** Please read this message in its entirety before responding **

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today,
LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed
bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this
bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the
details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in
getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice
from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information
from Help - About LibreOffice.

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to
RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help
- About LibreOffice.

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular
meaning that is not
appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a
REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your
bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from
http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat:
https://kiwiirc.com/nextclient/irc.freenode.net/#libreoffice-qa

Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone!

Warm Regards,

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 116645] New: Problem with Polish characters

2018-03-26 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=116645

Bug ID: 116645
   Summary: Problem with Polish characters
   Product: LibreOffice Online
   Version: unspecified
  Hardware: All
OS: Mac OS X (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: LibreOffice
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: izz...@gmail.com

I see problem on mac os x, Opera, Vivaldi, Chrome is affected.
To use Polish characters we are using alt+olascxzne.
But it seems that alt is captured by JS.

It looks the same as for this guy
https://help.nextcloud.com/t/not-able-to-input-polish-characters-on-osx-alt-capture/23494

I am using docker version that is marked as latest in docker hub.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 113960] [Tables] Adapting table width by default

2018-03-26 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=113960

The problem exactly is, that the table width is _not_ altered, after making a
column smaller or bigger – instead other columns get modified, what I
absolutely don’t like, as I in about all cases set up my column width exactly
to my needs. And I don’t like to do that process all the time again. :/

And oftentimes, the table alignment also gets altered. When I set a table to be
centered, I don’t like that to be changed. Only the table width (not the column
widths) need to change with content. There just is the default “automatic”
mode, which may allow the column width to adapt sizec – ok – but please don’t
do that in all other modes!

If you browse on one website, you also won’t like Firefox to alter the contents
of other websites. (Just for giving some random analogy.)

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 116609] TABLE PROPERTIES: Overhauling column width changes

2018-03-26 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=116609

My other bug is about changes for one column affecting other columns. This bug
in contrast is about the way table settings are implemented, because that’s a
quite tedious task. I for example like to propose, that column width changes
should be allowed even if the table would grow beyond the page width – but just
temporarily, for as long the user resides in that settings dialog (thus the
“apply” button should be greyed out then).

Any sorry for my language, I just got pretty pissed after having modified quite
some tables… :/

140894: Screenshot: Bug manifests with Impress, not with Writer

... and of course I managed to mess things up with my last screenshort. Sorry,
it was just LTR. I was thrown off since the Arabic was messed up already in
that state.

So, now here's a screenshot of the English+Hebrew and the English+Arabic
strings, in RTL and in LTR, in Impress and in Writer.

Reproduction for my screenshot - Impress:
1. Open Impress.
2. Edit the slide title (I used the title and set the slide layout to
title-only but that's not necessary
3. Type the following text (copy the next three lines)
LTR
English – עברית.
English - العَرَبِيَّة.
4. Now copy the entire title box; place the copy under the original
5. Edit the bottom copy's text
6. Replace the word "LTR" on the first line with "RTL"
7. Set the bottom copy's direction to RTL

Reproduction for my screenshot - Writer:
1. Create a new document.
2. Type in the following text:
LTR
English – עברית.
English - العَرَبِيَّة.
RTL
English – עברית.
English - العَرَبِيَّة.
3. Set the top 3 one-line-paragraphs to LTR, and the bottom 3
one-line-paragraphs to RTL.
4. Set a large starting indent on the 3 top paragraphs, so that they start
close to whether the bottom 3 paragraphs are rendered rather than the far end
of the page.

2018-03-26 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=114886

Actually, my bug report was about splitting the current list up in a) filters
and b) view/sorting modes. I for example would like to able to use the “used
styles” filter (maybe via a checkbox?) in conjunction with every selectable
style of that list. The tree lines would be a nice addition though, but are not
really my concern. :)

Nope! But in general typography would be better to be able to manually assign
"position" the underline, or to read the underline "recommendation" from each
of the fonts in the selected text/paragraph and apply the greatest of them as
underline. And stroke weight would need to be handled.

But any discussion belongs on the dupe bug 68573

2018-03-26 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=114743

I still see the bug on debian-sid in
  - daily Linux dbgutil bibisect repository version 2018-03-26
  - daily build 2018-02-25
  - local build of commit 5e18136a, 2016-03-26

Note that for my test I am aborting the entry into C14 with "".
If instead I complete the entry into C14 with "", the program
still displays the angled text in row 14.

The continued display of row 14 after "" is new sometime since
daily Linux dbgutil bibisect repository version 2017-09-30. "" restores the display of text in row 14, and it always
has, so far as I have noticed.

I wonder how my system is different. Since moving to a new (to me)
computer at the beginning of February, I do have other unexplained
problems:
  - In local builds, unit tests fail, always something to do with
fonts or spacing.
  - After I have mysterious changes to my desktop and to program
settings.

Suggestions welcome!

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 116642] New: [HELP] Incorrect description of the COUNTIFS function

2018-03-26 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=116642

Bug ID: 116642
Summary: [HELP] Incorrect description of the COUNTIFS function
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: unspecified
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Documentation
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: stanislav.hora...@gmail.com
CC: olivier.hal...@documentfoundation.org

Help for the COUNTIFS function [1] states that the function "returns the count
of rows or columns" - there should be "count of cells" instead.

The reason is not obvious from the presented examples, because they deal only
with data ranges spanning one column of a sheet. If the first example is
changed from =COUNTIFS(B2:B6;">=20") to =COUNTIFS(B2:C6;">=20"), then the
result will be 7 which does not relate to rows nor columns.

Maybe - having now the possibility to add example files - would be useful to
add such a file with more examples.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 116641] New: RTL text that starts with LTR character rendered incorrectly without explicit RTL mark

2018-03-26 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=116641

Bug ID: 116641
Summary: RTL text that starts with LTR character rendered
incorrectly without explicit RTL mark
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 3.5.0 release
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Impress
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: i...@miara.com
Blocks: 43808

Created attachment 140887
  --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=140887=edit
Wrong rendering + Correct rendering (RTL mark explicitly added)

Hi,

Following steps to reproduce the bug (Hebrew or Arabic examples):
1. Create a new Impress file.
2. set RTL mode.
3. write the following text examples (without quotes):
"English - עברית." or "English - العَرَبِيَّة."
that is [LTR letters]+[ - ]+[Hebrew/Arabic]+[.]
4. the rendered text is incorrect. if you write the same in Writer it renders
OK. it also renders OK on Impress if you add an RTL Mark character at the
beginning.

This bug can be reproduced at least as early as LO 3.5 (and tested also on 5.2,
5.4, 6.0.1) tested on Windows, Debian, Ubuntu.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 112343] Consider porting to gdbus.

2018-03-26 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=112343

As I understand, ScreenSaverInhibitor was last user of dbus-glib and check for
DBus support (https://opengrok.libreoffice.org/xref/core/configure.ac#9955) can
be changed from
PKG_CHECK_MODULES(DBUS, dbus-glib-1 >= 0.70)
to
PKG_CHECK_MODULES(DBUS, dbus-1 >= 0.60)

However some modules, e.g. sd/source/ui/remotecontrol/BluetoothServer.cxx, use
dbus and glib, so proposed change breaks build of these modules.

I believe fixing this is more or less simple for somebody familiar with build
system.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 116639] New: EDITING: Insert Large Video Not Resizing to Fit Page

2018-03-26 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=116639

Bug ID: 116639
Summary: EDITING: Insert Large Video Not Resizing to Fit Page
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.0.2.1 release
  Hardware: All
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Impress
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: doak...@gmail.com

Description:
When an image is inserted into Impress using Insert > Image, the inserted image
is centered and resized to fit the slide while maintaining the image's aspect
ratio.

If a video file is inserted using Insert > Audio or Video, the inserted video
file is centered but not resized to fit the page.

Example: https://i.imgur.com/RDJBVKq.gif

This is especially troublesome when a video's resolution is high enough that
the video size expands beyond the boundary of the slide. If this occurs, there
will be glitches during the presentation of that slide.

Example: https://i.imgur.com/n8Qvr9p.gif

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Insert > Audio or Video
2. Select a video file with a resolution of 1920x1080
3. Begin presentation

Actual Results:
* The imported video is not resized to fit the page.
* Showing this slide in the presentation will have glitches. For me, this means
the video actually sort of appears on the slide, then runs away.

Expected Results:
Videos imported using the Insert > Audio or Video function should be resized
and centered the same way images are resized and centered when using the Insert
> Image function.

Reproducible: Always

be added if the margin is zero (typically MS-authored documents). That is the

Underlining in LO is a synthetic calculated generically from the font height
reported by font metric. Underline position is _not_ extracted from the font
metrics where a conscientious font designer can specify where underlining
should be applied.

The strike through of descenders are annoying, as are variable positioning and
widths when multiple fonts are used in an underlined sentence, refactoring
would be needed to improve this.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 116638] New: MacOS: Unable to use my OpenGPG keys on MacOS

2018-03-26 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=116638

Bug ID: 116638
Summary: MacOS: Unable to use my OpenGPG keys on MacOS
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.1.0.0.alpha0+ Master
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Mac OS X (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: enhancement
  Priority: medium
 Component: LibreOffice
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: tkin...@gmail.com

Description:
Am running mac osx 10.13.3 with LO 6.1.0.0.alpha0+ Master and GPG Suite 2018.1
(gpgtools.org).

I have an issue with Digital Signatures. After raising the issue on
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=89037#c9 I was advised to
try and test on Master and the situation remains the same.

Basically no Digital signatures are listed in File/Digital Signatures/Digital
Signatures even though I have a valid OpenPGP key (Usable in Mail.app).

Clicking on Start Certificate manager, I get an error "Could not find any
certificate manager".

Documentation is scanty on the process involved in Mac OS but from reviewing
what the official documetation describes (Windows) it seems LO is unable to
pick keys/certificates from the GPG Suite or even recognize the suite as a
valid certificate manager.

Am willing to try out any leads, pointers that may be availed.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Save document on Mac OS LO
2. Go to File/Digital Signatures/Digital Signatures.
3. Click on Start Certificate Manager.

Actual Results:
Nothing is listed on the Digital Signatures.
An error is displayed on clicking Start Certficate Manager. "Could not find any
certificate manager"

Expected Results:
List the keys in GPG Keychain and be able to appy them to the current document.

Reasonable, but for LO toolbars the double >> signifies that additional toolbar
