2018-04-29 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=117342

Bug ID: 117342
Summary: Add Karasa Jaga to LibreOffice core
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.1.0.0.alpha1+ Master
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: minor
  Priority: medium
 Component: LibreOffice
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: riz_17_...@yahoo.co.id

Description:
The Oxygen icon theme, as it is known is not maintained anymore. From the
beginning of its appearance, this colorful-realistic style icon theme in
LibreOffice is a miles away from complete.

As a huge fan of Oxygen icon theme, I took the initiative to fork the icon
theme to match the latest iteration of LibreOffice named Karasa Jaga icon
theme. Currently it supports both small, large and extra large size one and I
guarantee it is very complete for very latest daily build (as this is written)
of LibreOffice. You can try it yourself and see the result, I've placed all of
my works including the SVG file on Github page:

https://github.com/rizmut/libreoffice-style-karasa-jaga

It would be a pleasure if the icons is going to be included in the core for at
the next point release (6.1). Can we?

Actual Results:
Lots of missing icon stuff

Expected Results:
Complete icon set

Reproducible: Always

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 117340] csv Fixed width exports whats on screen

2018-04-29 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=117340

Sorry to be a bother,

But any program that allows someone to loose data (especially without a
warning), be it buy design or otherwise, is in my option a bug.

I spent the weekend converting 30 some-odd files before I noticed that this
was happening, I just assumed the program would have warned me if I was about
too truncate some fields and loose data, (my bad).

To a layperson like me, "fixed column width" says the column should be "22"
chars wide(regardless of the type of font used), not 22 pixels wide(as in
saving a view of whats on the screen),

The way this is working now, it does not make any difference if I used a
fixed font (yes, I did try it - and same thing) or any other font, I still
would have to scroll through the entire file and see if I could find any of
those little red arrows in any of the cells that tells me my the column is too
narrow for the info to fit in the cell, (I have just over two million rows to
convert in a whole bunch of smaller files).

I am almost positive that the last time I had to do this it worked as I would
expect, but that was several years back, (somewhere around ubuntu8 or maybe
ubuntu10 and open-office was what was included in the distro.

Sorry for the rant, I don't mean to be a pest.

I would like to put in for a feature request...blablabla

Thanks,

** Please read this message in its entirety before responding **

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today,
LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed
bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this
bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the
details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in
getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice
from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information
from Help - About LibreOffice.

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to
RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help
- About LibreOffice.

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular
meaning that is not
appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a
REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your
bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from
http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

Using a monospaced font

### it's for numeric values no for text like the help explain.

This is not a solution. It just creates a new Window, which requires the user
to switch between windows. Switching between sheets is a quick action and
people who use Calc often are used to it. Trying to introduce a workaround with
a second window would just make things harder for the user. So hard that it
won't be worth the effort eventually. It's simple when you have only two
windows open, but most people have many programs open at once and scrolling
between open windows won't make it easier.

The fix here is to introduce a native feature that allows two separate sheets
in the same document to have different styles. It's not difficult to do (zoom
can be synchronized or separate for each sheet, that can be achieved for View
Mode too).

I am sorry that I still cannot reproduce the error.
I installed version 5.4.5.1 and set all the options as you indicated in comment
15. I followed your instructions how to open and edit the document, letting it
rest for more than ten minutes before doing again anything with it, and I did
this 9 times, nothing happened to the file, all images were there.

But I also looked for these issues in the internet and especially in Bugzilla,
and there is a lot of recent discussion about this or related subjects, so I
believe that, in spite of my not reproducing the error, your case is of general
importance. But it seems to be a hard nut to crack.

Your file would be very helpful, because you can reproduce (often enough) the
error with a standard procedure, as you described in comment 15, so hopefully
someone else can reproduce that, perhaps with an older Windows version than
Windows 10, which I use.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 117341] New: Conditional Formatting: Icon Missing from 3 Signs

2018-04-29 Thread bugzilla-daemon

Bug ID: 117341
Summary: Conditional Formatting: Icon Missing from 3 Signs
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.4.5.1 release
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Calc
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: dcoll...@superdan.net

Description:
The "3 Signs" Conditional Formatting Icon Set is missing one of the icons;
namely, the middle icon, which should be a yellow triangle. This previously
appeared correctly in versions at least up to Libre Office 5.2. Attached is a
sample file and screen shot which shows the icon missing in both a
conditionally formatted spreadsheet, as well as the Conditional Formatting
wizard.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Apply conditional formatting to cells: 3 Signs.

Actual Results:
Middle icon is missing from both wizard and spreadsheet cells. Other icons
appear as expected.

Expected Results:
Middle icon should appear as yellow triangle.

Reproducible: Always

If You say so, but there is no way to drag the Column width on screen to
exactly 30 chars wide in one column and 15 chars wide in the the next column
and so on.
And I have no way to know the width of a column in advance to exporting unless
I want to count the chars in every row of every column before saving the file.
Some files have over 125,000 rows in them, I am working on a small file now
that has 47,890 rows and I do not know what the widest cell is in each column,
Plus other spreadsheets I've use have not done this, They determine the widest
cell and pad the other cells to match, Off to find another way to do this.

Thanks

As you can see in the help:
"
Fixed column width
Exports all data fields with a fixed width.
• The width of a data field in the exported text file is set to the current
width of the corresponding column.
• Values are exported in the format as currently seen in the cell.
• If a value is longer than the fixed column width, it will be exported as
a ### string.
• If a text string is longer than the fixed column width, it will be
truncated at the end.
• The alignment Left, Centered, and Right will be simulated by inserted
blanks.
"
For me there is not a bug, it does as designed.

Well, obviously there seems more to it, as not only slide number but also
footer and maybe other fields get lost upon saving as PPTX and reopening.

For me footer and page / slide number are quite important e.g. for
collaboration or printouts and thus would be very good to have.

It seems noteworthy that there is a field with type "slidenum" in
ppt/slideMasters/slideMaster1.xml but no (corresponding) entry in
ppt/slide1.xml.

The "solution" in
https://stackoverflow.com/questions/36190387/how-can-i-add-slide-numbers-to-a-powerpoint-presentation-using-open-xml-net-sdk
indicates there ought to be such a field.

Indeed, adding

  number

just before seems to create a slide number which does not vanish on
saving / reopening.

closest thing I found is talking about spanned cells - I don't know about
spanned cells.

When I save as csv file fixed width, It saves what is shown on screen,
It does not matter what is in the cell, 5 chars or 30 chars if there are 10
chars on the screen, thats all that will export, it truncates the rest of the
longer cell or pads the shorter cell to match what is shown on the screen,

if I have a cell with 30 chars in it and drag the cell on screen wider it will
pad the 30 char with spaces on export, If I drag the cell narrower it will
truncate chars that are not shown on screen during export.

I don't think it should ever truncate a cell, but should pad shorter cells to
match the longest cell in each column.

So if cell A1 is 5 chars and cell B1 is 20 chars and cell C1 is 10 chars on
save it should set column 1 to 20 chars and pad A1 and C1 with spaces to match
the width of 20 chars as in B1.

I hope this is enough info.

Create some slide. Make sure master has page numbers and add page / slide
number to the slide.

Save in OpenOffice-Format and in Microsoft Powerpoint PPTX format.

Close file and reopen PPTX file.

Slide numbers are gone, they've likely never been saved in PPTX in the first
place, as MS Powerpoint-Viewer
(https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=13) doesn't show them
either.

This happens on several testet LibreOffice variants (e.g. 4.1.6.2 Linux,
5.4.6.2 Windows) up to and including 6.0.3.2 (x64) Windows and Linux.

But DO display on the same Mac with an older LO version:

I also tried Linux Mint 18 (Sarah), and found that the GIFs DO display with LO

OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal

 Component: Impress
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: florian.b...@gmail.com

Description:
While it is possible to select the option to have small caps text the text is
not correctly displayed.
It seems that is correctly annotated: when copying the text to writer it is
displayed correctly.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open new presentation
2. Write some text
3. Select the text and format it to small caps
(Format->Character...->FontEffects[Tab]->Effects->Small Capitals)
4. Write text

Actual Results:
The text is rendered as with the normal "Capitals" effect. That is lower-case
letters are not displayed differently from upper-case characters.

Expected Results:
Lower-case character should be rendered smaller than upper-case characters as
is the definition of small captials.

Reproducible: Always

Additional Info:
This problem seems to exist under windows as well so it is probably no system
specific.

Approximately since this dialog was “welded” (I didn’t bisect this; it’s just
when I first observed this), now it’s not possible to focus the character grid
by Tabbing your way to it. The only way to focus it is by clicking one of its
characters; then, you’re able to use the arrow keys (←, →, ↑, ↓) to change the
selected character.

If the character grid is not focused, the glyph preview at the right side
doesn’t change (this is another bug that is already reproducible in 6.0.x).

Hi
Still reproduce in Linux 4.16 & Version 5.4.6.2 Build ID: 5.4.6.2-4.fc27
and Version 6.0.3.2 Build ID: 8f48d515416608e3a835360314dac7e47fd0b821

But If I select an other data range before clicking OK to close I don't
reproduce and the Range for fill color is clear

New steps (and it's OK !)
1. Open attachment 101450 [details] (Bug 80302)
2. Double click on chart to edit
3. Format> Data Ranges, select Data Series tab
4. Select "Val3Vert - Rouge" data series
5. Select Fill color, clear the "Range for Fill color" zone
[6. Select another data range]
7. Click Ok to close

Regards,

Claire

The panel Styles and Formatting now has six buttons top left.
But I see you mean the panel Properties. Sorry.
Why that one, and not Styles and Formatting?
The latter also exists in Calc and Impress/Draw.
In the properties panel, the properties shown are the ones of the place where
the cursor is. That can the the styles properties, but may also be direct
formatting. So the properties controls do not directly change a style.

> Don't talk about a dialog at this moment. Imagine a style "Yellow" that
> changes the background color of the chart but you have the series selected.
> This unclear situation bothers me, and made me prefer the extra deck.

I expect a chart style to be a set of properties - as written in comment #28.
So style "yellow" should have more impact than only the background.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 117162] REPORTBUILDER - Chart isn't shown in report

2018-04-29 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=117162

Steps to Reproduce:
1. In LibreOffice Base create a table with some data (two fields at least) or a
query.
2. Create a report with the ReportBuilder.
3. Insert a chart in the report body and choose the source data for the chart
(the table or the query of point 1).
4. From menu: Edit -> Run the Report (at menu bottom).
5. It's expected the chart is OK in a Writer document.
6. Save the report.
7. Close the report.
8. Open the report from Base main screen to check that now there isn't any
chart visible.
9. Edit the report.
10. Once more from menu: Edit -> Run the Report (it's in menu bottom) to check
that there isn't any chart visible as well.
11. Doubleclick on the chart and select data range (Menu -> Format -> data
ranges (at menu bottom)) to check now the data fields are missing.
12. Another check: from chart properties menu, choose match master fields and
check that fields from chart data source are missing.

Because the chart is displayed correctly before saving the report, I think the
issue could be in saving the report or in reading the chart data when the
report is executed after it's been saved.

This could be realized with a new checkbook in the Calc options dialog as it
was done with the zoom synchronization through all sheets (Tools > Options... >
LibreOffice Calc > View > Synchronize sheet). Or the existing checkbox can be
enhanced to do what is mentioned in this bug report as it has a very generous
name in the options dialog.

--- Comment #25 from Robert Gonzalez MX ---
When opening the file created with LO 6.1 apha1 in LO 6.0.3.2 x64 all the cells
including the ones created by the Data - Subtotals have the default style and
the subtotals results have the correct style, but they don't have the bold
italics highlight.

Redoing the Data - Subtotals procedure, displays the message "Delete data? yes
o no". Answering yes refresh the subtotals losing the formatting. But the bold
italics highlight is not made, and the "Result" and Result2" styles are not
created either.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 88793] EDITING, subtotals don't apply formatting

2018-04-29 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=88793

--- Comment #22 from Robert Gonzalez MX ---
Hi.

Tested with Version: 6.1.0.0.alpha1 (x64)
Build ID: cb47f0d320994e001bc38dc2ee9b7d957b15e6ab
CPU threads: 8; OS: Windows 10.0; UI render: GL;
Locale: es-MX (es_MX); Calc: CL

I have made two tests, using Data - Subtotals, which is the case for this bug,
and another test using the function subtotals.

What I find out using Data - Subtotals is that in the new rows inserted by the
grouping, the cell style used for this is "Result" and is used in all the cells
with the subtotal results.
But if I apply manually the cell style "Result2" to one of the subtotals
results, the correct formatting is applied.

These styles are not present in a new spreadsheet, so I guess that they are
created when the Data - Subtotals procedure is executed.

Maybe in this procedure, the style applied to the grouping is "Result" and the
style to apply to the subtotal results should be "Result2".

Actually, creating a new spreadsheet in 6.1, and typing all the test data
again, and performing the Data - Subtotals with the menu, it doesn't create the
"Result" and "Result2" styles. Looking for them in the styles navigator window,
they are not present nor hidden.

When selecting the cells of the typed data, the "default" style is highlighted
in the styles window, but when a cell in the subtotals row is selected or
clicked, nothing is highlighted in the styles window, and there are no "hidden"
styles.

Also, the subtotals results don't apply the same formatting from the data used.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 117335] New: GIF images fail to display in Impress

2018-04-29 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=117335

Bug ID: 117335
Summary: GIF images fail to display in Impress
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.1.0.0.alpha1+ Master
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Mac OS X (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Impress
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: notinterest...@gmx.com

Description:
In LO 6.1.0.0.alpha1 GIF images in the attached Impress test file fail to
display.

This is a regression - the images display OK in the following LO versions:

LibreOffice 3.3.0
OOO330m19 (Build:6)
tag libreoffice-3.3.0.4

Version 4.0.6.2 (Build ID: 2e2573268451a50806fcd60ae2d9fe01dd0ce24)

Version: 5.4.3.2
Build ID: 92a7159f7e4af62137622921e809f8546db437e5
CPU threads: 4; OS: Mac OS X 10.11.6; UI render: default;
Locale: en-GB (en.UTF-8); Calc: group

Version: 6.0.4.0.0+
Build ID: 0d78d17249a58d95b4aa2e8fe09f08e22f20c407
CPU threads: 4; OS: Mac OS X 10.11.6; UI render: default;
TinderBox: MacOSX-x86_64@49-TDF, Branch:libreoffice-6-0, Time:
2018-04-11_09:33:49
Locale: en-US (en.UTF-8); Calc: group

... but fail to display in:

Version: 6.1.0.0.alpha1
Build ID: cb47f0d320994e001bc38dc2ee9b7d957b15e6ab
CPU threads: 4; OS: Mac OS X 10.11.6; UI render: default;
Locale: en-US (en.UTF-8); Calc: group

Steps to Reproduce:
Load test file "SixOneImageTest.odp" (attached to later comment) into LO
6.1.0.0.alpha1.

Actual Results:
On both slides (taken from a longer real-world presentation), the rectangles
superimposed on the background image are solid black. These rectangles are GIF
images that do not display.

Expected Results:
The rectangles should contain height graphs in yellow and graph labels in
white. Observe this by loading SixOneImageTest.odp into LO 6.0.4.0.0+ or
earlier.

Reproducible: Always

Hi.
Tested with Version: 6.1.0.0.alpha1 (x64)
Build ID: cb47f0d320994e001bc38dc2ee9b7d957b15e6ab
CPU threads: 8; OS: Windows 10.0; UI render: GL;

Still present.

In the attached spreadsheet, with four numeric data columns, every time I
repeat the process to apply subtotals, selecting one column at a time, a new
data group is created on top of the spreadsheet.

This **IS** a performance issue as I can repro it on three i3 and slower PCs,
while I cannot reproduce it on my i7 desktop. However, if you use the original
file that's not stripped down:

https://skydrive.live.com/view.aspx?resid=9FBE63963526EB25!411=PowerPoint=2=!AN5Q_kKPvn2eWUQ

Even that is animated incorrectly on my i7. I suggest you 3 with beefy machines
try out that file instead.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 62925] FORMATTING: enhancement: please add "chart styles" to the styles of Calc

2018-04-29 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=62925

(In reply to Gerry from comment #28)
> Of course, one probably cannot implement all these elements at the
> beginning, but please keep in mind that chart styles can comprise a number
> of different elements.

We have to follow the ODF specs that defines what styles are. There is a
volunteer interested in doing the work - that's why we have progress here - and
he wanted to implement styles and not just a color swatch, for example.

(In reply to Cor Nouws from comment #29)
> You mean a seventh option top left in the tool bar of Styles and Formatting?

The styles "switcher" is the topmost control at the properties deck in Writer,
affecting all the properties below. Don't get the "seventh" option thing.

> But that does not prevent styles to be listed and changed with a properties
> dialog?

Don't talk about a dialog at this moment. Imagine a style "Yellow" that changes
the background color of the chart but you have the series selected. This
unclear situation bothers me, and made me prefer the extra deck.

Tra to migrate the attached database - only 7 tables without content, but
different field-types.

Download the attached database.
Open the file - contains 7 tables with fields and different datatypes.
Now execute the migration.
Migration ends with an error - no really usable information about the
background for the error.
No tables are available.
Save the file.
Reopen the file.
One table ("tabTimeDate") is available. All other tables are lost.

Expected behavior: Only one table is lost, because there is only one
error-message.

With this migration-behavior it seems to be very tricky to find the reason for
a failing migration. Couldn't be there are fields in all the 6 tables, which
couldn't be imported.

After downloading the new version from the website the bug seems to be
non-existent. I use Debian and the repos are usually behind for stability and
security reasons. I assume the problem was due to extension version/
LibreOffice version issues. Thank you for your time.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 117331] New: Remove Split Package for Java 9 compatibility

2018-04-29 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=117331

Bug ID: 117331
Summary: Remove Split Package for Java 9 compatibility
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.4.2.2 release
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: sdk
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: f.be...@outlook.de

Description:
The Java libraries ridl, unoil, juh, and jurt all export the package
'com.sun.star'.
This makes them incompatible with the Java 9 module system.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Add at least two libraries to the module path.
2. Compile.

Actual Results:
Compilation fails with

error: the unnamed module reads package com.sun.star.security from both unoil
and ridl
error: the unnamed module reads package com.sun.star.task from both unoil and
ridl
error: the unnamed module reads package com.sun.star.util from both unoil and
ridl
error: the unnamed module reads package com.sun.star.script from both unoil and
ridl
error: the unnamed module reads package com.sun.star.uno from both jurt and
ridl

Expected Results:
Compilation completes without errors.

Reproducible: Always

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 117302] LibreOffice crash if try to save a new file

2018-04-29 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=117302

I can confirm the issue under openSUSE Tumbleweed.

Version: 6.0.3.2
Build-ID: 00m0(Build:2)
CPU-Threads: 4; BS: Linux 4.16; UI-Render: Standard; VCL: gtk3;
Gebietsschema: de-DE (de_DE.UTF-8); Calc: group

- Open LibreOffice by calling the actual program using KDE 5.12.4
- "Open File" dialog
--> crash

Tried to re-start in safe mode by resetting the full scheme - same issue.

If I open LibreOffice using an existing odt-file from KDE Dolphin, the content
will be shown as expected. With "Save As" is leads immediately to a crash.

If I start LibreOffice from Konsole, the following error message appears:

(soffice:4289): GVFS-RemoteVolumeMonitor-WARNING **: 15:21:27.153: remote
volume monitor with dbus name org.gtk.vfs.GoaVolumeMonitor is not supported

(soffice:4289): GLib-GIO-ERROR **: 15:21:27.258: No GSettings schemas are
installed on the system
