[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 119022] Image missing with special paste RTF for Image with caption

It seems the picture shape is treated as fake picture and it's content is
ignored.

In RTF, shapeType is set to ESCHER_ShpInst_TextBox (202) and that value is
taken when parsing \shppict and \pict and \picprop

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 51373] Allow restart numbering in paragraph styles

2018-08-05 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=51373

I also confirm this exists.

Very frustrating to not have a style that will restart numbering.

I prefer style because it can follow another style without having to click on
the numbering button.

** Please read this message in its entirety before responding **

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today,
LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed
bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this
bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the
details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in
getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice
from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information
from Help - About LibreOffice.

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to
RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help
- About LibreOffice.

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular
meaning that is not
appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a
REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your
bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from
http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat:
https://kiwiirc.com/nextclient/irc.freenode.net/#libreoffice-qa

Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone!

Warm Regards,
QA Team

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 119117] New: German sort algorithm "phone book" does not work

2018-08-05 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=119117

Bug ID: 119117
Summary: German sort algorithm "phone book" does not work
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: Inherited From OOo
  Hardware: x86 (IA32)
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Calc
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: rb.hensc...@t-online.de

Created attachment 143986
  --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=143986=edit
Example for "alphanumeric" and "phone book" sorting

For data ranges with German words a sort algorithm "phone book" is provided.
But it doesn't work. It results in the same order as "alphanumeric". I got a
"phone book" sorting last in OOo1.1.5, already in OOo2.3.4 it was broken.

The attached file has a data range DataA for alphanumeric sorting with expected
values in column B and a data range DataD for phone book sorting with expected
values in column E.

About phone book sorting see
https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alphabetische_Sortierung.

In alphanumeric sorting ä is treated as a; in phone book sorting ä is treated
as ae.

Eso es correcto. No sabía que LibreOffice 6.1 incluiría la insersión de emojis.
El problema que reporto como sugerencia para compatibilizar es el nativo de

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 119113] New: LO6.1.0.3: On macOS in Draw the experimental Notebookbar(s) do not display

2018-08-05 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=119113

Bug ID: 119113
Summary: LO6.1.0.3: On macOS in Draw the experimental
Notebookbar(s) do not display
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.1.0.3 release
  Hardware: All
OS: Mac OS X (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Draw
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: mi...@filmsi.net

Description:
On LO6.1.0.3 on macOS (with experimental features turned on and the notebookbar
functional in other modules, Writer, Calc and Impress), in Draw none of the
"User Interface" options (other than the Standard toolbar) doesn't display
anything.
Screenshot attached.
Using sl langpack (100 % localized in Slovenian) on macOS 10.13.6.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Enable the "Experimental features" option in LibreOffice - Settings -
LibreOffice - Advanced.
2. Open Draw module.
3. Select any other option than "Standard toolbar" in View - User interface.

Actual Results:
No toolbar is displayed.

Expected Results:
The proper notebookbar or toolbar should be displayed, as in other modules.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
It seems this wasn't working properly already on 6.1b2, but didn't notice it at
that time. Only tried it because of the Linux screenshot in this post:

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 119087] FILESAVE PPTX: PowerPoint wants to repair the file after roundtrip and cannot open it

2018-08-05 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=119087

The error only occurs, if the file was saved in OOXML strict by PowerPoint.

The faulty "presentation.xml" looks as if the new exported elements are written
on top of the original file, so that there is a leftover from the original file
starting around column 667 in line 2.

I had already tried to erase/regenerate my user profile directory before bug
reporting but it doesn't change anything.

NB: this problem with LibreOffice Writer appeared recently. I had been using it
for years (including Navigator/F5), without problem.

Description:
I have a table with JPGs dragged in (usually two columns with some cells split
into 4 using split cell). Over these pictures I have placed labels with arrows
to annotate them.
The labels and arrows are constantly losing their position or z-index
(spontaneously disappearing behind the JPGs) both during editing and also if I
save the document and reopen it.
Every time I go to produce a PDF I have to go through all the arrows and labels
and fix it (about 30-40% of them, only to have to repeat this for the next PDF
generation).
It's pretty awful and it needs to be fixed as high priority.
The problem still exists on the latest release.

Is this feature supported by the ODF spec already? Meaning, can page styles be

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 119110] New: EDITING: Incorrectly displayed cell contents during editing immediately after fill

2018-08-05 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=119110

Bug ID: 119110
Summary: EDITING: Incorrectly displayed cell contents during
editing immediately after fill
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.4.7.2 release
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Calc
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: bs...@mail.bg

When trying to edit the cell contents immediately after filling that cell, it
is displayed incorrectly - the old value of the cell is shown.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Enter a value in cell A1, e.g. 10.
2. Move to cell A2.
3. Press Ctrl+D ("Fill down" under Windows).
4. See how cell A2 is populated with the value of A1, 10.
5. Notice the formula bar still being empty. Press F2 to edit the content of
the cell - notice there is no content. Actually, this is the previous content
of the cell, it having been empty before.
6. Move the selection away from cell A2, then return to A2, notice the updated
content in the formula bar and press F2 to verify the expected content is
displayed.

The direction of the fill doesn't matter.
The value of the new cell doesn't matter. Actually, it's better seen when the
filled cell contains some value. E.g. let's have A2 contain 20. Notice how
after filling it the value in the grid changes (to 10 in this example), but the
value in the formula bar stays at 20, and pressing F2 shows 20 as a value of
the cell.

Expected behaviour: the newly filled value should be immediately updated in the
formula bar and in the cell upon pressing F2, not after the selection is moved.

However, this seems to be only a display issue, since formulas involving filled
cell seem to be updated correctly.

You need a special dialog for finding something in the query-editor? Please
declare it a little bit. I don't see much content where I would have to search
through in the editor and to find anything.

Do you need the dialog for finding something when creating code in direct SQL?
Here I would use an external Editor to find and replace content.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 101062] UI: Context menu of table of contents refers to index

2018-08-05 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=101062

The change probably makes sense in English as the word "index" means both
special type of index and general term for indexes, but:
- it might not work in other languages, e.g. "index"-"rejstřík" in Czech cannot
be used as general term (and this bugreport says that it is used incorrectly),
- using of ambiguous terms increases confusion of localizers, it would be much
clearer if we have "index" and "real special index" (I don't know which word is
proper for it).

Your note about preferring general terms over list of specific terms is
interesting, but I can imagine cases where the list is useful for users (e.g.
in searching for menu item names). In any case, the current state of index
related items is really inconsistent - menu item or dialog title is in the long
form.

LibreOffice already has this in works cross platform (bug 100100). Windows
builds suffer from an implementation error as in bug 105689 where this still
experimental feature does not correctly populate the Emoji's as drawn from
Unicode BMP and SMP.

Simply a => WF to do this independently for Windows 10 native support. But will
set it a dupe to the project's cross-platform feature.

The insert as image filter handles each page of the PDF with correct rendering
to canvas (but provides no page selection yet (bug 114234), so have to split
PDF externally, e.g. with PDFtk or similar).

Also when split apart the pdfio import to Draw of each individual page renders
each page fully, with some layering and font weight issues.

So, just the filter import/opening of the full PDF shows issues with 2nd and
3rd page of the PDF.

I'm going to do that but :
1. latest version never solved anything, about this issue, I mean,
2. my LO software tells me it's up to date...

I'll let you know if it works with 6.0.6 version.

Thank you,

  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org

This bug persists in LibreOffice 6.0.3. It affects not only screen display, but
also PDF exports.

Some footnote separators have roughly double the width. There are speculations
in various online forums about this following a certain pattern, but there seem
to be no workaround. For a fairly recent discussion, see
https://admin.createspace.com/en/community/thread/72691

Test with LibreOfficeDev-6.2.0.0.alpha0_2018-08-04-x86_64

Ok, I followed your advice and downloaded the LibreOffice AppImage Package:
"LibreOfficeDev-6.2.0.0.alpha0_2018-08-04-x86_64".
I wanted to understand what you meant with "I did Double-click on this formula
in LO master 6.2+, it showed fine, saved and reopened fine."

Yes, you can open the file and it "shows fine". Yes, you can save it (like I
did), you can reopen it and it will still look fine.
BUT when I double-click on the formula it shows its original content and not
the one I saw before. This happened with the above mentioned LibreOffice
version too. The evidence has to be in the file! (or is it more complicated?)

Again, I am really sorry that I can not tell you how I created it. I promise
you I only copied and pasted my own formulas and after some time the program
starts to go haywire.

=
Immediate and consistent crash when trying to open Impress through "File" menu
=> "New presentation". This is when using LibreOffice remotely over a VNC
session.

Downgrading back from 6.0.6 to 6.0.4 fixes the problem (I skipped 6.0.5).

I imagined to be a programmer who wants to check the claimed "bug".
On my freshly installed Ubuntu 18.04.1 LTS everything happened as I described
(see the video "Test of the attached odt-file").
Question: How is it possible that a formula is changing by itself only by
double clicking it? Where is the original content of the formula saved and
where is the content saved which I can see after opening the file?

So you got it working. Don't know why SUSE offers the JDBC-driver for MySQL and
installs MariaDB.

Would be better to open a bugdescrition in SUSE. The mysql-connector runs with
MariaDB also a long time. But with the last updates it fails here with Base
also.

My system: OpenSUSE 15, MariaDB ...

Sould we close this one as WORKSFORME?

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 119102] New: BASIC OPEN FOR BINARY does not delete existing file

2018-08-05 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=119102

Bug ID: 119102
Summary: BASIC OPEN FOR BINARY does not delete existing file
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.4.3.2 release
  Hardware: All
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: LibreOffice
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: jmichael...@yahoo.com

Description:
 In a BASIC macro,
OPEN path FOR BINARY AS #fnum
does not delete any existing file and create a fresh file.
Pitonyak's guide to LibreOffice Macros indicates that the behavior with
respect to deleting an existing file and creating a new file should be
identical to that of
OPEN path FOR OUTPUT AS #fnum
I find that OPEN FOR OUTPUT *does* delete any existing file. (Or at
least, it truncates the existing file to zero length.)
When the file exists, and is larger than what I am writing after OPEN FOR
BINARY, the resultant file is what I wrote in BINARY, followed by what's left
of the original file; i.e., it appears that the beginning of the file was
overwritten, but the CLOSE did not leave the end of the data in the file as the
last thing I just wrote.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Copy a file to "x.txt"
2. Write a macro in LibreOffice that opens "x.txt" FOR BINARY, writes a few
bytes, and closes.
3. Run the macro
4. Check the file to see if there is anything past the few bytes written by the
macro.

Actual Results:
newoldoldold

Expected Results:
new

Reproducible: Always
