[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 38370] [FILEOPEN] LibreOffice Impress do not allow open password-protected PowerPoint presentations in "read-only" mode

2018-03-01 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=38370

I had LO open those password protected from edition pps files with Impress
around mid march 2017 to the end of may 2017. It was exactly when this feature
appeared in release notes for LO 5.3 around march/april/may 2017:
"The contemporary Microsoft Office default Binary Document encryption "RC4
CryptoAPI Encryption" is now supported (Caolán McNamara, Red Hat, Inc.)"

I did not memorize the exact version, 'cause I was not expecting the feature
will get broken.
Some version from that time was opening those pps file without problem in
read-only mode. I was testing versions from 5.3.1.2 to 5.3.5.2 from download
archive but none will open pps, just display mentioned error window. But than
not all versions of LO are in download archive. All I can remember I was able
to open those pps files with LO 5.3.3 or 5.3.4 and then the feature got broken
with 5.3.5 or 5.3.6 because LO started to display error window about not
supporting password protected Powerpoint documents. Maybe Caolán McNamara can
check the code for errors?

No, this is not a dupes of bug 90374. That is an enhancement about having "a
fixed width across ALL tabs". This is about tabs that already have a defined
MINIMUM width. The minimum width can be circumvented by following the steps
above. This is a bug.

** Please read this message in its entirety before responding **

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today,
LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed
bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this
bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the
details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in
getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice
from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information
from Help - About LibreOffice.

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to
RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help
- About LibreOffice.

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular
meaning that is not
appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a
REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your
bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from
http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat:

I'm Wrong in my previous comment sorry.

I just believe that the bug was only the upper case but I had deactivated the
automatic update of calculation, and it make me believe that the macro was
executed on start because the column were there is my calculation was like it
was before I close the file. but in fact... so forget the thing with the
uppercase...Sorry ... I'm so tired of this bug

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 116134] New: Misalignment & wrong direction of Arabic contents in output EPUB when export from office to EPUB

2018-03-01 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=116134

Bug ID: 116134
Summary: Misalignment & wrong direction of Arabic contents in
output EPUB when export from office to EPUB
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.0.2.1 release
  Hardware: All
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: LibreOffice
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: yousifjka...@yahoo.com

Hi. I tried "export to EPUB" new functionality on office document in Arabic
language.

Frankly speaking, I was expecting a rubbish symbols of unknown meaning .

But, output EPUB file was beyond my imagination: Arabic contents displayed
correctly BUT with only one defect: alignment & direction of sentances is to
the left (from left to right).

Please notice when I said direction is from left to right I do not mean that
words rearrange inversely. But, I mean that character like "!" at the end of
the line will appear in EPUB at the beginning of the line.

Please compare attached files (original office & EPUB)

On this system the Arial font is version 6.98 (2017 -- 3,338 chars/4,453
glyphs)

And the sample text in the ODT document has a Bold Character effect applied at
100% zoom. Removing the Bold, or increasing or decreasing the zoom gives a
different spacing--but 100% is visually misplaced. At different zooms it is
fine.

And if I change font to use Arial Unicode MS (version 1.01 93-2000 - 38,197
chars/50,377 glyphs) the string with bold set does not display the same
misplacement glitch.

So IIUC this is a lack of Floating Point positioning for Glyphs bug 103322,
just weird that what should be a solid font to use is affected.

Hi. This bug is really fixed ! I finally test it on my Fedora 26 x64 bit
Cinnamon edition using LibreOffice version 6.0 AppImage. I used same language
setting that produced this bug on my installed L.O & the alignment is very O.K
I closed & re-opened file many time & no change in alignment (remain left to
right as it).

I tried to edit contents then save then close then re-open & alignments remain
same (left to right).

Many thanks for your hard efforts !

Sorry, but if an issue isn't fixable until another issue on which it is
depending is fixed (here: possibility to modify table styles) is no reason to
close it. There are some bugs in the code that depend on another bugs.

And this issue isn't only true when modifying table styles but also for loading
table styles of other documents into the current document. Loading of styles is
actually working.

This is a screenshot of the corrupted image displayed on mac

On Windows LO version 6.0.2.1 I put in a PNG screenshot (from MS snipping tool)
on my Impress presentation. However, when I open the file on Mac LO Impress
6.0.2.1 the image appears corrupted in the presentation (see first attachment).
However, if I reopen the presentation on the Windows computer again, it appears
normal. Furthermore, if I open it on a Linux virtual machine (on the Mac, I
believe version 5.4) it also appears to be correct (screen cap follows).

Seems to be an issue unique to mac (high sierra 10.13.3)

Armin, please have a look. It seems, that size and position of the unrotated
image is used for layout. In case you have no time to fix it, do you have a
pointer where to look?

Simple document to test behavior

The image is set to "right to Paragraph area" and " From top 4cm to Margin".

Rotate the image to 90°.
Expected behavior: The rotated image is positioned at the right edge of the
paragraph area and the top edge if 4cm below the start edge of the paragraph.

Drag the image to the right edge of the text area. Notice, that it will jump
back.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 116129] New: Calc Cell Range method ClearContents does not work with com.sun.star.sheet.CellFlags.STYLES

2018-03-01 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=116129

Bug ID: 116129
Summary: Calc Cell Range method ClearContents does not work
with com.sun.star.sheet.CellFlags.STYLES
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.3.0.3 release
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: BASIC
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: volker.lenha...@uni-due.de

Description:
If I try to remove cell style formatting on a Calc sheet cell range by a macro,
nothing happens:

oRange.clearContents(com.sun.star.sheet.CellFlags.STYLES)

But if I combine STYLES with HARDATTR, not only all hard formatting is set to
default, but formatting with cell styles is removed as well. This way you can
remove cell style formatting, but with the drawback of getting default formats
in the rest of the cells.

This behavior is proved for Windows 7, LO 5.3.7., Windows 10, LO 6.0.0.2 (32
bit) and for Linux openSUSE LEAP 42.2 with LO 5.3.0 and LO 6.0.1.1 (both
generic versions).

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Format a sheet cell with some cell style.
2. Take a cell range oRange containing that cell.
3. oRange.clearContents(com.sun.star.sheet.CellFlags.STYLES)
4. Nothing happens
5. oRange.clearContents(com.sun.star.sheet.CellFlags.HARDATTR Or
com.sun.star.sheet.CellFlags.STYLES)

Actual Results:
With (com.sun.star.sheet.CellFlags.STYLES) alone nothing happens.
With (com.sun.star.sheet.CellFlags.HARDATTR Or
com.sun.star.sheet.CellFlags.STYLES) all cells in the range are reset to
default formats incl. the cell with cell style.

Expected Results:
With (com.sun.star.sheet.CellFlags.STYLES) alone all cells formatted by cell
styles should be reset to default formats.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

@Timur

I forgot to mention that "clang" & "gcc-c++" are removed from my system by an
autoremove process ! So, may this lead us to discover a bug in DNF !

Just inform us: you said that L.O AppImage run O.K on Fedora 27, so does
"clang" is installed on your Fedora 27 by default or you installed it manually
??

Please do not ignore replay on this .
