https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=118656 Mike Kaganski changed: What|Removed |Added Status|UNCONFIRMED |RESOLVED Resolution|--- |INVALID --- Comment #2 from Mike Kaganski --- Thank you for your report. Yet, there are some problems with it. First: it doesn't work like "let me saver options (I don't tell you the exact list); *for example* sort". You either list all options you need, or even file different reports for each (group of) options. Otherwise, the report is about unspecified matter, and thus about nothing. Second: there is already such option. It is called "templates". Just save a spreadsheet with your preferred options as a template (*.OTS), and (optionally) set that template as your default. See online help: https://helponline.libreoffice.org/latest/en-US/text/shared/01/0111.html for details. Resolving INVALID. https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=106852 --- Comment #7 from j...@curioussymbols.com --- My suggestion: * modify the dialog so that the 'values only' and 'values and formats' buttons are accompanied by text labels with the 'V' and 'O' shortcuts. * remove the 'Transpose' button; there is already a 'transpose' checkbox, and this is an occasional-use operation, I suspect. This makes space for the larger required buttons with text labels Example of button with image + label: https://developer.gnome.org/gtk3/stable/GtkLockButton.html I believe this problem, would also help usability, as the meaning of those icons in the new dialog is not very intuitive -- most users would need to mouse over them to see the label anyway, in order to be sure they understood the meaning of them. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 118654] New: strange behaviour when typing formula containing named cell '_C'
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=118654 Bug ID: 118654 Summary: strange behaviour when typing formula containing named cell '_C' Product: LibreOffice Version: 5.4.6.2 release Hardware: All OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Calc Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: j...@curioussymbols.com Description: LO misbehaves when user attempts to use a cell name 'C' (which is automatically converted to '_C' to avoid clash with C1R1 naming). When the user attempts to type the name _C at the end of a formula, input text is mysteriously disappeared, as if autocorrect is acting on the text, even though it is unclear why. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Create new sheet 2. In A1, enter 'C' 3. In B1, enter '800' 4. In A2, enter 'alpha' 5. In B2, enter '0.8' 6. Select cells A1:B2, then click menu Sheets->Names->Create and press enter (just 'left column' selected in dialog) 7. Move to cell B1 and notice that the cell has become named '_C' as expected 8. In A3, enter, '=1 - alpha/C' and press ENTER Actual Results: After typing ENTER at step 8, the contents of the cell have become = 1 - _C and the editing is still active, ie the input has not been completed. If I press ENTER one more time, I get the WRONG cell value -799. Expected Results: I would have expected the input to have been completed, and the cell should show a value of 0.999. Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: Note: I checked my AutoCorrect options; there is no entry there for '_C'. This is not an autocorrect action. Note: I can obtain the correct input by pressing SPACE at step 8, BEFORE pressing ENTER. https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=115950 --- Comment #13 from Eike Rathke --- So the root cause seems to be the unconditional return true in SvTreeListBox::DoubleClickHdl() introduced with http://cgit.freedesktop.org/libreoffice/core/commit/?id=b649ce123dea372359ec571135a68eb3de844e5b that should instead be the previous return !aDoubleClickHdl.IsSet() || aDoubleClickHdl.Call(this); which fixes *this* crash that occurs after the pView->DoubleClickHdl() returned true. But with false we crash at the end of SvImpLBox::MouseButtonDown() in aSelEng.SelMouseButtonDown( rMEvt ) because the SvImplBox is already destroyed (together with the dialog and tabpage) (and aSelEng.GetSelectionMode() returned a random value not SelectionMode::NONE). They worked without a problem under 5.4.7 and 6.0.5, using Ubuntu 18.04. I got some older ones in a backup, 4.x versions, but I am interested in the video type in the file giving you problems. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 118652] New: opening a large tab delimited file take a long time when tab is not checked off as one of the default delimiters.
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=118652 Bug ID: 118652 Summary: opening a large tab delimited file take a long time when tab is not checked off as one of the default delimiters. Product: LibreOffice Version: 6.0.5.2 release Hardware: All OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Calc Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: kith.prad...@einstein.yu.edu Description: When I try to open a large file (~18mb) that is delimited by tab, sometimes it takes calc a very long time to open. I noticed if I have tab as one of the default delimiters already checked off, then opening the file only takes a few seconds, but if tabs are unchecked it can take more than 30 minutes! For larger files I've waited more than an hour before giving up and killing the process. I just found out I could work around this problem by first opening a small tab delimited file, making sure to check off the tab checkbox, closing calc, then opening the large tab delimited file. For small files, when you open delimited txt you can usually fiddle with the checkboxes on the loading screen to see which delimiter to use. I'm guessing Calc is running into problems populating that preview table. Maybe it's reading the entire line(or the entire file), not running into any expected delimiters so it thinks there's just one super sized cell, then it's getting stuck trying to allocate memory or initializing the sheet with default values of those super sized cells? When tab is already one of the default delimiters it takes less than a second to populate the preview panel. Steps to Reproduce: 1. have a large tab delimited file 2. try to open it when tab is not checked off as one of the default delimiters 3. wait Actual Results: Takes too long to load. Usually I have to kill the process before then. Expected Results: It should have opened in a few seconds Reproducible: Sometimes User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: Version: 6.0.5.2 Build ID: 1:6.0.5~rc2-0ubuntu0.14.04.1~lo1 CPU threads: 8; OS: Linux 4.4; UI render: default; VCL: gtk2; Locale: en-US (en_US.UTF-8); Calc: CL -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

With sufficient Memory assigned, the rest of the Fade is, in fact, quite Smooth. The result is the new image leaps into view, then begins to Fade Smoothly until fully faded. Steps to Reproduce: 1.In Slideshow, slide Transition, use Fade Smoothly. 2.Select 3 or 4 second Fade duration. 3.Run slideshow. 4.The slower you want the Fade, the more abrupt the jump start will appear. Actual Results: The new image (#2) appears instantly at let's say 25% (not 0%) before fading IN. So, the transition begins with a "jump start" at 100%/25% for image1/image2 and slowly progresses to 0%/100%. The fade duration is reduced by the actual value of the jump. Expected Results: Imagine using a broadcast video switcher and fading slowly from one image to another.
