2018-09-02 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=119656

Bug ID: 119656
   Summary: Crash if I open the Print dialog after installing a
printer in Cups.
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.0.3.2 release
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Printing and PDF export
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: ketar...@hotmail.com

Description:
I have a Lexmark MS415dn. I have installed the driver
"Lexmark-ADT-PPD-Files-1.0-02242017.x86_64.rpm" from Lexmark site.
The print menu was working just fine, but I never printed before in LO.
Because in some apps the printer wasn't displayed, I added the same printer in
CUPS, with the same name. So now in some apps I see two printers when hitting
the 'print menu'.
After that, I went in Writer, and I hitted file|print, AND selected the first
printer in the list, the app crashed. After that it's impossible to even open
the dialog. LO just crash.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. click on file| print.

Actual Results:
crash

Expected Results:
showed the print dialog.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: Yes

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 46933] EDITING: Numbered bibliography entry in frame displays [0]

2018-09-02 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=46933

--- Comment #24 from stragu  ---
Also confirmed with the following:

Version: 6.0.3.2
Build ID: 1:6.0.3-0ubuntu1
CPU threads: 8; OS: Linux 4.15; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3;
Locale: en-AU (en_GB.UTF-8); Calc: group

But for some reason, the numbering started at 1 if I had text before the
reference and the bibliography.

Steps updated for 6.0:

- create new Writer document;
- insert Frame (insert -> frame -> frame... -> ok);
- place cursor inside the frame;
- insert bibliography entry (insert -> Table of Contents and Index ->
bibliography entry... -> choose one entry from database -> insert -> close);
- place cursor outside of the frame;
- insert bibliography table (insert -> Table of Contents and Index -> Table of
Contents, Index or Bibliography -> select "type" = "bibliography" and check
"number entries" -> ok);

** Please read this message in its entirety before responding **

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today,
LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed
bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this
bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the
details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in
getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice
from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information
from Help - About LibreOffice.

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to
RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help
- About LibreOffice.

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular
meaning that is not
appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a
REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your
bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from
http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

details of the problem have changed.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 119641] Applying Heading style format goes to whole preceding paragraph

2018-09-02 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=119641

--- Comment #3 from AaronPeterson  ---
The behavior should be that when I highlight a line of text that is on it's
own, and tell it to become a header, the software should make what I have
selected to automatically be a new element... not convert the whole containing
element to be a heading style.

I think there is something goofy with paragraphs and newlines... perhaps it is
in the ODF specification... but the software needs to be smart enough to not
force me to deal with that. It's pretty obvious what needs to happen, and what
is expected to happen.

Unfortunately in safemode newlines are not handled correctly

I so very need when I press enter to function as a newline...

I had to hold shift to make a newline as expected...
Then the paragraph above changed with the current paragraph...
THe problems continue to exist in safemode.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 119076] Add means to use the horizontal ruler to shift left indent but leave first line in place

2018-09-02 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=119076

--- Comment #10 from Bernd Wechner  ---
I agree 100%. Just tested and it works. Ingenious. Yes, this shoudl close and
become an enhancement feature for the docs. Because I asked this at
ask.libreoffice first:

https://ask.libreoffice.org/en/question/161761/use-horizontal-ruler-to-shift-left-indent-but-leave-first-line-in-place/

and not a soul knew how to do it, and we concluded it wsn't possible, so they
recommended filing a feature request.

Imagine my mix of joy and embarrassment to discover CTRL does this! Embrassment
because I iterally thought I'd tried every combination of keys CRTL, SHIFT, ALT
alone and in pairs and as a triplet) held down while dragging to test and try
and find one that worked on the supposition it probably already existed! But I
didn't find it. Human error clearly!

But no did I find it in the documentation nor did any community members at
ask.libreoffice know about so, indeed this points to a wonderful little hidden
feature that would benefit from being properly and well documented!

No, only documents that have been saved with versions 6.0.0-6.0.2.

> Why 5.4.7 don't have the bug ? You can't copy working code from this version
> ?
That's exactly what happened, it's the same code now as before. And older
versions can't handle the bad files without the one-time manual fix, either. If
you see something else, it's a different bug.

Well - from the first glance, this looks normal.

When you start your app, it needs to bind to a LibreOffice installation; and it
looks the bootstrap information in the same place where the cli dlls are
located. The dlls in the SDK are meant to provide the necessary development
environment, not to be used directly (since they are not related to any
LibreOffice installation).

bnc#880448: Improved handling of placeholder shapes
If subTitle placeholder is not found, try body instead of title.
And use body text styles instead of title, for subTitle.

Also improve PPTShape::findPlaceholder to find placeholder
with just nSecondSubType type without the same index.

Matúš does not seem to be active anymore, so not adding to CC. Fortunately the
commit is not huge, so hopefully someone can figure it out without a
back-breaking effort.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 115573] EDITING: Table loses formatting when inserting a new row in a table

2018-09-02 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=115573

--- Comment #88 from Lee <92ma...@gmail.com> ---
I agree with maxime who recently posted a comment. Although it is possible to
make tables obey the current table styling by placing them into a new document,
that is awkward and costly. Consider a large document for which an individual
is responsible for only a portion of one chapter. Who would be the appropriate
person to restart the entire document? Who would be responsible for proof
reading the new document? To what part of the organization should this cost be
assigned?

Perhaps the status of this bug should be changed as it is not yet resolved.

count for non-numeric fields would be welcome.

No repro on Linux or Win with 6.1.0 and master. Maybe try with 6.1.1 when it
comes out in a couple of weeks:

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 72238] draw tables ignore cell attributes specified in style:table-cell-properties

2018-09-02 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=72238

--- Comment #10 from Regina Henschel  ---
The problem still exists in Version: 6.2.0.0.alpha0+ (x64)
Build-ID: a201c5c8c3e7ea14001b5634f330dbce2b1f4314
CPU-Threads: 8; BS: Windows 10.0; UI-Render: GL;
Gebietsschema: en-US (en_US); Calc: CL

Borders are written as paragraph properties, but paragraph borders and cell
borders are different, which you can easily see, if you use a table in Writer.
