I found the cause: the a.m. and p.m. symbols are defined incorrectly for locale
it_IT. Sardinian (sc_IT) for example is correct.
After testing the fix I will submit the patch.

Hello, Heiko,

In my opinion, there's an error of thought. What, if you divide 1 by 100?

The described way to input numbers is very useful for accountants and tax
advisors.

Your document is an ODF document created by converting an old MS-Word document.
You can see MS-Word numbering styles like WW8Num1. It uses several sections and
the columns are defined in the sections instead of in the page style. I guess
you could have more robust document if you did a true ODF document. Sections
are probably useless and columns can be defined in the page style.

Best regards. JBF

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 115101] Form Editing, Table Control, Add Field, adds wrong items

2018-01-20 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=115101

New WORKAROUND and CLUE as to where exactly this issue is:

If at first when you start to drag the mouse, you drag only right or left, that
is until you exit the Add field box, then this is your workaround! And with
this technique you can insert the correct field into your table control.

But if at first you instead drag up or down while in the Add field box (as you
head up for the insertion point), then you'll notice that the field selected
changes before you leave the dialog box. So there is some other event getting
triggered by the mouse drag that should not be.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 115126] New: Sent fax document is empty.

2018-01-20 Thread bugzilla-daemon

Bug ID: 115126
Summary: Sent fax document is empty.
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.4.4.2 release
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: LibreOffice
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: gisbert.j...@t-online.de

Description:
If the user specific field "Tools - Options - LibreOffice Writer - Print - Fax"
is empty and fax is sent via the "Fax send" button (LibreOffice button), then
the sent fax document is empty although the user may assume the whole document
is sent. The solution of the problem may be, that the LibreOffice action "Fax
send" checks the mentioned field. If this field is empty, then the action
should be prevented to transmit the control to the fax process of the operating
system (f.i. Windows 7) and a suitable message should appear.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create a Writer document.
2. Clear the user options field "Fax Printer".
3. Send the document via the "Fax send" button.

Actual Results:
The fax process of the operating system (f.i Windows 7) gets control and sends
an empty fax.

Expected Results:
The action "Fax send" should be cancelled.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: Yes

OpenGL enabled: Yes

@gmarco:
I have changed the status to NEEDINFO in order to make clear to everybody that
there is an open question that affects the bug report handling/fixing. I also
changed the O/S from Windows to All, as the problem also occurs on Linux. I am
able to change status because I fix bugs.
My main concern is that this bug report is currently listed as a Calc function
bugs and not as a locale time notation problem.

I think we both agree on the exact problem: the notation/presentation of
12-hour time values in Italian language/locale is wrong.
My intention still is to: set the status back to NEW, change the bug report
title to '12 hour time notation in Italian locale incorrect', remove the
Calc-function metabug blocker and add a locale notation metabug blocker if I
can find a metabug (or similar).
For the change of description of the real problem I asked confirmation to make
sure I didn't forget anything.
Should it have been a TIME() function bug, I would have tried to fix it, I
concentrate on Calc function code (that's how I came across this bug report).
As it is not, I can probably not fix it. Therefore it is important that the bug
report is labelled correctly as a locale time notation bug.

Does this explain my changes for you? And if so, do you agree with my intention
above?

Hello,

I discovered from documentation that the testrunner owns the test case and will
always call delete(). The problem can be circumventended by allocating a
TestCase with new();

+1 from this UI expert. Heiko, Stuart: thoughts?

> But - who can draw/design the other two
> icons (for "not visible" and "not printable") besides the lock symbol which
> is used in calc? What is the "process" to "request" icons?

If i am reading Gulsah's and Eike's patches correctly, the lock symbol is being
rendered from a font and not an icon.

> And the next question: In comment 9 a context menu in proposed for changing

> or replace them?

Additional to the click shortcuts.

> If this is in addition there would be three ways to achieve

> can decide this?

Yes this would be wanted, as only advanced users would know/remember the
shortcuts. You can take my decision on this. The entries would need to be new
UNO commands, so that they can appear in the context menu xml file.

I think:
- the problem is exactly the same (original post) and depends on a wrong
national time conversion
- it was still open in NEW status since 2017-01-12
- you should NOT have changed neither the status nor the original LO version
(earliest affected)

I hope some administrator can restore properly.

Bug ID: 115124
Summary: "Unable to insert rows" error message is not helpful
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.4.4.2 release
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Calc
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: ddascalescu+freedesk...@gmail.com

When I attempt to update a Link to external data, I get "Unable to insert
rows". I have no idea why. I can update from the same data source in another
sheet, so probably something's wrong with the current sheet layout, but I don't
see any merged cells or anything.

Can that message please be made more specific, so the user has a chance at
debugging the problem? *Why* was Calc unable to insert rows?

time notations

I have 3 comments on this bug report:
1. The bug report has nothing to do with the Calc function TIME(). See
attachment, where a directly entered time is used.
2. The 12 hour notation does not have 00:00:00, but uses 12:00:00AM/PM. The
text in the help file is in 24 hour notation.
3. The p. and m. in the Italian language are local (Italian settings) and do
seem to be incorrect.

I would like confirmation of my comments before I change the subject of the
bug report to something like '12 hour time notation in Italian locale
incorrect' and remove the bug report from the Calc functions meta bug.

first download a AppImage from https://libreoffice.soluzioniopen.com/
5.4.4.2 or 6.0.1.0; you only need make them executable

second in the ods file you need to move a bit the OS an browser image;
a bit lower and between them a bit more space

this will give you the same results as i have become when tested
