[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 116173] New: Graphs not displaying all data
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=116173 Bug ID: 116173 Summary: Graphs not displaying all data Product: LibreOffice Version: 5.4.5.1 release Hardware: All OS: Linux (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Calc Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: pr...@earthling.net Description: Graphs displayed on screen do not necessarily include all the data which is associated with the graph. I create spreadsheets which cover a month of time and include multiple sheets each with data and a graph for each day of the month. (File sizes range up to about 1.25MB for full month). I note that later in the month the graphs do not stay up to date on screen. This usually occurs beyond the middle of the month. If for instance I add data for 9:00pm to 8:00am the data for 9:00pm to midnight may not appear in the graph for that day UNLESS I edit the graph - then the data does appear but on exit from edit mode the portion of the graph for 9-12 disappears. If I then copy and paste the above graph to create the graph for the next day (12-8) then the newly pasted graph (prior to editing) includes ALL data but the original is still 'missing' the 9-12 data. Save exit and re-open of the file fixes the problem Steps to Reproduce: 1.Refer to description 2. 3. Actual Results: Refer to description Expected Results: Graphs should display all data included Reproducible: Sometimes User Profile Reset: No OpenGL enabled: Yes Additional Info: This may be in some way related to the graph positioning background image problem I reported earlier today. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 115609] FILEOPEN - problem opening multiple text files in calc
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=115609 Peter Richchanged: What|Removed |Added Status|NEEDINFO|UNCONFIRMED Ever confirmed|1 |0 --- Comment #2 from Peter Rich --- Hi again, I am now using 6.0.3 and have found that there has been some change in behaviour but the problem has not been completely fixed. I thing the best solution is for me to give a full sequence of the events where this problem makes itself evident. I have a situation where I add data to a spreadsheet from 10 text (comma delimited) files. The sequence is: Open first spreadsheet (let's call it S1). Run a macro in S1 which constructs 10 comma delimited text files from more verbose text files created earlier by another process. Select file open and within that single file open window select the 10 text files - let's call these files T01 thru T10. Click Open (this is where it gets messy). A new BLANK window is displayed (titled LibreOffice 6.0) and overlaying this is the parameters window for the first text file (T01). I can move this blank window to a place on screen where I want it to be placed but the parameters window disappears and I must select the original file (S1) to get the parameters window back to the front - there is no panel tab for the parameters window. Click on OK (in parameters window) and the cycle starts again. The particular file window (in this case T01) opens at its 'original' position - NOT the place to which I moved it A new parameters window appears with a blank window behind it (as in 2 steps back). This cycle continues till all files are opened. I generally place S1 at the top left of the screen. The file T01 is placed directly over S1 then T02 thru Txx are placed in steps down and right till the bottom of the screen is reached THEN all the remaining files Tyy thru T10 are jammed into the top left corner of the screen. This feature may be part of the Mint/Cinnamon GUI. The overall result of this is that to get a logical layout of the windows on screen I need to move all 10 'secondary' windows. The other oddity with the new system is that the parameters window for each of the text files appears in the same place (ie it is apparently locked to S1) on screen where previously it would move with the new Txx file (ie step down and right between files). There have been improvements made after my original report but the system still seems to be clumsy compared with what it was like earlier in 5.x.x. https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=115573 --- Comment #43 from Lee <92ma...@gmail.com> --- With regard to comment 42, That first character should be formatted according to the "table content" style. Selecting a font changes the font characteristics for the reset of the cell, as would be expected. This bug is that the current definitions in the "table content" style are not applied where they should be, that being everywhere except those cells where a specific font treatment is individually applied cell by cell. The font characteristics are taken using the default value of the "table content" style, not the value of the "table content" style as modified for the document. It is the current definition of the "table content" style element is not used until auto-format is invoked (table->auto_format_styles) then reverted (Ctrl-Z). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

DOCX/XLSX seem to be the same. The main difference is that the original [Content_Types].xml has Default entries like this: The roundtripped file doesn't have that (except for xml), but has several individual entries like this instead: etc. Same with the embedded PNG. In general MS Office OOXML files seem to have a Default entry per extension, plus possible specialized entries. Additionally, the original XML has the "standalone" attribute set for [Content_Types].xml and all the *.rels files: The roundtripped files lack this (it's there in the content XMLs). This is by no means a bug, because the file is valid either way, but LO could possibly create a [Content_Types].xml that resembles more of the original. Actually, it might be a subset of bug 50090, but that seems to be more general, and I can't test with Windows Phone, so would prefer to keep this separate. Observed using LO 6.1 daily build (96d551636e9179eb6874a5156b191ef3bff0a10c, 2018-02-27_00:54:40) / Windows 7. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 61313] CONDITIONAL FORMATTING: Icon set should have a color reverse switch
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=61313 Gerrychanged: What|Removed |Added CC||tietze.he...@gmail.com --- Comment #11 from Gerry --- Hi @Ekansh Jha : Thank you very much for working on this. I think the original bug description was not very precise. I think @Horst actually meant "Icon set should have a reverse order switch". I think Horst had these icon sets in mind, where the icons only differ by color (e.g. the icon set that looks like a traffic light). In other icon sets (e.g. the yellow smilies), it is actually a reverse order switch, which is needed. On your question how to set the UI, I can give you my opinion and ideas, but I guess that @Markus Mohrhard has a clearer idea how the solution could best look like. So, please ask him, too. I am just a user :-) I also added @Heiko Tietze to this bug, because he deals a lot with the user experience and design of LibreOffice. I could imagine following solution: For ITEM SETS: I could imagine to have a selection field where currently ">=" is. The selection field could have the two options ">=" and "<". This in fact reverses the order. The selection field could be there for the first icon and then automatically applies for the other icons (to not make the order inconsistent). [For comparison: Microsoft Excel has a switch called "Reverse Icon Order". Hence, it does not reverse the signs, but just the order of icons. This would also work. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 116164] New: Cropped JPEG images get distorted when changing monitor resolution
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=116164 Bug ID: 116164 Summary: Cropped JPEG images get distorted when changing monitor resolution Product: LibreOffice Version: 5.4.5.1 release Hardware: All OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Impress Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: robert_averb...@web.de Description: When importing a JPEG picture Impress will try to read the resolution (dpi, ppi) from the JFIF tag. If this tag is not present Impress will use the resolution of the current monitor instead. Since the odp file format uses length units (e.g. cm) when defining image cropping, the crop values of images without JFIF tag need to be changed when changing the monitor resolution, otherwise these images get distorted. Unfortunately most digital cameras do not use the JFIF tag but the IFD0 tag. Please note that using a machine dependent default makes odp documents machine dependent. This explains user complaints about image distortion when exchanging documents between different machines. Steps to Reproduce: 1.Import a JPEG file from a digital camera into Impress. 2.Crop the image in one dimension and save the odp file. 3.Opening this file on a machine with different monitor resolution Actual Results: Image is displayed (and printed) in correct size but distorted. Expected Results: odp files should be machine independent. Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: Yes Additional Info: Suggest fix: When importing a JPEG image which does not have a JFIF tag, look for an IFD0 tag. If both tags are missing, use a constant (machine independent) default value for resolution. Any fix for this bug will change the display of some existing documents. Therefore, I suggest supplying a tool that prompts the user for a dpi value and converts all odp files in a given directory. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 115786] Unable to open styles window when sidebar is undocked
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=115786 V Stuart Footechanged: What|Removed |Added CC||s.mehrbr...@gmail.com, ||vstuart.fo...@utsa.edu --- Comment #5 from V Stuart Foote --- Hmm, behavior when docked vs. undocked differs. When docked positioned with a deck already active, a second click on the Tab bar buttons (or F11 for Styles) collapses the deck--leaving just the Sidebar's tab bar. A second click (buttons or shortcut) will expand the deck. Sidebar will not close unless the button action from View -> Sidebar menu, or the Sidebar's Settings droplist "Close sidebar" button action is applied. But currently when undocked, a second click (by button or shortcut)--rather than collapsing the deck to show just the Tab bar floating--closes the Sidebar and cursor focus drops to the LibreOffice application frame. That is the issue here, not the assignment of the shortcut or button actions. The sidebar in undocked detached state should not close when a deck is being selected twice. Seems the action for collapsing the Deck to show just the Tab bar when docked--is being mishandled when undocked. Meanwhile it is simple to recover--F10 (to regain focus to LibreOffice menu) -> View -> Sidebar will reopen the detached Sidebar at the last active deck. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
