

2018-01-13 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=94420

Hi
You guys sent out a request as to if this bug is present in Libra 6. Yes it is
but its probably not a bug as such.

Having now worked with Libra office and all its respective iterations up to 6
and same with excel and its iterations to 2017, Buovjaga is probably correct
this a feature and not a bug. (still use OOO for some functions)

This feature is very useful when having to populate large spread sheets with
many rows and columns with repetitive formula.

Microsoft has made their column select and copy function, even less functional.
with now the shift up arrow combination taking you to page top and not to
column top, and if a table is involved things get very quickly in a mess,
which, if the user is not aware of this strange behavior can lead to sections
of spreadsheets being populated with different formula. (perhaps this why they
needed to introduce that irritating error detection zombie. ( shows if formulae
in columns are not consistent,)

The Workarounds listed, yes all work, but there underlying premise is wrong,
multiple TAB's or multiple down arrow.

They are using the primary column ( selected cell in this column) to select
the next populated row. The OOO function uses the final column (left or right)
once shift is pressed to determine last populated row of that column and
therefore its simply a three key entry.

The question that arises of course, do you want to match Excel behavior or OOO
behavior. This not a question I can answer, as it is a strategic question. I
certainly hope you never emulate the copy and paste behavior of Excel, where it
clears the clipboard as soon as a new command is issued or has no way of
recognizing the difference between insert clipboard or insert anything else.

Thanks for taking the time to ask the question, was getting frustrated with
some of your administrators dismissive remarks to users that have brought
things up on the forums, hopefully there is light at the end of the tunnel.
Will start sending in more bugs as at least I think they will be heard and not
simply dismissed.

Have a beautiful day
Bob
