Product: LibreOffice Version: 5.3.7.2 release Hardware: All OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Impress Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: duder_t...@hotmail.com Description: Environment = Ubuntu 16.04 & Firefox 58 & LibreOffice Impress Version: 5.3.7.2 No combination of printer presets, printer options or printer configurations at the OS level will allow a user to select paper size. Impress is not aware of the size of the slide. Impress does not acknowledge printer configurations. In summary, the print dialog box is totally broken. None of the options listed below function in any sort of way: Print > Options fail = [checkbox] Use only paper tray from printer preferences fail = [checkbox] Use only paper size from printer preferences Print > General > Properties... > Paper fail = [dropdown] Paper size == greyed out fail = [dropdown] Orientation == greyed out Print > General > Properties... > Device fail = dialogue box does not read in any of the printer settings Steps to Reproduce: 1.Create a presentation that uses a 19"X13" slide 2.Try to print this slide (shrink to fit to 11"x17" / Tabloid / ANSI B) Actual Results: The only possible (paper & *.pdf) output will be a US letter sized document. Expected Results: This used to work in 5.1.X.X. It used to be possible to print to something other than a US letter. Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: Please fix the "Black and White" printing output. It should be easy for the user to print without the background image and have all entities converted to black or greyscale on a white background in order to make paper printing possible. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 115270] New: LibreOffice Impress export *.SVG = fail. Usage of " javascript:window" in a TEXT Link results in fundamentally flawed behavior in the web browser.
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=115270 Bug ID: 115270 Summary: LibreOffice Impress export *.SVG = fail. Usage of "javascript:window" in a TEXT Link results in fundamentally flawed behavior in the web browser. Product: LibreOffice Version: 5.3.7.2 release Hardware: All OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Impress Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: duder_t...@hotmail.com Description: Environment = Ubuntu 16.04 & Firefox 58 & LibreOffice Impress Version: 5.3.7.2 In LibreOffice Impress 5.1.X.X a hyperlink (' Link ') could be assigned to text, the slide could be exported to *.SVG and the hyperlink would function properly. Using the same code on text in Impress 5.3.7.2 and exporting the slide to *.SVG results in illogical window behavior in the web browser. Using the same code on an image (imported *.svg file) in Impress 5.3.7.2 and exporting the slide to *.SVG results in correct window behavior in the web browser. Here is the Link contents: javascript:window.alert("https://google.com/";);window.open("https://google.com/";);window.history.go(document.baseURI); Notice that the code above has three window objects. The *.SVG file created by Impress instructs the web browser to open three new windows if this javascript is assigned to *TEXT*. The *.SVG file created by Impress instructs the web browser to open one window if this javascript is assigned to an *IMAGE*. Note that this javascript is being used since Impress cannot export a *.odp to *.svg that has relative links. See BUG # 115236. Here is sample HTML code that demonstrates correct behavior. Create a *.html file and open this file in a web browser. After clicking the button an alert box will open up on the page, followed by a new window opening up @google.com, then the first window will reset to initial state. Click the button to open a new browser window. Try it function myFunction() {window.alert("https://google.com/";);window.open("https://google.com/";);window.history.go(document.baseURI);} Impress used to be able to create a *.SVG file that could do exactly what the HTML code listed above can do. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Create a new *.odp 2. Type some text 3. Select some amount of text that has been typed 4. Create hyperlink out of selected text 5. Insert > Link... > Web > javascript:(use code from above) 6. Insert an image into the document to compare behavior 7. Insert > Image > pick any image 8. Select Image 9. Insert > Link... > Web > javascript:(use code from above) 10. File > Save 11. File > Export >*.svg 12. Open *.svg in a web browser and observe the incorrect behavior of the text link Actual Results: Using text for a hyperlink does not result in the same behavior as when an image is used for a hyperlink. The link protocol must be javascript: since the file:// protocol fails for all situations when Impress tries to export a *.SVG. Expected Results: It is expected that Impress can export a *.SVG file with relative links. Impress cannot do this. It is expected that Impress can export a *.SVG file with javascript assigned to text. Impress cannot do this. Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: There are *many* problems with *.SVG export from Impress. A thorough review of this functionality is needed. LibreOffice should not refer to the 5.3.7.2 release as suitable for "an enterprise or corporate environment or a conservative user". [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 115268] New: FILEOPEN - Writer 6 crash opening MS office files if app not already open
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=115268 Bug ID: 115268 Summary: FILEOPEN - Writer 6 crash opening MS office files if app not already open Product: LibreOffice Version: 6.0.0.3 release Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64) OS: Windows (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Writer Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: r...@ravenet.ca Description: A regression I've seen in 6.0 RC2 and RC3 since stable 5.4 on Windows is if LibreOffice Writer or Calc isn't already opened and you double-click a word doc or excel spreadsheet to open it, Writer/Calc will open properly and display the file but immediately hang. LibreOffice Base being open doesn't appear to matter, only the supporting Writer or Calc itself. I initially thought this was related to network files or file synchronization apps but have been able to reproduce on files stored locally on Windows 10. Environment: Windows 10 1709 64 bit LibreOffice 6.0 32bit RC2 and RC3 Note that this never happens if appropriate Writer or Calc is already opened. This doesn't happen on LibreOffice 5.4.x OpenGL enabled/disabled has no effect. Tested on multiple Windows 10 workstations on multiple networks with multiple doc and xls files, though appears to happen more on certain files. I'll attach an example. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Be sure LibreOffice is closed 2. Try to open a file through Windows Explorer either by double click, or right click>open dialog 3. Note file opens, but high chance LibreOffice will hang if you attempt any mouse clicks. Sometimes LibreOffice opens a crash report dialog. Actual Results: LibreOffice gui hangs, sometimes crashes immediately with a crash report dialog. Expected Results: Should work fine as previous versions. Reproducible: Sometimes User Profile Reset: Yes OpenGL enabled: Yes Additional Info: Version: 6.0.0.3 Build ID: 64a0f66915f38c6217de274f0aa8e15618924765 CPU threads: 8; OS: Windows 10.0; UI render: GL; Locale: en-CA (en_CA); Calc: group User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:58.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/58.0 -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 115265] New: Enhancement to Middle mouse button panning
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=115265 Bug ID: 115265 Summary: Enhancement to Middle mouse button panning Product: LibreOffice Version: 5.4.4.2 release Hardware: All OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: enhancement Priority: medium Component: Draw Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: div...@gt500kr.fastmail.fm Description: This is an enhancement request for Draw. Panning is a basic documentation browsing function. To me, it as important as scrolling and zooming. Those two functions (scrolling and zooming) do not require to select a dedicated tool in order to work. With the Select tool active, as soon as the mouse cursor is in the viewing area of the document, they just plain work: the [scroll wheel] scrolls the document, and Ctrl+[scroll wheel] will zoom in/out. However, the same cannot be said of the panning function. To be able to pan, the "Zoom & Pan" tool needs to be active and one will then use Shift+[middle mouse button]. It would be much better to be able to pan just using the [middle mouse button] on its own (or possibly along with the Shift key) when the cursor is in the document viewing area, in Select mode. Various other programs work this way I believe. Steps to Reproduce: Activate the Select tool. Try to pan using the middle mouse button. Actual Results: Panning does not work. Expected Results: Panning works. Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No OpenGL enabled: Yes Additional Info: See Description. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 115255] [NEWHELP] Enable copy to clipboard of some text in help pages
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=115255 Buovjaga changed: What|Removed |Added CC||todven...@suomi24.fi --- Comment #1 from Buovjaga --- The simplest solution would be to do it without a button. We could have a CSS tooltip say "Click on the text to copy it to your clipboard". We could also include a text at the beginning of such articles "the texts looking like this can be copied to the clipboard by clicking on them". JS to target a class (not an ID because we want to be able to have multiple copyable elements in a single article): > var copyable = document.getElementsByClassName("copyable"); > > for (var i = 0, len = copyable.length; i < len; i++) { > (function() { > var item = copyable[i]; > > item.onclick = function() { > document.execCommand("copy"); > } > > item.addEventListener("copy", function(event) { > event.preventDefault(); > if (event.clipboardData) { > event.clipboardData.setData("text/plain", item.textContent); > } > }); > }()); > } Not tested, but should work. E.g. SVG images have a PNG fallback, but at the end of the shape import the PNG fallback is removed, which means the "actual" (not the "wished") z-index of the shapes after the SVG image has to be adjusted. Without this happening SvxDrawPage::getByIndex() (or in case of Writer, SwTextBoxHelper::getByIndex()) will throw when the importer calls getByIndex(3) but we only have 3 shapes. This results in not honoring the z-index request of the remaining shapes. Regression from commit 44cfc7cb6533d827fd2d6e586d92c61d7d7f7a70 (re-base on ALv2 code.
