https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=119641 --- Comment #3 from AaronPeterson --- The behavior should be that when I highlight a line of text that is on it's own, and tell it to become a header, the software should make what I have selected to automatically be a new element... not convert the whole containing element to be a heading style. I think there is something goofy with paragraphs and newlines... perhaps it is in the ODF specification... but the software needs to be smart enough to not force me to deal with that. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 119076] Add means to use the horizontal ruler to shift left indent but leave first line in place
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=119076 --- Comment #10 from Bernd Wechner --- I agree 100%. Just tested and it works. Ingenious. Yes, this shoudl close and become an enhancement feature for the docs. Because I asked this at ask.libreoffice first: https://ask.libreoffice.org/en/question/161761/use-horizontal-ruler-to-shift-left-indent-but-leave-first-line-in-place/ and not a soul knew how to do it, and we concluded it wsn't possible, so they recommended filing a feature request. Imagine my mix of joy and embarrassment to discover CTRL does this! Embrassment because I iterally thought I'd tried every combination of keys CRTL, SHIFT, ALT alone and in pairs and as a triplet) held down while dragging to test and try and find one that worked on the supposition it probably already existed! But I didn't find it. Human error clearly! But no did I find it in the documentation nor did any community members at ask.libreoffice know about so, indeed this points to a wonderful little hidden feature that would benefit from being properly and well documented! -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
