Yes, as from description of commit https://gerrit.libreoffice.org/57724 tdf#118304 reselect current glyph on changing font preview glyph will rerender the glyph if its there, or the glyph description changes to "missing glyph" if its not there anymore. Don't auto select first entry of the subset when font changes, leave it as unselected and let the glyph determine what's ends up there So, keeping the current codepoint value when changing fonts, and displaying "Missing Glyph" error is better UX when the font does not contain the search target. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 90863] ACCESSIBILITY Controls Apply and Remove in dialog Fields, tab Variables, not accessible by key board
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=90863 --- Comment #6 from QA Administrators --- ** Please read this message in its entirety before responding ** To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today, LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed bugs which have not been touched for over a year. There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in getting confirmation that the bug is still present. If you have time, please do the following: Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/ If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. Please DO NOT Update the version field Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker) Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular meaning that is not appropriate in this case) If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a REGRESSION. To do so: 1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/ 2. Test your bug 3. Leave a comment with your results. 4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo'; 4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat: https://kiwiirc.com/nextclient/irc.freenode.net/#libreoffice-qa Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone! [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 118824] .CurrentValue Returns Wrong Value in Base - Different from OOo
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=118824 --- Comment #2 from Drew Jensen --- You are correct currentvalue does return a different result between AOO and LibO, and appears to have done so since LibO 4.1. I find this mentioned in a comment, from 2015, on an issue https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=91828#c10 "Since LO 4.1 CurrentValue of a listbox changed to the value, which should be saved in the database. Older versions will show the text, which could be seen on the screen." That sounds a bit like it might of been intentional, but I read over the release notes for 4.0, 4.1 and 4.2 in which there is mention of changes to checkbox form controls, but none about listbox and a change in currentvalue. Nor could I see any mentioned in the API changes listed there. For a workaround you just need to treat the control as if multi-select is turned on and use the SelectedItems and ListItems to retrieve the string. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

That's a nice feature of the PDF, but it makes the file ridiculously big, and it's probably not what the user expected. Expected Results: PDF should not contain a video - it's expected to be a printable format. Actually, some people may find this useful, but many would not. So I'm suggesting making this an option. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 33603] Presenter notes should be available in normal view as a scrolling pane
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=33603 --- Comment #21 from Richard Neill --- You're absolutely right. When I make slides, I am always editing the visuals (what goes on the slide and then the projector screen), and my speech (what goes in the notes, and I use as the autocue) in parallel. It would make LO *so* much more productive if the speaker notes were always visible at the same time, rather than laboriously having to context switch in and out of the Notes view (about 5 seconds every time, after the slides re-flow). I estimate this one thing would have saved me 10 hours of work this week. In an ideal world, for me: * The area around the slide itself would be locked, to avoid pointless hor/vert scrolling * The notes would always be visible, under the main slide, [or perhaps in a side panel] - and the place for typing them shouldn't move around or be deletable. * The notes area would be forced to plaintext - yes, I want to be able to embed line-breaks (and maybe bold/italic/underline), but I really don't want any more than that level of formatting - and it always looks messy on printouts if the speaker notes embed random font sizes, or the position moves around underneath the slide. * When giving a presentation, the notes should show up in the optimal way for autocue, say at 18pt font, in one of the most legible - this might be a property of LO's config, rather than the specific presentation - and obviously, shrink the font if the notes are so long that they scroll off the screen! * When exporting, the notes should be well laid out under the slide, and should not move sideways. Fixing this would definitely merit a bug bounty from me - thanks. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 118723] Key events can be handled in wrong order by Basic scripts
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=118723 --- Comment #4 from Alex Fedorov --- I have attached input_mangle.vbs script that demonstrates input mangling more clearly. Key press event handler (KeyHandler1_KeyPressed(oEvent) function) just logs input, waits 100 ms and returns; it does not consume input. Logged input can be displayed by pressing the "=" key. The problem is that, even if the input is passed to the handler in the correct order (see input log to verify this), the delay in key press handler causes LO to print characters entered by the user in entirely wrong order. Steps to reproduce: Create a new module, paste script contents and run reg1() sub. Try to print something. Observe, that the output is wrong. In my case, typing "the quick brown fox" printed "hte qiukc brwon fox". Press "=" to display the input log (in my case: "the quick brown fox"). For example the file manager opened on the left side with the convenient width and Writer on the rest of the screen. It defines why this cannot be reverted - it leads to errors itself. Another reason to not revert this is that SdrObjects should be inserted to a SdrPage/SdrGroup, else functionality is not guaranteed. To fix this: - Add an exclusive boolean flag to SdrCaptionObj, only accessible from XclObjComment, that will be used to suppress graphic creation in SvxShape::GetBitmap - SvxShape::GetBitmap is a biiig time killer as we saw, mainly because always a full E3dView is constructed and used - ARGH! There are more elegant methods to create graphics nowadays. Will refresh that code. Metafile target can use SingleObjectPainter, Bitamp target can use convertPrimitive2DSequenceToBitmapEx directly. - SdrObject::bInserted/IsInserted()/SetInserted can be simplified. No need for a local bool, change SetInserted to a state change (InsertedStateChange()), IsInserted() will be directly depend on being a member in a SdrObjList. With this in place we may just let the SdrCaptionObj's create the graphics, it will be faster. But better not, this may increase file size and these are really not needed (at least nut until now). As I have seen most of these are PostIt objects anyways. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 118845] New: Both Male and Female Salutations shown when hide paragraphs of empty fields option selected
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=118845 Bug ID: 118845 Summary: Both Male and Female Salutations shown when hide paragraphs of empty fields option selected Product: LibreOffice Version: 6.1.0.1 rc Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64) OS: Linux (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Writer Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: domi...@dwalden.co.uk Description: If I have a mail merge document with a "personalized salutation" (male and female) and I have the compatibility option "Hide paragraphs of database fields (e.g., mail merge) with an empty value" ticked, when I "Edit Individual Documents" or "Save Merged Documents" the resulting documents contain both the male and female salutation. I will attach screenshot example. This may also be true when I Print or Email the merged documents, but I have not tried this. If I untick the "Hide paragraphs..." option, only the one line of salutation (for either male or female) will show. I will attach screenshot example. I have reproduced this on 6.1RC1 and today's nightly build. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open a new Write document. 2. Go to Tools > Options > LibreOffice Writer > Compatibility and check that "Hide paragraphs of database fields..." is ticked. Tick it if not and click OK. 3. Select Tools > Mail Merge Wizard... 4. Check radio button "Use current document" and click Next. 5. Check radio button "E-mail message" (it is also reproducible with "Letter") and click Next. 6. If you do not have an address list, click Select Different Address List, in the new dialog click "Add..." and select an address list (you may use the one I will attach). Click OK and then Next. 7. Make sure that both "This document should contain a salutation" and "Insert personalized salutation" are ticked, and that you have both a Male and Female variant of the Salutation (which I guess is default). Click Next and then Finish. 8. Click "Edit Individual Documents" Actual Results: You will see one or more new documents which start: "Dear Mrs. Lname, Dear Mr. Lname," Expected Results: Each document should start either: "Dear Mrs. Lname," or "Dear Mr. Lname," (In our case probably the latter as we have not distinguished the genders of our address entries) Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: Yes Additional Info: _Versions_ 6.1RC1 (6.1.0.1_Linux_x86-64_deb) 6.1.0.1.0+ 4e5248f32d8fdfd4655bd15bd60d83e9a0c6e540 2018-07-19_00:36:46 Linux-rpm_deb-x86_64 The option: "Hide paragraphs of database fields (e.g., mail merge) with an empty value" was added under bug 35798 and is listed in the 6.1 Release Notes https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/ReleaseNotes/6.1#Mail_merge. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

I reproduce the described behavior. That said I am not sure that it should be changed because there is at least 2 very easy ways to export directly in PDF format: 1/ menu File > Export As... > choose the kind of PDF export you want 2/ icon Export as PDF in the standard toolbar (same as "Export Directly as PDF" menu) 3/ you can add a second "Export as PDF" icon which open the export dialog: see menu Tools > Customize > Toolbars tab So I suggest to close this bug report as WontFix.
